CONSIGNES PRIORITAIRES

1. Avant dinstaller et dutiliser cet appareil, il estindispensable, pour sa scurit demploi et sonefficacit, de prendre connaissance de la prsente noticeet de se conformer ses prescriptions. Un exemplairede cette notice doit tre conserv disposition de toutoprateur. Des exemplaires supplmentaires peuvent trefournis sur demande.

2. Ne pas utiliser cet appareil si lune des plaques fixessur lappareil, ou si lune des inscriptions y figurant, commeindiqu la fin du prsent manuel, nest plus prsenteou lisible. Des plaques identiques peuvent tre fourniessur demande qui doivent tre fixes avant de continuerlutilisation de lappareil.

Tractel exclut touteresponsabilit pour le cas o lappareil Tractel serait utilisen combinaison avec dautres appareils de levagedautre origine.

18. Pendant les oprations de levage, en monte et endescente, lutilisateur doit rester constamment en vuede la charge.

19. Ne jamais stationner ou circuler sous la charge.Signaliser et interdire laccs la zone situe sous lacharge.

20. Le contrle permanent du bon tat apparent de lappareilet son bon entretien font partie des mesures ncessaires sa scurit demploi. Lappareil doit tre vrifipriodiquement par un rparateur agr Tractel commeindiqu dans cette notice.

21. Le bon tat du cble est une condition essentielle descurit et de bon fonctionnement de lappareil. Lecontrle du bon tat du cble doit tre effectu chaqueutilisation comme indiqu au chapitre cble . Tout cbleprsentant des signes de dtrioration doit tre mis aurebut dfinitivement.

22. Quand lappareil nest pas utilis, il doit tre plac horsdatteinte de personnes non autorises lutiliser.

23. Lutilisateur doit sassurer en cours dutilisation que lecble est constamment tendu par la charge, etparticulirement que celle-ci nest pas neutralisetemporairement par un obstacle en descente, ce qui

peut entraner un risque de rupture du cble lorsque lacharge se libre de son obstacle.

24. En cas darrt dfinitif dutilisation, mettre lappareil aurebut dans des conditions interdisant son utilisation.Respecter la rglementation sur la protection delenvironnement.

IMPORTANT : Pour tout usage professionnel,spcialement si vous devez confier cet appareil unpersonnel salari ou assimil, conformez vous larglementation du travail applicable au montage, lamaintenance et lutilisation de ce matriel, notamment

1. PRESENTATION1.1 Principe de fonctionnementLe minifor est un treuil palan lectrique portable,de levage et de traction, cble passant,fonctionnant par un systme d'entranement auto-serreur permettant une course illimite du cble delevage.

Le systme d'entranement est constitu par unepoulie dont la gorge un profil spcial, et danslaquelle le cble est serr sous l'effet de la chargepar deux galets articuls.Un ressort de pr-serrage, agissant sur ces galets,assure hors charge l'adhrence du cble sur lapoulie. Au-del de l'action du ressort de pr-serrage,le serrage du cble sur la poulie d'entranementest proportionnel la charge.Cette conception technique assure une grandescurit condition de respecter les instructions

donnes dans la prsente notice au chapitreAmarrage - schmas de montage.L'appareil minifor doit tre utilis exclusivementavec le cble de levage spcial minifor dediamtre indiqu (voir spcifications) pour assurerpleinement la scurit et l'efficacit de son emploi.TRACTEL dcline toute responsabilit pour lesconsquences d'un emploi de l'appareil avec uncble autre que le cble minifor.Chaque appareil minifor fait l'objet d'un essai,avant expdition, 110 % de la charge maximale

d'utilisation.1.2 Composition d'une livraison standard

MINIFORChaque minifor suivant modle est livr dans uncarton ou coffret mtallique qui contient :1. L'appareil avec sa bote boutons, quip de sa

poigne de portage, de son crochet de scuritet d'une rallonge d'alimentation avec prisemle/femelle.

2. Un sachet plastique contenant : une bute de fin de course basse sur ressort, une cl ALLEN de 3 pour la fixation des butes

de fin de course sur le cble.3. Un sachet plastique contenant :

la prsente notice d'instructions, la dclaration CE de conformit,

Le cas chant, les documents concernant laradio commande.4. Suivant option de commande, le cble de levage

longueur mont sur bobine, quip d'un crochetde scurit, d'une bute de fin de course hautmonte sur ressort.

1.3 Description et marquageLa figure 1 montre un minifor standard dans saposition d'utilisation la plus courante et en ordre demarche, suspendu une pince d'accrochage sur

poutre. L'appareil standard est livr avec un cblelectrique de commande de 2,50 m avec bote boutons pendante (Fig. 2) et un cble lectriqued'alimentation de 0,50 m. Il peut tre livr surdemande avec des longueurs diffrentes de cblede commande et d'alimentation. Chaque appareil porteun numro de srie situ sur le dessus du carter del'appareil. Ce numro est rappeler dans sonintgralit (lettre comprise) pour toute demande depices de rechange ou de rparations.Assurez-vous constamment que toutes les

tiquettes sont en place et lisibles.La longueur du cble de levage, est marquesur le manchon de l'extrmit passe dans lecrochet. Il convient de vrifier, au besoin, cettelongueur car le cble peut avoir t raccourcipostrieurement sa livraison. Tous les miniforsont livrs avec une bote boutons (Fig. 2) doubleisolation IP 65 3 commandes : Monte, Descenteet Arrt d'urgence.

Les pices et accessoires suivants peuvent treapprovisionns et monts par l'utilisateur : Bute de fin de course haute et bute de fin de

course basse (interchangeables). Cble de levage quip avec crochet il. Fusible. Prise d'alimentation (lectricien).

4. AMARRAGE - SCHEMA DE MONTAGEVrifier que le point fixe d'amarrage prsente unersistance suffisante pour l'effort appliquer.

Si la fixation de l'appareil doit se faire un endroitdangereux pour l'oprateur, les prcautions descurit prvues par la rglementation du travaildoivent tre prises pour exclure tout risque nonmatris dans cette opration. Il peut tre prfrabledans ce cas de mettre en place le cble de levagedans l'appareil avant l'opration d'amarrage (voirchapitre 5).L'appareil peut tre utilis en suspension ou enappui sur sa semelle.

4.1 Fixation de l'appareil en suspensionC'est le montage le plus simple et le plus courant.L'amarrage de l'appareil doit se faire exclusivementpar son crochet (sauf 4.2 ci-dessous) et jamais parsa poigne. Il est exclu d'amarrer le crochet ducble au point fixe pour faire travailler l'appareil endplacement sur le cble (Fig. 3 montageobligatoire, Fig. 4 montage interdit).Le crochet de l'appareil doit tre plac dans l'organedu point de fixation, de sorte que cet organe porte fond de crochet. Le clapet de scurit du crochet

doit se fermer compltement. Si une gne apparatdans l'articulation du crochet d'appareil avec l'organede fixation, il est indispensable d'interposer unelingue de capacit approprie.

