ENTWICKLUNG DES VERBRAUCHS IM 1. QUARTAL 1983 (Für den inländischen Markt verfügbare Energiemengen)

Im ersten Vierteljahr 1983 betrug die für den inländischen Markt verfügbare Elektrizität der Neunergemein— schaft (die Daten für Griechenland liegen noch nicht vor) 335,5 Milliarden kWh. Diese Zahl ist jedoch mit der für den entsprechenden Zeitraum 1982 nicht vergleichbar, da eine solche kurze Probe durch zu viele ver— gleichsstörende Faktoren beeinflußt wird. Eher bietet sich ein Vergleich mit dem Zeitraum 1979 — 1982 an (arithmetisches Mittel zum ersten Quartal. 335,7 Milliarden kWh, wobei die Schwankungen zwischen den einzelnen Jahren weniger als 1% betragen); es ergibt sich, daß der Elektrizitätsverbrauch völlig stagniert. Analoge Beobachtungen ergeben sich nach Ländern. Ausgenommen davon sind Frankreich, wo der Verbrauch kontinuierlich stieg, und das Vereinigte Königreich, wo er über den ganzen Beobachtungszeitraum hinweg kontinuierlich gesunken ¡st.

CONSUMPTION TRENDS DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 1983 (Available for the inland market)

In the first quarter of 1983 the amount of electrical energy available to the inland market of the Community of the Nine (the data for Greece are not yet available) was 335 500 million kWh. This should not be compared with the corresponding figure for 1982 since such a small sample is not representative, owing to a combination of many special factors. It is more useful to make a comparison with the period 1979 — 1982 (for which the arithmetic mean is 335 700 million kWh, with variations of less than 1% from one year to another), which shows that consumption of electrical energy has remained stationary. The same trend can be found in the data for the individual Member States, with the notable exceptions of France, where consumption continue to rise, and the United Kingdom, where consumption continued to fall, over the period under review.

EVOLUTION DE LA CONSOMMATION AU COURS DU 1er TRIMESTRE 1983 (Disponible pour le marché intérieur)

Au cours du premier trimestre 1983, l'énergie électrique disponible pour le marché intérieur dans la C o m ­munauté des 9 (les données concernant la Grèce ne sont pas encore disponibles), a été de 335,5 milliards de kWh. Il est inutile de comparer ce chiffre avec le chiffre analogue obtenu en 1982: un trop grand nombre de facteurs particuliers se conjuguent pour perturber un échantillon aussi restreint. En revanche, la comparaison avec la période 1979 — 1982 (moyenne arithmétique 335,7 milliards de kWh avec des oscillations d'une a m ­plitude inférieure à 1% d'une année à l'autre) fait ressortir une complète stagnation de la consommation d'énergie électrique. Des observations analogues peuvent être faites pour chacun des pays avec deux exceptions remarquables, soit la France et le Royaume—Uni qui se caractérisent, la première par une progression continueet le second par un recul continu dans la période de temps considérée.

ERLÄUTERUNGEN

ELEKTRIZ ITÄT

Für das Vereinigte Königreich beziehen sich die monatlichen Angaben auf Monate von vier und fünf Wocnen (vier Wochen für die beiden ersten Monate jeden Trimesters, fünf für den dri t ten).

(1) Die Gesamtbrutto-und-nettoerzeugung beinhaltet die Erzeugung aus Erdwärme in Italien.

(2) Die "Für den inländischen Markt verfügbare Energie" umfaßt jeweils die gesamte außerhalb der Erzeu­gungsanlagen verbrauchte elektrische Energie. Die Übertragungs- und Verteilungsverluste sind daher mit eingeschlossen. Diese verfügbare Energie ¡st somit gleich dem Bruttogesamtverbrauch abzüglich des Ener­gieverbrauchs der Hilfsantriebe und der Pumpspeicherwerke.

(3) Die angegebenen Prozentsätze zeiaen den Anstieg gegenüber dem des Vorjahresmonats nach Bereinigung der Ungleichheit an Arbeitstagen (Dieses gilt nicht für die kumulierten Zahlen).

