Frank Hinman PierpontGeboren 1860 in New Haven, CT, gestorben 1937 in London. Aus-bildung als Mechaniker. Ab 1894 in Berlin tätig für die Firma LoeweAG, bei der die Typograph-Setzmaschine gebaut wurde. Seit 1896Direktor der Typograph-Setzmaschinenfabrik. 1899 ging er nach Eng-land zur Monotype, wo er Betriebsleiter wurde.