4.2 Fixation de l'appareil en appui sur sa baseCe type d'installation ncessite des prcautionsparticulires :1. La surface d'appui sur laquelle est pos l'appareil

doit tre plane et horizontale.2. Cette surface doit comporter, pour le passage des

deux brins de cble, un orifice dont laconfiguration et les dimensions sont indiquessur la figure 24 montrant la face d'appui del'appareil et son emplacement sur l'orifice.

3. L'appareil doit tre positionn de faon que le cblede levage sous charge ne frotte pas contre lesparois de l'orifice, et de faon que les butes defin de course fixes sur le cble puissent venirau contact des leviers de fin de course del'appareil.

4. L'appareil doit-tre cal de faon ne subir

aucun dplacement de sa face d'appui.5. La plate-forme sur laquelle l'appareil est placen appui doit avoir la stabilit et la rsistancencessaires la scurit de l'opration.

6. La charge doit tre en suspension libre (Fig. 5)ou relie l'appareil par l'intermdiaire d'une pouliede renvoi situe imprativement et strictement l'aplomb de l'appareil (Fig. 6).

IMPORTANT : Avec ce montage, ne jamais lever lacharge sans l'avoir place au pralable l'aplombde l'appareil, sauf cas de la poulie de renvoi.

4.3 Amarrage de la chargeL'amarrage de la charge doit se faire obligatoirementpar le crochet du cble de levage et jamais sur lecrochet de l'appareil.L'amarrage de la charge doit se faire par une linguede capacit, de dimensions et de type appropris l'objet manutentionner. Il est interdit d'utiliser lecble de l'appareil comme lingue en le passant autourd'un objet pour le reprendre sur son crochet (Fig. 7lingage correct et fig. 8 lingage interdit).

4.4 Schmas de montage4.4.1 Appareil en suspension, charge

suspendue directementC'est le cas le plus simple (Fig. 7). La principaleprcaution est d'viter la prsence de tout obstaclecontre lequel la charge ou le cble de levage pourraitporter latralement ou contre lequel la chargepourrait buter.

4.4.2 Appareil en suspension, levage obliquedirect

Ce cas ncessite la prsence d'un plan inclinstable sur lequel la charge est hisse et maintenue(Fig. 9).

4.4.3 Appareil en suspension, traction oulevage indirect

Ce cas ncessite une poulie de renvoi amarre un point fixe (Fig. 11). Voir galement Chap. 5.5.

4.4.4 Appareil amarr horizontalement pourtraction directe

Il est indispensable pour la scurit de

l'opration, qu' aucun moment, l'appareil nile cble puisse porter latralement sur unobjet quelconque, lorsqu'ils sont sous tension(Fig. 10).

Assurez-vous du parfait alignement de l'appareilsur le cble par un amarrage de l'appareil librementarticul, par exemple par une lingue.Ne jamais fixer l'appareil rigidement sur unestructure d'amarrage. Assurer la libert demouvement des diffrents brins du cble en lesprservant de tout frottement.

N.B. Si une poulie de renvoi est interpose pour hisserla charge sur un plan inclin, la charge tant motrice,on est dans un cas de levage (cas 4.4.3).

4.4.5 Appareil amarr au niveau du solLevage par poulie de renvoi. Mmesrecommandations que pour le cas 4.4.4. Larsistance de la poulie et celle de son accrochagedoivent tre calcules pour un effort double de lacharge (Fig. 12). Voir galement Chap. 5.5.

4.4.6 Appareil en appui, charge suspendue

librementSuivre strictement les instructions du chapitre 4.2.et chapitre 5.5. Prendre un soin particulier pourviter tout balancement de la charge. Se conformer la Fig. 5.

4.4.7 Appareil en appui, charge non suspenduelibrement

Ce cas d'utilisation ncessite le recours une pouliede renvoi fixe l'aplomb de l'appareil (Fig. 6). Voirchapitre 4.2 et chapitre 5.5.

4.4.8 MouflageToutes les recommandations ci-dessus s'appliquentparticulirement en cas de mouflage. Dans ce cas,la mise en tension doit se faire avec une attentionparticulire (voir chapitre 11).

N.B. : En cas d'utilisation de poulies de renvoi,l'utilisateur prendra soin de positionner les butesde fin de course comme indiqu au chapitre 5.4(fig. 13).

5. MISE EN SERVICE

5.1 Vrifications prliminaires Charge ou effort, non suprieur la charge

maximale d'utilisation de l'appareil. Les poulies de renvoi augmentent l'effort produire

pour lever une charge dans des proportions nonngligeables.

Rsistance du point fixe suffisante pour appliqueren toute scurit un effort gal la chargemaximale d'utilisation (ou au double de cettecharge dans le cas 4.4.5).

Amarrage correct. Cble de levage en bon tat.

Longueur du cble de levage suffisante pour le trajetde la charge. Compter un supplment d'au moins1,50 m pour le passage dans l'appareil et unelongueur de brin mou apparent suffisante.

Longueur du cble lectrique de commandesuffisante pour relier l'appareil l'emplacement prvude l'oprateur dans des conditions satisfaisantes

de scurit.5.2 Recommandations d'ordre lectrique1) Avant chaque mise en service sur un nouveau

branchement, se reporter la plaque d'iden-tification du moteur.Se renseigner sur les caractristiques du courantfourni : monophas ou triphas, tension,amprage disponible. Vrifier que le courantfourni est compatible avec les caractristiquesindiques sur la plaque d'identification du moteur.L'intensit disponible doit tre gale ou suprieure celle indique sur la plaque du moteur.

2) En cas d'utilisation d'une rallonge d'alimentation,choisir une rallonge ayant les caractristiquessuivantes :- monophas 230 V. : 3 fils (1 phase, 1 neutre,

1 terre) de section 2,5 mm2.- triphas 400 V. : 4 fils (3 phases, 1 terre) de

section 2,5 mm2.Ces caractristiques sont valables jusqu' 50 m delongueur de cble lectrique. Au-del, consulter le

rseau TRACTEL.3) La connexion de la rallonge lectrique doit trerenforce par un accessoire ("chaussette") vitantde faire supporter le poids de la rallonge auxprises de connexion.

4) Le changement de la prise livre sur le cblelectrique d'alimentation ncessite l'intervention d'untechnicien qualifi. Toute intervention sur le cblede la bote boutons doit tre rserve untechnicien qualifi. Aucune intervention sur lebotier lectrique de l'appareil (sauf changement

de fusible) ne doit tre fait en dehors d'unrparateur agr TRACTEL.

5) S'assurer que l'installation du chantier ou del'immeuble sur laquelle est raccord le miniforest quipe des dispositifs de scurit lectriquerglementaires tels que disjoncteur diffrentielet liaison la terre, protgeant l'oprateur, leminifor et son quipement.

6) Si le minifor est aliment partir d'un groupelectrogne, vrifier que celui-ci dlivre auminimum la tension et la puissance au dmarragerequises. (6 kVa pour minifor monophas 8kVa pour minifor triphas).

5.3 Cas des appareils moteur triphas (TR30S/ TR50)

Les appareils moteur triphas sont quips d'undtecteur de sens de phase qui interdit lefonctionnement en cas d'ordre invers. Si aprsraccordement invers le minifor TR30S/TR50triphas ne fonctionne pas, dconnecter la prise de

courant et l'aide d'un tournevis, tourner de 180l'empreinte situe l'intrieur de la prise mle pourrtablir le bon ordre des phases. (voir fig. 14).

