ÜBER DAS UNTERNEHMEN

Das Unternehmen Bernd Unrecht lights entwirft, produziert und vertreibt seit seinem Gründungsjahr 2005 dekorative Wohnraum-

leuchten in zeitlos-klassischer und eleganter Formensprache. Besonderen Wert legen wir bei unseren kunstvollen Leuchtobjekten

auf hohe Lichtqualität, eigenständiges Design, Langlebigkeit und qualitativ hochwertige Verarbeitung. Alle Leuchten von Bernd

Unrecht lights erfüllen nicht nur ihre Funktion der Beleuchtung, sondern unterstützen und heben die Atmosphäre, schaffen

Wohnlichkeit und ein stilvolles Ambiente - getreu dem Credo von Bernd Unrecht “Licht ist Wärme und Sehnsucht”.

Since its inception in the year 2005, the company Bernd Unrecht lights has been designing, making and selling decorative

lighting fixtures for homes, with a timeless classical approach and elegance of form. In all our tastefully and artistically designed

lighting fixtures, we assign a special value to high quality of illumination, independent and original design, longevity and high

grade of workmanship. All the lights made by Bernd Unrecht lights not only do justice to their primary function of providing

illumination, but also augment and enhance the atmosphere, creating a unique sense of cosiness and a stylish ambience,

true to the credo of Bernd Unrecht “light means warmth and longing”.

INSPIRATION

Die Inspiration durch Geschichten, Menschen und Bilder unserer facettenreichen Lebenswelt macht den besonderen Charme

dieser Leuchtobjekte aus. Das Design übersetzt Stimmungsbilder und Emotionen in individuelle Formen, die Empfindungen

auslösen und auch Erinnerungen des Betrachters wachrufen. Gefühle und Gedanken werden so zu Form und Licht und rufen

erneut Gefühle und Gedanken wach.

Our lighting fixtures owe their special charm to the inspiration drawn from stories, people and images of our multifarious world.

The design renders mood-accents and emotions as highly individualistic forms, which spark off a certain something, even

cudgeling the viewer’s storehouse of memories. Thoughts and feelings thus translate into form and light, rekindling emotions

and thoughts afresh.

MOTIVATION

Was wäre die Welt ohne Licht?

Licht erhellt Räume, erzeugt Schatten, gibt den Objekten eine Kontur, schafft Stimmung und Atmosphäre, manchmal

bedrohlich, manchmal heiter und lebendig. Man stelle sich eine Großstadt, wie New York oder Hong Kong und ihr

farbenprächtiges, pulsierendes Lichtspiel in der Nacht vor. Oder im Gegensatz dazu eine kleine Kirche oder Grotte, die

nur mit der Flamme einer kleinen Kerze den Inbegriff von Stille und Kontemplation darstellt. Genau diese Vielseitigkeit,

Vitalität und Poesie des Lichts ist es, die sich in den Entwürfen von Bernd Unrecht lights widerspiegelt.

What would the world be without light?

Light illuminates spaces, creating shadows, giving objects a contour, creating mood and atmosphere, sometimes

threatening, sometimes cheerful and lively. Just imaging a huge city like New York or Hong Kong and its colourful,

pulsating play of light after sundown. Or, in contrast to this, a small church or grotto capturing the essence of tranquillity

and contemplation through the flame of a small candle. It is precisely this many-sided quality, vitality and poetry of

light that is captured in the designs created by Bernd Unrecht lights.

... so ist Flip-Led, ein Leuchtstab, der sich durch Magnete auf

einer Scheibe in jede Richtung lenken läßt. Licht, das Lust auf

Veränderung macht - einmal so, einmal anders.

/ Tilt, turn and adjust simply and playfully: that’s the

“Flip-Led”, a light stick on a disc which can be turned in

any direction through magnets. Light which brings a strong desire for change from one

day to the next.

“FARO” heißt übersetzt “Leuchtturm” und ist ein Symbol

des Aufbruchs und der Sehnsucht nach fernen Ländern. Der Leucht-

turm steht sowohl für Abschied als auch für Neu-anfang, sein Licht

schenkt Sicherheit und Geborgenheit.

/ “FARO” means a lighthouse, and is a symbol of

breaking free, and of yearning for far-off lands. The lighthouse

symbolizes both departure and farewells, as well as a new beginning, its light giving a

feeling of safety and security.

CHINTZ-Stoff / Chintz-fabric

Chintz ist ein speziell beschichteter Baumwollstoff, der zur Verstärkung mit einer dünnen weißen PVC-Folie kaschiert wird. / Chintz is a specially coated cotton which is laminated using white PVC foil for strength.

PLISSÉ-Stoff / Plissé-fabric

Dieser Plissé-Schirm erhält seine Struktur durch Wickeln eines schmalen Bandes in dicht aufeinander folgenden Abständen um einen festen Metallrahmen./ A narrow ribbon is folded closely and repeatedly over a firm wire frame, giving this Plissé shade its structure.

STRETCH-Stoff / stretch-fabric

STRETCH-Stoff besteht aus einem dehnfähigen Baumwollstoff, ähnlich einer Strumpfhose und ist deshalb besonders vielseitig einsetzbar. / Stretch-fabric is an elastic cotton - like elastane, and therefore it can be used for a great variety of lighting.

Einfaches Stoffband in unterschiedlichen Breiten, das eigentlich für die Fertigung von Plissée-Schirmen eingesetzt wird und bei diesem Design über dem Gestell kreuz und quer verspannt wird./ Simple ribbon in different sizes, which is mainly used for the fabrication of Plissé-shades, but in that purpose warped criss-cross over the metal frame of the shade.

Feiner PLISSÉ-Stoff / soft Plissé-fabric

Feiner Plissé-Stoff wird maschinell in Falten gepresst und bekommt dadurch seine feine Struktur. Zur Verstärkung des feinen Plissés dient eine dünne weiße PVC-Folie. / Soft Plissé-fabric is folded and mechanically pressed, which gives it its fine structure. The delicate Plissé is strengthened by a thin white PVC-foil.

Unsere Glasschirme werden nach traditioneller Art mundgeblasen und mit einer opal-weißen, satinierten Oberfläche versehen./ Our glass-shades are hand blown in the traditional way thus attaining an opal-white, satin surface.
