CentraltankbatteriesCTBconstructionforvarioussizesoftankbatteries.Fromsimplemonitoringsystemstohighflowsystemsthatincludedtankmonitoring,vesselmonitoringwithdumpvalvecontrol,fluidtransferwithpumpandvalvecontrol,LACTunits,liquidandgasflowmeteringforallocationandsalesmeters.Mostofthesesystemshavethecapabilityofhandlingapproximately20KBBLSperdayofOiland8KBBLSofwater.

UnconventionalwaterinjectionfacilitiesThesefacilitiesweredevelopedtoinjectexcesswaterbackintothereservoir.Weoptimizedthesystemusingautomatedcontrolvalves,injectionpumpsthatwerecontrolledusingaPIDloopbasedoffinletpressureandwatertankleveltomaintainaconsistentinjectionflowrate.Someofthesefacilitieshandleintherangeof70KBBLSofwateraday.

ConventionalwaterfloodfacilitiesThesefacilitiesweredesignedtoincorporatedesignatedinjectionwellsnottoexceedspecificdailyflowratesperBLMrestrictions.AlongwithspecificwatersupplywellsthecommunicatedviaWiMaxCommunicationstovariousPLC’stodeterminethesupplyofwaterneededforinjection.

TransferstationsConsistedoflocalandremotetankmonitoringfromvariousPLClocationstodeterminelocalpumpandvalvecontrol.Asasafetymeasure,awell-shutdownsystemwasutilizedintheeventofananomalyinthesystem.

GasPlantThiswasanewbuildfacilitywitha500HPcompressor,Dehysystem,JTSkid,flaresystem,andvariousvesselsforremovingfluidsfromthesystem.WeutilizedthecompressorCenturioncontrollerwithourPLCtodeterminecompressorshut-downstatus,andinletvalvecontrol,andflarevalvecontrol.WhilemonitoringothervariablesontheDehyandJTskid.

WirelessskidmonitoringsystemThiswirelesssystemwasdevelopedasacostsavingmethodtomonitoringlowflowfacilities.UsingEmersonwirelesstransmittersandgatewayonasolarskidmountedsystem.Thiswasareductioninprogrammingandinstallationcostby$96Kperfacility.Thisalsoresultedinaninstallationtimefrom3weeksto3daysturnaroundperfacility.

PolymerinjectionfacilityThisprojectwasdevelopedasapilotforincreasingtheoverallproductionofthereservoir.Itutilized5PDinjectionpumps,andaPolymerprocessingskidwiththreesettlingtanksandapolymerchoppersystem.Itwasdesignedtochangethechemicalcompositionofthewatertomatchthatoftheoilinefforttopenetratedeeperintothereservoir.

LiquidandgasflowmeterprojectsThisprojectconsistedofinstalling150TotalFlowgasflowmetersandthecommunicationsystemusingMDSTransnetradiosandcellphonemodemstorelaydatabacktothelocalHMIandSQLserverforgatheringhistoricaldataandreporting.

Well-controlsystemsInstalledLufkinSAMScontrollersforpumpingunitsthatincorporatedapressureshut-downsystemtopreventoverpressureofflowlines.Inadditiontoawell-shutdowncardthatcommunicatesbacktovariousPLC’s

FlaresystemsInstalledanautomatedflarecontrolsthatincorporatedmonitoringandgatheringhistoricaldataforreportingtotheRailRoadCommissionandBLMreporting.

CompressorstationsWehaveautomatedseveralcompressorstationsthatencompassedfullcompressormonitoringwithhistoricaldatagatheringandtrending.

WirelessWellmonitoringsystemThisprojectwasdesignedtomonitorthecasingandtubingpressureonnumerouswellstosupporttheproductionengineeringteaminoptimizingthewells.ThisdatawasrelayedbacktootherfacilitiesforlocalandremoteHMI,trending,andhistoricaldata.Thiswasalsoacostsavingprojectof$25Kperwelllocation.

VRU(VaporRecoveryUnit)ProjectsEveryCentralProcessingFacilityutilizedaVRUforgasrecoveryefforts.GasvolumeandsystemstatuswasmonitoredindeterminingfailuresintheVRUoranomaliesintheprocessingfacility.

DrillingCapabilitiesBOPTransportersystemDesignedacompleteelectricBOPtransportersystemusing22variablespeeddrives,motorencoders,withredundantPLC’s.EverysystemwasdesignedasaskidsystemforhousingthedifferentpiecesoftheBOP.Thiswasforoffshorelocations.

MOCProcessesWecanassistwiththeOSHArequiredMOC(managementofchange)processtoincorporateneworexistingchangestofacilities.Thissystemengagesallpeoplethataredirectlyaffectedbythechangeprocess.

SCADAFacilityclassificationstandardsWehaveaclassificationsystemforfacilitiesthathashelpedcompaniesdetermineastandardequipmentloadbasedofffluidproduction.Thisprocesscreatesacostsavingstocustomersbydeterminethepriorityofcalloutsandtheminimumequipmenttobeinstalledwhilekeepingthefacilityinasafecondition.

IndustrialIRM(InformationRiskManagement)WehavedevelopedstandardsandguidelinesaroundISO31000:2009forindustrialsystemprotection.ThisalsoprovidestrainingtoemployeesthatcoverswhyitisimportanttohaveIRMalongwithphysicalsecuritystandards.Thirdpartyauditsarealsoconductedtotestthestrengthandvulnerabilityofthesystem.