5.4 Mise en place du cble de levage dansl'appareil

NOTA : Il est recommand de se munir de gantspour manipuler le cble.

Il est indispensable que le cble soit compltementdroul et dvrill sur toute sa longueur avant sonmontage dans l'appareil.

Graisser le cble de levage pour faciliter sonintroduction dans l'appareil.

Vrifier que la bute de fin de course haute estengage sur le cble de levage (ressort versl'appareil) du ct du crochet de cble.

Brancher le cble d'alimentation sur la prise decourant.

Introduire l'extrmit libre du cble de levage(pointe soude et arrondie) dans l'appareil parl'orifice d'engagement dont l'emplacement est

marqu par une flche sur le carter.N.B. : veillez ne jamais introduire le cble dansl'autre orifice, celui-ci est exclusivement rserv la sortie du cble. Ne jamais fixer une charge surle brin mou du cble.

Appuyer sur le bouton Monte de la bote boutons en poussant le cble de faon qu'ils'engage sur la poulie situe l'intrieur del'appareil. (Pour les appareils courant triphas,voir 5.3).

Lorsque le cble ressort de l'appareil, prolongerle mouvement de faon obtenir une longueur decble dpassant d'environ un mtre.

Enfiler sur l'extrmit libre du cble (1) la butede fin de course basse, de faon que l'extrmitdu ressort soit proche de l'appareil (2) et visser lavis situe sur la bague de bute (3) laide de lacl ALLEN (4). Il doit y avoir au moins un mtrede cble entre cette bague et l'extrmit ducble.

Vrifier que le dispositif de bute ne peut pasglisser sur le cble. (Fig. 15).

N.B. : On peut souhaiter limiter davantage la coursede la charge vers le bas ; dans ce cas on fera

dfiler la longueur de cble correspondante avantde fixer la bague de bute.

Fixer, de l'autre ct, la bague de la bute de finde course haute suivant la hauteur laquelle on veutventuellement limiter la course de la charge versle haut. Fixer et vrifier suivant la mme procdureque pour la bute de fin de course bas.

Vrifier le bon fonctionnement des leviers de finde course de l'appareil et des autres dispositifs descurit comme indiqu au chapitre 8.

La prsence d'une bute de fin de courseenviron un mtre avant l'extrmit libre du cblede levage et d'une autre bute de fin de coursedu ct du crochet de cble, toutes deuxsolidement et convenablement fixes, est uneexigence imprative de scurit.

5.5 Butes de fin de course et poulies

Si le montage de l'installation comporte une ouplusieurs poulies de renvoi, on aura soin de n'utiliserque des poulies de diamtre adquat. Dans cecas, les butes de fin de course haute (1) et basse(2) devront tre positionnes sur le cble de faonque ni la bute de fin de course haute, ni la chargene puissent venir au contact d'une poulie. La butede fin de course haute devra videmment tre fixeentre l'appareil et la poulie qui en est la plus prochesur le parcours du cble. (Voir Fig. 13).

IMPORTANT : Vrifier la compatibilit de la

rsistance des points d'ancrages et des pouliesavec les efforts qui lui sont appliqus.

5.6 Vrification sous chargeLa charge tant accroche, soulever celle-ci faible hauteur et vrifier le bon fonctionnement descommandes Monte et Descente, ainsi que dela commande Arrt d'urgence.Si ces fonctions oprent normalement, on peutalors procder aux manuvres. Sinon, retournerl'appareil un rparateur agr du rseau

TRACTEL (Voir galement Chap. 5.3)6. MANOEUVRELa manoeuvre de l'appareil se fait en appuyantsur l'une ou l'autre commande Monte ouDescente de la bote boutons (Fig. 2) ; celle-cidoit toujours tre tenue dans la position verticale oelle pend son cble de commande. Ne pas la placeren position renverse (c'est--dire entre de cblelectrique vers le bas), ce qui pourrait provoquer deserreurs de manoeuvre.

temps d'arrt d'environ 15 minutes tous lescinquante mtres de marche pour viter unchauffement excessif.Le moteur monophas 230V est protg contreles chauffements excessifs par une sondethermique insre dans le bobinage. Cette sondeinterdit le fonctionnement en interrompant le circuit

de commande tant que la temprature du bobinagen'est pas revenue une valeur acceptable.

N.B. : Un chauffement du carter jusqu' 80 estnormal.

Un bouton d'arrt d'urgence, rouge, permet d'arrterle mouvement en cas de mauvais fonctionnementdes boutons Monte ou Descente. (Voir chapitre8 : Dispositifs de scurit).La manuvre de monte ou descente doit treaccompagne des prcautions suivantes :

Eviter la charge de se balancer ou de tourner. Tenir tout obstacle l'cart du cble de levage oude la charge.

S'assurer que le brin mou est libre sur toute salongueur.

Ne pas laisser le brin charg prendre du mou sila charge n'est pas en appui stable sur un supportsuffisamment rsistant.

Eviter d'actionner la bote boutons parimpulsions succesives (pianotage).

IMPORTANT :

Il est indispensable de tenir le brin mou l'cartdu brin charg et, a fortiori, des deux brinschargs, dans le montage moufl, de faon quece brin mou ne s'emmle pas avec les autres brins.Pour les mmes raisons, il est indispensable detenir ce brin mou l'cart de tout obstaclepouvant le retenir, et d'viter qu'il s'emmle surlui-mme, ce qui pourrait avoir pour effetnotamment d'empcher la bute de fin decourse basse qui y est fixe, d'atteindre lesorganes d'arrt (leviers de fin de course) del'appareil. Un blocage du brin mou dans sonmouvement de monte (Descente de la charge)peut entraner la rupture du cble et la chute dela charge.Une dformation du cble peut galemententraner le blocage dans l'appareil ou aucontact avec l'appareil de la partie dforme.Quelle que soit la cause du blocage du cble dansson mouvement, arrter immdiatement lamanuvre sans insister. Voir chapitre 13.

Les butes de fin de course ne sont pas desorganes de manuvre mais des organes descurit. Elles ne doivent donc pas tre utilisesvolontairement mais servent uniquement

d'organes d'arrt en cas de dpassementinvolontaire de la course prvue.Ne jamais stationner ni travailler sous la charge.Au besoin, disposer au sol une barrire descurit autour de la zone sous la charge.

7. MISE HORS SERVICE - STOCKAGE

Ne dconnecter le crochet de cble de la chargeque lorsque celle-ci est en appui stable sur unsupport fixe et suffisamment solide.L'appareil peut rester poste condition que ce soit l'abri des intempries et dans un endroit sec.Dbrancher lectriquement l'appareil quand il n'estpas en cours d'emploi.Tenir l'appareil hors de l'intervention de personnesnon autorises l'employer.Pour son stockage, l'appareil peut tre conserv dansson coffret. Le cble doit tre retir de l'appareil (sauf

pour les enrouleur) et enroul sur sa bobine.L'appareil ne doit jamais tre pos sur sa baselorsque le cble est engag dans l'appareil, ce quiaurait pour effet de plier le cble et de le dtriorer.