BRENNSTOFFVERBRAUCH

Die Angaben über den Brennstoffverbrauch in den öffentlichen Wärmekraftwerken beziehen sich auf die Umwandlung zur Elektrizitäts-und Wärmeerzeugung.

Die Umrechnung der Brennstoffe in Terajoule (TJ) basiert auf dem unteren Heizwert (Hu) der einzelnen Brennstoffe. Bei der Umrechnung des gesamten Verbrauchs der Brennstoffe in Tonnen Rohöleinheiten (t ROE) sind 41 8 6 0 kJ(Hu) /kg zugrundegelegt worden.

Die Angaben für die BR Deutschland betreffen auch den Verbrauch der STEAG-Kraftwerke (Steinkohle Elektrizitäts AG). Demzufolge erreicht der Erfassungsgrad der gegenwertigen Statistik gegenüber dem Verbrauch sämtlicher Wärme­kraftwerke die in der nachfolgenden Tabelle angegebenen Werte.

Folgendes sind die für die verschiedenen Brennstoffe verwendeten Bezeichnungen:

— der Steinkohlenverbrauch umfaßt außer der Steinkohle alle Nebenprodukte der Steinkohlenförderung, wie z.B. Schlammkohle und wiedergewonnene Produkte. Im Vereinigten Königreich gehört außerdem noch der Koksverbrauch dazu;

— der Braunkohlenverbrauch erfaßt ältere und jüngere Braunkohle sowie Braunkohlenbriketts und für Irland auch den Torfverbrauch;

— der Verbrauch von Mineralölprodukten bezieht Raffineriegas mit ein;

— der Verbrauch der abgeleiteten Gase umfaßt den Verbrauch von Hochofen- und Kokereigas;

— zum Gesamtverbrauch sind auch verschiedene Brennstoffe wie Industrieabfälle, Müll, Holz, usw. sowie zuge­kaufter und wiedergewonnener Dampf zu rechnen.

EXPLANATORY NOTES

ELECTRICITY

The United Kingdom monthly data refer to periods of 4 or 5 weeks (4 weeks for the two first months of each quarter, 5 for the last month).

(1) The total generation and the total net production include geothermal production of Italy.

(2) The electric energy 'available for internal market' covers all the electricity consumed in the country con­cerned outside generating installations. Transportation and distribution losses are therefore included. This amount is thus equal to the gross total consumption less the energy absorbed by station auxiliaries and pumping stations.

(3) The given percentages indicate the increase of the consumption when referred to the same month of the preceding year, after correction for difference in working days (This does not refer to the cumulative data)

CONSUMPTION OF FUELS

The fuel consumption data in public thermal power stations refer to the generation of electricity and heat.

The conversion of fuels into Terajoules (TJ) is effected on the basis of the respective net calorific value (NCV) for each fuel. The conversion of 'total fuel consumption' in tonnes of oil equivalent (toe) is calculated on the basis of a factor of 41 860 kJ(NCV)/kg. The data for FR of Germany also cover the STEAG (Steinkohle Elektrizitäts AG) power stations. Thus the extent of coverage of the present statistics compared to the consumption of all the power stations reach the values indicated in the fol lowing table.

The different fuels are covered by the fol lowing definitions :

— hard coal consumption includes all coal by-products, such as slurry and recovered products. Moreover it includes coke consumption for the United Kingdom;

— lignite consumption includes black lignite, brown coal and brown coal briquettes. For Ireland peat con­sumption is contained in this rubric;

— petroleum products consumption includes refinery gas;

— derived gases include blast furnace gas and coke oven gas;

— under the heading 'Total consumption' are included various fuels such as industrial residues, household waste, wood, etc... as well as purchased and recovered water vapour.

NOTES EXPLICATIVES

ENERGIE ELECTRIQUE

CONSOMMATION DE COMBUSTIBLES

Les données de consommation de combustibles dans les centrales thermiques des services publics se rapportent aux transformations en vue de la production d'énergie électrique et de la production de chaleur desservies par ces services publics.

La conversion des combustibles en Terajoules (TJ) est effectuée sur la base du pouvoir calorifique inférieur (PCI) respectif à chaque combustible. La conversion de la consommation totale de combustibles en tonnes d'équivalent pétrole (tep) est établi sur la base d'un taux de 41 8 6 0 kJ(PCI)/kg.

