Der PROFIBUS (Process Field Bus) ist ein, nach der interna-tionalen Norm EN 50170 genormter, offener Feldbus. Umden unterschiedlichen Anforderungen in der Automatisie-rungstechnik gerecht zu werden, wird der PROFIBUS indrei unterschiedliche Profile unterteilt:

PROFIBUS-FMS (Field Message Specification) Protokoll zur Kommunikation zwischen verschiedenenSteuerungen (SPS) oder PC’s.

PROFIBUS-PA (Process Automation)Eigensicheres Bussystem für die Prozesstechnik.

PROFIBUS-DP (Decentral Periphery)Übertragungsprotokoll für die Kommunikation zwischenSteuerung und dezentralen Ein-/Ausgabebaugruppen.

Die Lumberg-E/A-Stationen unterstützen das PROFI-BUS-DP-Protokoll.

Durch die Unterstützung der meisten großen Steuerungs-hersteller und die herstellerneutrale Weiterentwicklungdurch die PNO (Profibus-Nutzer-Organisation) wird derProfibus auch in Zukunft eine wichtige Rolle bei denFeldbussystemen spielen. Mittlerweile sind Feldgeräte fürnahezu alle Anwendungen verfügbar (binäre und analoge E/A-Module, Robotersteuerungen, Visualisierungssysteme).

PROFIBUS

PROFIBUS (Process Field Bus) is an open fieldbus standard-ized in compliance with the international standard EN50170. To meet various demands in automation technolo-gy PROFIBUS is subdivided into three different profiles:

PROFIBUS-FMS (Field Message Specification)Protocol for communication between different controlsystems (PLCs or PCs).

PROFIBUS-PA (Process Automation)Intrinsically safe bus system for process technology.

PROFIBUS-DP (Decentral Periphery)Transmission protocol for the communication betweencontrol system and decentral input/output assemblies.

The Lumberg I/O stations support the PROFIBUS-DPprotocol.

PROFIBUS applications will play a vital role in the futureof fieldbus systems thanks to the support of most big con-trol system manufacturers and the developement of PNO(PROFIBUS User Organization), which is independent ofmanufacturers. PROFIBUS field devices are currently avail-able for practically every application, such as binary andanalog I/O modules, robot control systems, visualizationsystems, etc...

Sie muss für jeden Busaufbau individuell erfasst werden.

Projektierung der TeilnehmerDie Projektierung der einzelnen Teilnehmer erfolgt mittels derGSD-Dateien (GeräteStammDatei), welche vom Hersteller fürjeden Slave bereitgestellt werden.Die GSD-Dateien für die Lumberg-Busmodule können unter www.lumberg.com/downloads heruntergeladen werden.

AdressierungÜber Drehadressierschalter (Adresse 1...99) oder Adressiertools(Adresse 1...126) wird jedem Teilnehmer eine eigene Adressezugewiesen. Für die Software-Programmierung der Lumberg-Module stehen die folgenden Adressiertools zur Verfügung:

Adressiertool 0973 PTL 201: für Module der M23-Busan-schluss-Serie 0970 PSL 201/202/203/204Lumberg-Handheld 0903 UTL 101 für sämtliche Module mit M12-Busanschluss, sowie für folgende Module mit M23-Busanschluss: 0970 PSL 201/202/203/204CoDi-Software für das e2c-SystemProfibusinterface in Verbindung mit einer Projektierungs-software, wie z.B. DiagnoseDer Diagnoseaufbau ist in der internationalen Norm EN 50170,Volume2 festgeschrieben und besteht aus max. 244 Byte. DieDiagnose unterteilt sich grundsätzlich in zwei verschiedene Teile:Byte 0 bis 5 enthalten die System- oder Standarddiagnose, diejeder Profibus-Slave beinhalten und immer identisch aufgebautsein muss (z.B. Stationsstatus, Master-PROFIBUS-Adresse,Herstellerkennung).Ab Byte6 beginnt die gerätebezogene Diagnose, die für jedenSlave optional und individuell aufgebaut sein kann. Byte6 bein-haltet grundsätzlich die Länge der erweiterten Diagnose. Dieeigentliche Diagnose beginnt dann bei Byte7 und enthält z.B.Meldungen über Kurzschluss oder Überlast.

AddressingAn individual address is allocated to each participant via rotaryaddress switches (address 1...99) or addressing tools (address1...126). The following addressing tools are available for the soft-ware programming of the Lumberg modules:

Addressing tool 0973 PTL 201: for modules of the M23 bus connection series 0970 PSL 201/202/203/204Lumberg Handheld 0903 UTL 101 for all modules with M12 bus connection as well as for the following modules with M23 bus connection: 0970 PSL 201/202/203/204CoDi software for the e2c systemProfibus interface in conjunction with a projectioning software, like COMProfibus or STEP7

Diagnostic systemThe structure of the diagnostic system is defined in the interna-tional standard EN 50170, volume2 and comprises 244 bytes as amaximum. The diagnostic system is generally subdivided into twodifferent parts:Bytes 0 to 5 comprises the system or standard diagnosis whicheach PROFIBUS slave must comprise and which must be struc-tured identically (e.g. station status, master PROFIBUS address,manufacturer’s identification).From byte6 the unit-related diagnosis begins which can be struc-tured optionally and individually for each slave. Byte6 generallycomprises the length of the extended diagnosis. The actual diag-nosis then begins with byte7. As an example, byte7 may indicatea short circuit or overload.