8. DISPOSITIFS DE SECURITELes dispositifs de scurit prsents par lesappareils sont les suivants : Moteur frein manque de courant lectrique. Commande d'arrt d'urgence sur la bote

boutons - Couleur rouge (voir Fig. 2).

Verrouillage mcanique interdisant l'actionsimultane des commandes Monte et Descente. Commande en trs basse tension 48 V pour

appareils triphass. Leviers de fin de course haut et bas sur l'appareil,

cooprant avec les butes sur cble. Linguets de scurit (1) sur crochets (Fig. 16 et

17). Protection lectrique de la bote boutons :

classe 2. Fusible de protection de la commande, dans

coffret lectrique.L'arrt d'urgence est obtenu par pression sur le boutonrouge (Fig. 2). Pour permettre le redmarrage,aprs arrt d'urgence, il faut dsenclencher lebouton d'arrt d'urgence en le faisant tourner dansle sens des flches marques sur celui-ci, aprs s'treassur que les conditions d'urgence ont disparu.

9. CABLE DE LEVAGEA l'une de ses extrmits, le cble du miniforcomporte un crochet de scurit mont sur uneboucle du cble quipe d'une cosse et sertie dansun manchon mtallique (voir Fig.17). L'autreextrmit est soude et meule. Elle doit tremaintenue soude, arrondie et sans asprit (voirFig. 18).

Il est essentiel, pour garantir la scurit d'emploi desappareils minifor, de les utiliser exclusivement avecdu cble minifor conu spcialement pour cesappareils, de diamtre 6,5 mm.L'utilisation de cble dtrior ou non adapt l'appareil constitue le risque majeur d'accidentet de panne. Il est donc ncessaire de surveillerconstamment le bon tat du cble et d'liminerimmdiatement tout cble prsentant des signes dedtrioration tels que dformation, pliure ou rupturede fils (Fig. 19). Tout cble dont l'usure a rduit lediamtre nominal de 10 % ou qui comporte plus de10 fils coups sur 200 mm de longueur doit trelimin. Norme ISO 4309 (Mesurer comme indiqu(Fig. 20).Ne pas exposer le cble une tempraturesuprieure 100C ni l'agression d'agentsmcaniques ou chimiques.Stocker le cble enroul sur une bobine l'abri de

l'humidit aprs l'avoir convenablement nettoy etgraiss sur toute sa longueur. Ne pas utiliser degraisse ou huile contenant du bisulphure demolybdne ou des additifs graphits.

10. ENTRETIENL'entretien de l'appareil consiste en surveiller lebon tat, le nettoyer, le faire contrlerpriodiquement (au moins une fois par an) par unrparateur agr TRACTEL. Aucun graissage nilubrification de l'appareil n'est effectuer par

l'utilisateur. (Pour l'entretien du cble de levagevoir chapitre 9). Veiller ce que la vis de fixationdu crochet de suspension de l'appareil et l'crou freinde fixation de la poigne soient toujours serrsefficacement. Changer si ncessaire.Toute dtrioration apparente de l'appareil et deson quipement, notamment de ses crochets,cble de levage et conducteurs lectriques doitfaire l'objet d'une remise en tat avant dereprendre l'utilisation.

IMPORTANT : L'ouverture de l'appareil, sauf

pour changer le fusible dans le botierlectrique, ne doit tre opre que par unrparateur agr du rseau TRACTEL.

11. MINIFOR MOUFLE (fig. 25.c)11.1. Description

Un kit de mouflage minifor peut tre mont surtous les modles minifor. Ce montage permet dedoubler la capacit (charge maximale d'utilisation)de l'appareil (sauf modle TR 50 ). En contrepartie,la vitesse est diminue de moiti.

Le minifor ne doit pas tre moufl autrementqu'avec le kit de mouflage minifor. Aucun systmecomplmentaire ne doit tre ajout.

Le kit de mouflage minifor comporte (Fig. 21) : Un dispositif d'accrochage du brin porteur, Une poulie de mouflage quipe d'un ressort de

fin de course haute, Une notice de montage.Ce kit doit tre utilis que pour le mouflaged'un minifor

MontageL'utilisateur doit noter qu'en cas de mouflage, lalongueur ncessaire de cble est au moins ledouble de la hauteur de levage plus environ 2 m dontun mtre de brin mou apparent.Le ressort de fin de course mont sur la poulie demouflage est prvu pour remplacer la bute de finde course haute livre avec le cble. Toutefois, sion veut limiter la course vers le haut, il restepossible d'ajouter la bute de fin de course haute

standard, placer entre la poulie et l'entre decble de l'appareil marque par une flche.

IMPORTANT : En cas de mouflage, doubler lacharge maximale d'utilisation prendre encompte pour les calculs de scurit.

NOTA : Prendre soin de monter la poulie de mouflagede faon que son ressort de fin de course soit situsur le cble entre la poulie et l'entre de cble del'appareil. Voir notice d'instructions du kit de mouflage.La figure 25 montre les diffrentes configurations duminifor.

NOTA : Compte tenu des risques d'emmlement desbrins du cble de levage, il est dconseill d'utiliserle minifor autrement que pour le levage verticaldirect (Fig. 5) lorsqu'il est moufl.

11.3. Manuvre

Lors de la manuvre avec le systme de mouflage,l'oprateur veillera spcialement ce que lacharge ne tourne pas, afin d'viter d'emmler lestrois brins du cble (deux brins chargs + brin

mou). Arrter immdiatement le mouvement de lacharge si le brin mou vient s'emmler avec lesautres brins et le dgager avant de reprendre lemouvement.Pour plus de dtails sur l'emploi du miniformoufl, se reporter la notice d'instructions livreavec le kit de mouflage minifor.

12. MINIFOR SPECIAUX12.1 Minifor TR10/TR30 avec enrouleur intgrLes modles TR10/TR30 peuvent tre livrs en

option quips d'un enrouleur de cble rappel parressort, garni de son cble quip en deux longueurssuivant demande : 20, 27 ou 40 m. (fig 25.d)

Cet quipement permet de supprimer la prsenced'un brin mou de longueur variable.L'ensemble est livr avec les deux butes de fin decourse haute et basse montes sur le cble. Lecrochet du cble est muni d'un lest. Ce lest estindispensable et ne doit pas tre enlev.L'enrouleur doit tre mont en usines.

L'utilisateur peut retourner Tractel un appareilprcdemment acquis pour y faire monter cetenrouleur.L'appareil doit tre mis en place et utilis de faon ce que son enrouleur puisse tourner librement sansfrotter contre aucun obstable extrieur.IMPORTANT : Le minifor quip d'unenrouleur ne doit pas tre utilis en appui surune plate forme (risque de frottement).

12.2 Minifor tlcommande radio HF(fig. 25.b)

Tous les modles de minifor peuvent tre livrsen option quips d'un dispositif de tlcommandecompos d'un metteur de commande portatif(Fig. 22.a) et d'un rcepteur situ sur l'appareil(Fig. 22.b). L'metteur fonctionne sur batterie. Unchargeur (alimentation de 100 250 Vca sortie12 Vcc 150 mA) est fourni. Ce dispositif permet decommander distance la monte, la descente etl'arrt de l'appareil, sans cble de commande. Ilfonctionne par transmission d'onde radio HF code.

