The International Clown Festival will host Clowns from across the world.

Clowns from USA, Canada, South Africa, Europe and Malaysia

will come together for the first time in India.

The Festival will include Clowning, Gags, Juggling, Stilt Walkers, Ballooning,

Face Painting, Acrobats and Mime through

Stage Shows, Demonstrations and Workshops.

Clowning has immense potential in India both as an art form as well as a

career. International clowns and circus artistes are today looking at

India as the next potential market for performances as well as

developing performing artistes. With the showbiz industry in Indiaonly getting better, along with childrens entertainment in various

media, the International Clownfest creates an opportunity to open

this new genre of entertainment to individuals of all ages and sizes

and give them a chance to make this delightful art form a truly

satisfying and lucrative career.

Why an International Clownfest in India?

Clowning across the world has evolved into a very highly refined

structured art form which requires physical skills, dramatic ability, a

firm understanding of human nature, imagination, wit and a strong

sense of the comic. It uses timing, surprise, anticipation, slapstick

and sometimes pathos, as elements in its humor. With Circus shows

like Cirque du Soleil creating a mark in the world, Clowns have

taken centre stage and today have entire shows all to themselves.

Festival ComponentsPublic Events & AppearancesThese will be free to the general public and will be held at malls in

Mumbai. The public events will showcase International Clowns

and professional artistes in balloon sculpting, face and body art,

juggling and acrobats.

MALL VENUES

Theater ShowsThe International Clowns will present exclusive stage shows. Each

show will be of 100 minutes and will be staged at St.Andrews

Auditorium in Mumbai.

OutreachAs part of our 'Caring Clown' mission to reach out and heal, the

clowns will visit hospitals, institutes and orphanages where they

will also conduct workshops in the art of laughter and

entertaining while at work.

Demonstration and classes will be conducted in various aspects

of clowning. These will include make up, stage acts, juggling,

magic, physical comedy, gags, school shows, and more.
