Vol. 17 No. 3 NEWS WITH THE NICHOLSONS March, 1976
Dear Christian Friends:
^
rh
Our
summer
is supposed
to
be almost over, but
we
have been having the
hottest
weather of the year.
However,
we
are very thankful that i t comes at the end
instead
o f a t the
beginning.
The f i rst week
in
March
the ministers
met at Dimbaza near KingWilliamstown
for
Minister s Week. Twenty-five African ministers attended and ten missionaries were
present.
The
ministers took
more
than an hour each morning
for
their
meeting. All
that
I
talked with this
time fel t
they
had done more and gotten more from
the
meeting
this time than before because they had spent more time talking^.bout what they could do
to improve their work and less time on problems.
The Annual
Conference
has been se t
for
Mtubatuba
in
Zululand
for September
15th
through the
19th.
The theme for the
meeting will be
Jesus Christ .
This last
weekend
we set up the tent at
Boboyi
near Port Shepstone
for

people
asked that
the tent
be
brought back again
and
notice
be given through
out
the area
before
hand
that we
would have
pictures.
They would
like for
services
to
begin
on
Friday night so that they could have
more services.
Also present
for the
weekend
was a schog] prinr. ipal.
He
has asked us to
bring
the
tent
and set
i t
up in the
school grounds. He said
there
are so
many
people in that area who do not know
Christ.
Two more men have

this brings

the highway

The question most often asked
is How
are things in South Africa ? There has
been almost no problem in our area. There were s t i l l some problems in Johannesburg
when we l e f t b ut not l i k e those o f the
months
b e f o r e .
There are s t i l l many
changes
that must be made in th e land but
i t is
important t h at changes have been made and
more will be
made in th e future. Many hotels
and

that

opened to
th e Africans
because businesses
recognize that their people
make up a
great
part
of their
customers so they want to
increase their

The
Christian
Africans
are
caught
in
a
hard
place
many
times. They do
not
want any
p art of th e

bu t
i f they
do nothing
they
ar e marked by those who ar e encouraging

as being unsympathetic with
their

as well. Pray