Le codage de chaque appareil est modifiable parl'utilisateur, principalement pour le casd'utilisationde plusieurs appareils tlcommande sur lemme site. L'metteur et le rcepteur contiennentchacun un codeur 8 touches.Les touches de l'metteur et du rcepteur doiventtre en position de codage identique. Dvisser lescouvercles de l'metteur et du rcepteur pouratteindre les codeurs. Se rfrer aux documents duconstructeur de la radiocommande, livrs avecl'appareil. S'assurer avant emploi que l'antenneest en place sur l'appareil (Fig. 23).Il est fortement recommand de manuvrer leminifor radiocommand en restant toujoursen vue de la charge. A dfaut, des mesuresadquates doivent exclure les risques nonmatriss qui pourraient s'ensuivre.N.B. : le botier metteur doit tre manipul etconserv avec soin car il peut se dtriorer par choc.NOTA : En l'absence de modification du codage,toute manipulation de l'metteur entranera la mise

en mouvement identique et quasi simultane de tousles appareils radiocommande se trouvant sur lemme site porte de commande.

La porte de l'metteur est de 30 mtres environ.NOTA : Lors de la manoeuvre, il faut tenir compted'un lger temps de raction du systme. Lamanoeuvre de plusieurs appareils partir d'unmme metteur ne permet donc pas unesynchronisation rigoureuse.Ce dispositif de tlcommande est agr en France

par l'autorit de rgulation des tlcommunications(ART) sans obligation de licence individuelle.Aucune modification ne doit tre apporte cedispositif de tlcommande.L'utilisation du minifor radiocommande horsde France est subordonne une vrification decompatibilit avec la rglementation locale desondes radio.Les minifor radiocommands ne comportent pasde bote boutons relie par cble de commande.(Option sur demande).

13. CONTRE-INDICATIONS D'EMPLOIL'utilisation des appareils minifor conformmentaux indications de la prsente notice donne toutegarantie de scurit. Il apparat toutefois utile de mettrel'oprateur en garde contre les manipulationsfautives suivantes :

1. PRESENTATION1.1 Theory of operationThe minifor is a portable electric hoist with feed-through wire rope for lifting and pulling operations.The hoist implements a self-clamping drive systemproviding unlimited lifting wire rope travel.The drive system is formed by a pulley withspecially-shaped groove in which the wire rope isclamped under the effect of the load by two swivelrollers.A pre-clamping spring which acts on the rollersmaintains the wire rope on the pulley when no loadis attached to the system. Beyond the action ofthe pre-clamping spring, the clamping action of thewire rope on the drive pulley is proportional to theload.The technical design of the system ensures a high

degree of safety provided the instructions given inthis manual in the section entitled Anchoring thehoist Installation diagrams are strictly observed.The minifor hoist must only be used with thespecific minifor lifting wire rope with diameterindicated (see specifications) to fully ensure safe,efficient use.TRACTEL declines any responsibility for theconsequences resulting from use of the hoist witha wire rope other than the minifor wire rope.

1.3 Description and markingsFigure 1 shows a standard minifor in its most

frequently used operating position, ready foroperation, suspended on a clamp secured to abeam. The standard hoist is supplied with a 2.5melectric control cable with control box (Fig. 2) anda 0.50 m electrical power supply cable. On request,the unit can be supplied with different control andpower supply cable lengths. Each unit carries a serialnumber on the top of the casing. The completenumber (including letter) must be given wheneverrequesting spare parts or repairs.Regularly check that all the labels are in place and

can be easily read.The length of the lifting wire rope is marked on theend sleeve in the hook. If necessary, check thewire rope length as it is possible that the wire ropemay have been shortened since the unit wasdelivered. All the minifor hoists are supplied witha control box (Fig. 2), with double insulation IP 65and 3 controls : Up, Down and Emergency stop.

3. ACCESSORIES AND SPARE PARTSThe following parts and accessories can be supplied

and installed by the user : High and low limit stops (interchangeable). Lifting wire rope equipped with eye hook. Fuse. Power supply connector (electrician).

4. ANCHORING THE HOIST INSTALLATION DIAGRAM

Check that the fixed attachment point is sufficientlystrong for the force to be applied.

If the hoist is to be mounted in a location which isdangerous for the operator, the safety precautionsrequired by the applicable work regulations must betaken to eliminate any safety hazards during theoperation. In this case, it may be preferable toinstall the lifting wire rope in the hoist before startingthe fastening operation (see section 5).

The hoist can be used suspended or bearing on itsbase.

4.1 Anchoring the hoist in the suspendedposition

This is the easiest and most commonly usedinstallation method. The unit must only be securedby its hook (except 4.2 below) and never by itshandle. It is prohibited to secure the wire rope hookto the fixed point and to operate the hoist as itmoves along the wire rope (Fig. 3: mandatoryinstallation, Fig. 4: prohibited installation).

The hoist hook must be placed in the fixed pointfastening device so that the fastening device isfully engaged on the hook. The safety flap on the

hook must close completely. If any interferenceappears in the swivel part of the hoist hook with thefastening component, a sling of appropriate capacityshould be used.

4.2 Anchoring the hoist bearing on its baseThis type of installation requires special precau-tions :

1. The bearing surface on which the hoist is placedmust be flat and horizontal.

2. This surface must have a hole for passage of the

two wire rope strands. The configuration anddimensions of the hole are given in figure 24showing the bearing face of the hoist and itsposition on the hole.

3. The hoist must be positioned so that the liftingwire rope with load does not rub against the sideof the hole, and in such a way that the fixed limitstops on the wire rope are able to come intocontact with the limit levers on the hoist.

4. The hoist must be wedged so that it does not moveon its bearing face.

5. The platform on which the hoist is placed musthave the required stability and strength to ensuresafe operation.

6. The load must be freely suspended (Fig. 5) orconnected to the unit by means of an idler pulleymandatorily and strictly located directly below theunit (Fig. 6).

IMPORTANT : With this installation, never lift aload until it has been placed directly beneath the hoist,except when an idler pulley is used.

4.3 Securing the loadThe load must be secured using the hook on thelifting wire rope and never the hook on the hoist.

The load must be secured using a sling with acapacity, size and type appropriate to the object tobe handled. The hoist wire rope must never beused as a sling, running it around an object andfastened with its hook (Fig. 7: correct slinging, Fig.8: prohibited slinging).

4.4 Installation diagrams

4.4.1 Hoist suspended, load suspendeddirectly

This is the most simple configuration (Fig. 7). Themain precaution to be taken is to avoid any obstacleagainst which the load or lifting wire rope couldbear laterally or butt against.

4.4.2 Hoist suspended, direct slanted liftingThis configuration requires a stable slanted planeon which the load is pulled and maintained (Fig. 9).

4.4.3 Hoist suspended, indirect pulling or

liftingThis configuration requires an idler pulley securedto a fixed point (Fig. 11). Also see section 5.5.

4.4.4 Hoist secured horizontally for directpulling

To ensure safe use of the unit, neither the hoistor wire rope should touch any object whentensioned (Fig. 10) at any time.