En RF d'Allemagne, les données couvrent également les centrales de la STEAG (Steinkohle Elektrizitäts AG). Ainsi le degré de couverture de la présente statistique, par rapport à la consommation de combustibles de l'ensemble des centrales thermiques classiques, atteint les taux repris dans le tableau ci-après.

En ce qui concerne les différents combustibles, les définitions retenues sont les suivantes :

— la consommation de houille comprend outre la houille, tous les produits d'extraction houillère, tels que les schlamms et les produits de récupération. De plus, elle inclut la consommation de coke pour le Roy­aume-Uni;

— la consommation de lignite couvre le lignite ancien, le lignite récent et les briquettes de lignite ainsi que la consommation de tourbe pour l 'Irlande;

— la consommation de produits pétroliers inclut le gaz de raffineries;

— la consommation de gaz dérivés couvre celle de gaz de hauts fourneaux et de gaz de cokeries;

— dans la consommation totale sont compris des combustibles divers tels que les résidus industriels, les or­dures ménagères, Je bois, e t c . , de même que la vapeur achetée et récupérée.

Der Nettoverbrauch (einschließlich Verluste) in der Gemeinschaft betrug 1982 1 210 Milliarden kWh. Berücksichtigt man, daß 1980 und 1981 1 214 bzw. 1 217 Milliarden kWh verbraucht wurden, so wird deutl ich, daß wir uns in einer Phase der Stagna­tion befinden, die von einem Jahr zum anderen nur durch unwesentliche Schwankungen (weniger als 1%) beeinflußt w i rd . Die sich bereits 1981 abzeichnende Tendenz hat sich damit 1982 voll bestätigt. Darüber hinaus ist die Feststellung interessant, daß dieser Zusantd des Gleichgewichts das Ergebnis des Ausgleichs zwischen zwei einander entgegengesetzten Tendenzen ¡st,nämlich:

— Rückgang des Verbrauchs in der Industrie, deren Anteil am Gesamtverbrauch von 47,9% (1981 ) auf 47 ,1% (1982) gesunken ist,

— Zunahme des Verbrauchs im Tertiärsektor und bei den privaten Haushalten, deren gemeinsamer Anteil am Gesamtverbrauch von 62,7 auf 63,6% gestiegen ist.

Diese Tendenzen zeichnen sich in allen Ländern mit Ausnahme Dänemarks ab, wo übrigens der Anteil der Industrie am Gesamt— verbrauch sehr niedrig ¡st.

ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION - Provisional results for 1982

In 1982 net electricity consumption (including losses) in the Community was 1 210 000 mil l ion kWh. Since the corresponding figures for 1980 and 1981 were 1 214 000 and 1 217 000 mil l ion kWh respectively, it is clear that consumption remained stagnant, wi th only insignificant fluctuations (less than 1%) f rom year to year. The trend which became apparent in 1981 was thus ful ly confirmed in 1981. It is also interesting to observe that this state of equil ibrium results from a balance between two opposing trends :

— a decline in industrial consumption, whose share of total consumption dropped from 47.9% (1981 ) to 4 7 . 1 % (1982);

— an expansion of consumption in the tertiary and household sectors, whose combined share increased from 62.7% to 63.6%.

These trends are apparent in all the Member States with the exception of Denmark, where the proport ion of consumption r e ­presented by industry is very low.

Considérant qu'elle a été en 1980, et en 1981, respectivement de 1 214 et de 1 217 milliards de kWh, il apparaît clairement que nous sommes dans une période de stagnation à peine perturbée par des oscillations insignifiantes (moins de 1%) d'une année sur l'autre. La tendance déjà apparue en 1981 se trouve ainsi maintenue en 1982. Par ailleurs, il est intéressant d'observer que cet état d'équilibre résulte de l'action de deux tendances opposées qui se font contrepoids, à savoir :

— le recul de la consommation dans l'industrie, dont la part dans la consommation totale passe de 47,9% (1981) à 47 ,1% (1982);

— la progression de la consommation dans le secteur tertiaire et dans les foyers domestiques, dont la part dans la consom­mation totale passe de 62,7% à 63,6%.