Check that you have perfectly aligned the unit onthe wire rope by anchoring the hoist so that it can

swivel freely, for example using a sling.Never secure the hoist rigidly on a structure.Ensure that the wire rope strands move freely anddo not rub against anything.

NOTE : If an idler pulley is interposed to hoist theload on a slanted plane, due to the driving actionof the load, apply the lifting configuration describedin section 4.4.3.

4.4.5 Hoist secured on floorLifting using idler pulley. Same recommendationsas for case described in 4.4.4. The strength of thepulley and its attachment must be calculated for adouble load force (Fig. 12). Also see section 5.5.

4.4.6 Hoist bearing against surface, loadfreely suspended

Strictly follow the instructions given in section 4.2.and 5.5. Be especially careful to avoid any swingingof the load. Proceed as shown in Fig. 5.

4.4.7 Hoist bearing against surface, load notfreely suspended

This configuration requires use of an idler pulleysecured directly in line with the hoist (Fig. 6). Seesections 4.2 and 5.5.

4.4.8 TackleAll the above recommendations apply, especiallywhen tackle is used. In this case, special care mustbe taken when tensioning (see section 11).

Note: If idler pulleys are used, be careful to positionthe limit stops as described in section 5.4 (Fig. 13).

5. SETTING UP5.1 Preliminary checks Ensure that the load or force does not exceed the

maximum utilization load specified for the hoist. Remember that the use of idler pulleys will

significantly increase the force to be produced tolift a load.

Ensure that the strength of the fixed point issufficient to safely apply a force equal to themaximum utilization load (or twice this load in the

configuration described in 4.4.5). Ensure the hoist is correctly secured. Ensure the lifting wire rope is in good condition. Ensure the length of the lifting wire rope is

sufficient for the distance to be covered by the load.Provide an additional 1.50m for passage throughthe hoist and a sufficient length of loose strand.

Ensure the length of the electrical control cable issufficient to connect the device at the locationdefined by the operator under safe workingconditions.

5.2 Electrical recommendations1) Before using the hoist with a new connection, refer

to the nameplate on the motor.

Check the characteristics of the power supply,single phase or three-phase, voltage, availableamperage. Check that the current supplied iscompatible with the characteristics on the motornameplate. The available current must be equalor greater than the current indicated on thenameplate.

2) If a power supply extension is used, ensure thepotential has the following characteristics :- single phase 230 V. : 3 wires (1 phase,

1 neutral, 1 ground) with section of 2.5 mm2.- three-phase 400 V. : 4 wires (3 phases,

1 ground) with section of 2.5 mm2.

These characteristics are valid for up to 50 m ofelectrical cable. For greater lengths, contact yourTRACTEL dealer.

3) The electrical extension connection must be

reinforced by an accessory ( sock ) towithstand the weight of the extension at theconnector.

4) If the connector supplied with the electrical powersupply cable is to be changed, this interventionmust only be performed by a qualified technician.Any intervention on the control box cable mustalso only be performed by a qualified technician.No intervention should be performed on theelectrical unit of the hoist (except for changinga fuse), by anyone other than a TRACTEL-approved repair agent.

5) Check that the worksite or building installation onwhich the minifor is to be connected isequipped with the regulatory electrical safetydevices such as a differential circuit-breaker anda ground connection to protect the operator, theminifor and the equipment.

6) If the minifor is supplied from an electric powergenerator, check that it provides (at minimum),the required startup voltage and power. (6 kVa

for single-phase minifor, 8 kVa for miniforthree-phase minifor).

5.3 Hoists with three-phase motor (TR30S /TR50)

The hoists equipped with a three-phase motor havea phase direction detector inhibiting operationshould the phase order be inverted. If following aninverted connection, the three-phase miniforTR30S/TR50 does not operate, disconnect thepower connector and, using a screwdriver, turn the

imprint in the male connector by 180 to re-establishthe correct phase order (see Fig. 14).

5.4 Installing the lifting wire rope in the unitNOTE : Gloves should be worn when handling thewire rope. The wire rope must be fully unwound and

untwisted over its entire length before you beginto install it in the hoist.

Lubricate the lifting wire rope to facilitate insertion

in the hoist. Check that the high limit stop is engaged on thelifting wire rope (spring toward unit) on the wire ropehook side.

Connect the power wire rope to the power outlet.Insert the free end of the lifting wire rope

(welded, rounded tip) in the unit through theengagement hole marked by an arrow on thecasing.

NOTE : Never insert the wire rope in the otherhole ; this hole is only used for exit of the wire

rope. Never secure a load to the loose end of thewire rope.

Press the up button on the control box whilepushing the wire rope so that it engages on the pulleyin the unit. (see three-phase units, see 5.3).

When the wire rope comes out of the unit, continuethe movement to obtain a length of wire rope ofaround 1 meter coming out of the unit.

On the free end of the wire rope (1), slide on thelow limit stop so that the end of the spring is near

the unit (2) and tighten the screw on the stop ring(3) using an ALLEN wrench (4). There should beat least one meter of wire rope between this ringand the wire rope end.

Ensure that the stop cannot slide on the wirerope. (Fig. 15).

NOTE : You may wish to further limit the travel ofthe load downward ; in this case, unwind thecorresponding length of wire rope before securingthe limit ring.

On the other end, secure the high limit stop ring inaccordance with the height at which you may wantto limit the travel of the load in the upward direction.Secure the limit stop and check it by applying thesame procedure as for the low limit stop.

Check that the hoist limit levers operate correctly,as well as the other safety devices as describedin section 8.

There should be a limit stop at around 1 meterahead of the free end of the lifting wire ropeand another limit stop on the wire rope hook

slide, both limit stops securely andappropriately attached. This a mandatory safetyrequirement.

5.5 Limit stops and pulleys

If the installation comprises one or several returnpulleys, only pulleys of appropriate diameter shouldbe used. In this case, the high limit (1) and low limit(2) stops must be positioned on the wire rope so thatneither the high limit stop or the load be able to comeinto contact with a pulley. The high limit stop must

be mounted between the hoist and the pulley whichis nearest on the wire rope path (see Fig. 13).

IMPORTANT : Check that the anchor points andpulleys are of appropriate strength with respectto the forces which will be applied.

5.6 Check with load

With the load fastened, lift it slightly and check thatthe Up and Down controls operate correctly;also check operation of the Emergency stopcontrol.

Once you have ensured that these functionsoperate correctly, you can proceed with themaneuvers.

If the unit does not operate correctly, return it toa TRACTEL-approved repair agent (Also seesection 5.3).

6. OPERATING THE HOISTThe hoist is operated by pressing on either the Up or Down button on the control box

(Fig. 2). The control box must always be held in thevertical position, hanging on its control cable. Neverturn over the control box (control cable entrydownward) as this can result in control mistakes.

When the Up or Down button is released,the movement stops. When using the minifor tolift a load to a very high location, the unit should bestopped for around 15 minutes every fifty meters ofoperation to prevent the unit from overheating.

The 230V single phase motor is protected againstoverheating by a heat probe in the winding. This probeinhibits operation by opening the control circuit solong as the winding temperature has not returnedto an acceptable value.

NOTE : The casing may heat up to 80C. This isnormal.

A red emergency stop button is provided to stopmovement of the system in the event of incorrectoperation of the Up or Down buttons (seesection 8 : Safety devices).

The following precautions must be taken whenperforming up or down movements : The load should not swing or turn. Keep all obstacles away from the lifting wire rope

and load.

Check that the loose strand is free along its entirelength.

Do not allow the loaded strand to become looseif the load is not stably bearing on a sufficiently strongsupport.

Do not apply short successive actions on thepushbuttons.

IMPORTANT :The loose strand of the wire rope must be keptaway from the loaded strand, and moreparticularly, when two loaded strands are usedwith tackle so that the loose strand does notbecome tangled with the loaded strands.

For the same reasons, the loose wire ropestrand must be kept away from any obstaclewhich could catch it and you should be carefulto prevent the loose strand from becomingtangled in itself; this could result in preventingthe low limit stop attached to the loose strandfrom reaching the stopping mechanisms (limitstop levers) on the unit. Blockage of the loosestrand when moving up (load moving down)could result in rupture of the wire rope and theload falling.

Deformation of the wire rope can also cause thewire rope to block in the hoist or on contact ofthe deformed part with the hoist. Whatever thecause of the wire rope movement becoming

blocked, the hoisting operation should bestopped immediately. See section 13.

The limit stops are not control components but safetycomponents. These should never be usedintentionally in this respect and only serve asstopping mechanisms in the event of unintentionalovershoot of the planned travel distance.

Never park or work under the load. If necessary,set up a safety barrier around the area under theload.

7. SHUTDOWN STORAGEDo not disconnect the wire rope hook from the loaduntil the load is stable and firmly bearing on asufficiently strong support.

The hoist can remain in position provided it isproperly sheltered from weather and located in a drylocation. Disconnect the unit electrically when notin use.

Make sure the hoist cannot be used byunauthorized persons.

For storage, the unit can be stored in its case. Thewire rope must be removed from the unit (exceptthose models having a winder) and rolled on its reel.

The unit must never be set on its base when the wirerope is engaged in the unit as this would result inbending and damaging the wire rope.

8. SAFETY DEVICESThe hoist is provided with the following safetydevices :

A no-current brake motor. Emergency stop control on control box Redbutton (see Fig. 2).

Mechanical interlock, prohibiting simultaneousaction of Up and Down controls.

Very-low voltage control (48 V) for three-phase units. High and low limit levers on unit, working with stops

on wire rope. Safety latches (1) on hooks (Figs. 16 and 17) Electrical protection for control box: class 2. Control protection fuse, in electrical unit.

The emergency stop function is ensured bypressing the red button (Fig. 2). To restart the unitafter an emergency stop, the emergency stopbutton must be unlocked by turning it in the directionof the arrows marked on the button, after havingensured that all the emergency conditions havebeen eliminated.

9. LIFTING WIRE ROPEThe minifor wire rope is equipped with a safety

hook at one of its ends. The hook is mounted on awire rope loop equipped with a lug crimped in a metalsleeve (see Fig.17). The other end is welded andground. This end must be maintained welded,rounded and free of any irregularities (see Fig. 18).

To ensure safe use of the minifor hoists, they mustonly be used with the minifor wire rope speciallydesigned for the hoist (diameter of 6.5 mm).

Use of a damaged or inappropriate wire roperepresents a serious risk of accident and failure.

The condition of the wire rope should be monitoredregularly and the wire rope should be immediatelyeliminated if it shows any sign of damage such asdeformation, bending or broken wires (Fig. 19).Any wire rope whose nominal diameter has beenreduced by 10% or which has more than 10 brokenwires over a length of 200 mm should be eliminated.Standard ISO 4309 (Measure as shown in Fig. 20).

Do not expose the wire rope to temperaturesexceeding 100C or to any corrosive mechanical or

chemical agents.

Store the wire rope wound on its reel in a locationwhich is free of humidity after having carefullycleaned and lubricated the wire rope along its entirelength. Do not use grease or oil containingmolybdenum disulphide or graphite additives.

10. SERVICING

Servicing the unit consists in regularly checkingthat it is in good condition, in cleaning it and havingit periodically inspected (at least once a year) by aTRACTEL-approved repair agent. No greasing orlubrication of the unit is required by the user. (Formaintenance of the lifting wire rope, see section 9).Check that the hoist suspension hook mountingscrew and the handle locknut are always properlytightened. Replace these if necessary.

Any visible damage to the unit and itsequipment, in particular its hooks, lifting wirerope and electrical conductors should berepaired before resuming use of the unit.

IMPORTANT : Except when replacing a fuse inthe electrical box, the unit must only be openedby a TRACTEL-approved repair agent.

11. TACKLE MINIFOR (fig. 25.c)11.1. DescriptionA minifor tackle kit can be mounted on all theminifor models. This system will double the

capacity (maximum utilization load) of the unit(except for model TR50). On the other hand, thespeed is decreased by half.

The minifor must only be equipped using theminifor tackle kit. No additional system should beadded.The minifor tackle kit comprises (Fig. 21) : A fastening device for the carrier wire rope strand. A tackle pulley equipped with a high limit spring. A user manual.

This kit must only be used with a minifor.11.2. InstallationIf tackle is used, the necessary wire rope length isat least twice the lifting height plus around 2 mwhich includes one meter for the loose strandcoming out of the unit.

The limit spring mounted on the tackle pulleyreplaces the high limit stop supplied with the wirerope. To limit the travel upward, it is still possible toadd the standard high limit stop; this is placed

between the pulley and the wire rope entry on theunit marked by an arrow.

IMPORTANT : If tackle is used, double themaximum utilization load to be taken into

account for safety calculations.

NOTE : Be careful to install the tackle pulley so thatits limit spring is located on the cable between thepulley and the wire rope entry on the unit. See usermanual for tackle kit. Figure 25 shows the variousconfigurations.NOTE : Due to the risk of the wire rope strands

becoming entangled, the minifor should only beused for direct vertical lifting (Fig. 5) when tackle isused.11.3. Operation

When operating the hoist with the tackle system, theoperator must take special care to ensure that theload does not turn in order to keep the threestrands of the cable from becoming entangled (twoloaded strands + loose strand). Immediately stopthe load movement if the loose strand becomesentangled with the other strands and clear theloose strand before resuming the hoisting operation.For more details concerning use of the miniforequipped with tackle, refer to the user manualsupplied with the minifor tackle kit.

12. SPECIAL MINIFOR HOIST12.1 Minifor TR10/TR30 with integrated

winderThe TR10/TR30 models can be supplied optionallyequipped with a spring-type wire rope winder,

equipped with its cable with either of two lengths asmay be required : 20, 27 or 40m (fig 25.d).This equipment eliminates the need for a loose strand of variable length.The assembly is supplied with the two high and lowlimit stops on the cable. The cable hook is equippedwith a weight. The weight is indispensable andshould not be removed.The winder must be installed in factory. Miniforowners can return their unit to Tractel to have thewinder installed.

The unit must be set up and used so that its winderturns freely without rubbing against any exteriorobstacle.IMPORTANT : A minifor equipped with awinder must not be used bearing against aplatform (risk of rubbing)12.2 Minifor with radio remote control

(fig. 25.b)All the minifor models can be supplied optionallyequipped with a radio remote control system

consisting of a portable control transmitter (Fig.22.a) and a receiver on the hoist (Fig. 22.b). Thetransmitter operates on a battery. A charger(supplied with 100 to 250 Vca with 12 Vcc 150 mA

output) is supplied. The radio remote controlenables the user to control the up, down andemergency stop functions of the hoist with no needfor a control cable. It operates by transmission ofan encoded RF wave.

The code for each unit can be modified by the user,in particular when several remote-control hoistsare used at the same site. The transmitter andreceiver each contain an 8-key encoder.

The transmitter and receiver keys must have the samecode. The encoders are accessed by unscrewingthe covers on the transmitter and receiver. Refer tothe radio remote control manufacturers documentssupplied with the unit. Check that the antenna is onthe unit before using the system (Fig. 23).

The radio remote controlled minifor should only

be operated from a location where the loadmovements are clearly visible. When this is notpossible, appropriate measures should be takento eliminate any uncontrolled hazards whichcould arise.

NOTE : The transmitter unit must be used andhandled with care and is subject to damage fromshocks.

NOTE : Unless the codes are changed accordingly,any command generated from the transmitter will

cause the same and nearly simultaneousmovement of all the radio remote controlled hoistslocated on the same site within range of the radioremote control transmitter.

The transmitter has a range of around 30 meters.

NOTE : When performing an operation, keep in mindthat the system has a slight reaction time. For thisreason, it is not possible to control severalhoists from a single transmitter in a perfectly

synchronized way.This radio remote control system is approved inFrance by the Telecommunications Authorities(ART) and does not require any individual licensefor use. No changes should be made to the radioremote control system.

Use of the radio remote controlled minifor outsideFrance is subject to verification for compatibilitywith local regulations concerning radio waves.

The radio remote controlled minifors do not comewith a control box connected by a control cable(optional, on request).

13. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

When used in compliance with the informationgiven in this manual, the minifor hoists are entirelysafe. The hoist operator should however be carefulnever to use the minifor inappropriately asdescribed below:

IT IS PROHIBITED :

To use a minifor hoist, even occasionally, to liftpersons.

To use a minifor hoist for operations other thanthose for which it is designed or using installationdiagrams other than those described in thismanual.

To use a hoist beyond its maximum utilizationload specification.

To set up the hoist under conditions which may be

dangerous to the operator. To fasten a load to the hoist hook and fasten thecable hook to a fixed point.

To anchor the hoist by its handle.

To start up the unit without first checking that thelimit stops are correctly positioned.

To connect the unit to an electrical connectorwithout first ensuring that the power suppliedmatches the hoist specifications and that thepower circuit is equipped with the regulatory

electrical safety devices. To secure the hoist in a structure (except as

described in section 4.2) or to interfere with self-alignment on the cable.

To use tackle with the hoist other than the specificminifor tackle kit designed for the miniforhoist.

To pull a load along the floor using a unit which isnot properly aligned with the movement of theload.

To force operation if the wire rope is blocked in oragainst the hoist.

To operate a hoist using a three-phase powersupply with commands inverted with respect to thedirection indicated.

To apply a load on the loose strand of the liftingwire rope.

To use a minifor equipped with tackle bearingagainst a surface.

To use the lifting wire rope as a means of slinginga load.

To allow the load to swing under the hoist.

To stand or move around under the load.

14. MALFUNCTIONS

Check the diameter. Replace with acable of the correct diameter.

If necessary, re-weld the end of thecable using a blowtorch. Grind andround off.

Discard the deformed part. Cut, re-weld and grind the cut end.

Press the Down button. If thecable engages normally, press theUp button to release it and reversethe phases on the connector set upfor this purpose.

Should none of the above causesbe revealed, send the Minifor to aTRACTEL approved repair

service.

6- The cable slides or slipson the uphill

Overly thin cable. Cable wear more than 10% of

the nominal diameter.

Heavy wear to the tighteningsystem.

Check the diameter of the cable asshown in the instructions. If thecable should prove to be non-compliant or worn, discard it andreplace with a new one.

If the cable is normal, send theMinifor to a TRACTEL approved

repair service.

7- Load descent is nolonger slowed: the cableslides despite the motorbeing stopped

1. Alvorens dit toestel te installeren en te gebruiken, is hetvoor de gebruiksveiligheid en de doeltreffendheid ervannoodzakelijk kennis te nemen van deze handleiding en zichte houden aan de voorschriften. Een exemplaar van dezehandleiding moet ter beschikking van elke operator

bewaard worden. Bijkomende exemplaren kunnen opaanvraag geleverd worden.2. Gebruik dit toestel niet als n van de platen, bevestigd

op het toestel, of als n van de opschriften op dezeplaten niet langer aanwezig zijn of leesbaar zijn zoalsaangegeven aan het einde van deze handleiding. Identiekeplaten kunnen op aanvraag geleverd worden en moetenbevestigd worden voordat men het toestel gebruikt.

3. Bijgevolg, zorg ervoor dat alle personen aan wie u hetgebruik ervan toevertrouwt, de hantering ervan kent en instaat is de veiligheidsvoorschriften die deze hantering metzich meebrengen, kan aanvaarden. Deze handleiding moetter beschikking van de gebruiker gesteld worden.

6. Personen die dit toestel voor het eerst gebruiken moeten,zonder risico, alvorens een last aan te brengen en op eenlage hijshoogte, controleren of ze alleveiligheidsvoorwaarden en de doeltreffendheid van de

hantering ervan begrepen hebben.7. Het plaatsen en de inbedrijfstelling van dit toestel moetenuitgevoerd worden onder omstandigheden die deveiligheid van de installateur garandeert, conform de in dezecategorie van toepassing zijnde reglementering.

8. Controleer, voor elk gebruik van dit toestel, of het inogenschijnlijk goede staat verkeert, net als de accessoiresdie bij dit toestel gebruikt worden.

9. Tractel ontkent alle verantwoordelijkheid voor de werkingvan dit toestel in een montageconfiguratie die niet in dezehandleiding beschreven wordt.

10. Het toestel moet verticaal opgehangen worden, aan eenbevestigingspunt en aan een voldoende weerstand

biedende structuur om de maximum toegestane last,aangegeven in deze handleiding, te kunnen ondersteunen.Bij gebruik van meerdere toestellen, moet de weerstandvan de structuur functie zijn van het aantal toestellen,volgens hun maximale gebruikslast.

11. Elke wijziging, uitgevoerd buiten de controle van Tractel,of het verwijderen van een samenstellend onderdeel steltTractel vrij van alle verantwoordelijkheid.

12. Tractel garandeert de werking van het toestel uitsluitendals het uitgerust is met een oorspronkelijke Tractel-kabel,volgens de specificaties van deze handleiding.

13. De demontage van dit toestel die niet in deze handleidingbeschreven is, of elke herstelling, uitgevoerd buiten de

controle van Tractel, stellen Tractel vrij van elkeverantwoordelijkheid, in het bijzonder in het geval vanvervanging van onderdelen door onderdelen die vanandere herkomst zijn.
