Words of Encouragement &

Advice from Your Past

Teachers of St. Paul

Dear Eighth Grade, Congratulations! You have made it to the next phase of your life. You have begun to make plans and look forward to all the exciting events and new friends of high school. But wait! We all make plans but none of us knows what the future will bring. We learned that this fourth quarter. We had lots of plans that could not be carried out. But that is OK. We have a God who has plans for us. His plans are better than any we could make. I want to share with you my favorite Bible verse: Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God. So go ahead and make your plans remembering that if your plans do not work out that God is in control and His plans are always for our good.

May God bless and keep you! Mrs. Plamann (Kindergarten)

Congratulations to the 8th grade class of 2020! God has truly blessed your time at St. Paul School. Even though your school year did not end how you may have wanted it, God was with you and continued to bless you. May this passage give you strength and comfort in the days ahead as you look forward to high school, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7

In Christ, Mrs. Frey (1st Grade)

Dear 2020 8th Grade Graduates, What an eighth grade year it has been! You have endured through a pandemic. You have continued to be faithful to your studies, to God’s Word, and you have earned this graduation. I want to encourage you as you head into summer, on to high school, and into the unknown future. While you may not know what lies ahead, rest assured, God knows. Romans 8:28 tells us “And we know that

in all things God works for the good of those who love him”. Jeremiah 29:11 also assures us “‘for I know the plans I have for you, ‘declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” God ultimately plans to keep you close to him and his Word and someday take you to be with him in heaven. My encouragement for you as you go forward in uncertain times is to continue to keep God’s Word close to you. Surround yourselves with Christian friends who will also encourage you with God’s Word. As you go forward from today, may God heap his richest blessings on each one of you today and always!

Yours in Christ’s service, Mrs. Kelley (2nd Grade)

Dear fellow redeemed by Christ, moving forward - or perhaps upward. As the fantastic passage you chose for your class verse suggests... you will keep moving on, but, as you so well have demonstrated this knowledge in your choice of passages, not on your own. The LORD goes with you. Your parents, relatives, teachers, pastors, and friends all have different roles throughout your lives, and love you, and are great gifts from God; but your strength, your complete comfort, hope, and peace can only come from the LORD and His love for you... (As maybe the remarkably unconventional way this school year has ended was impressed on you.) God's great blessings be upon you as you lift your wings and soar to your next destination with Christ as your strength. Isaiah 40:31 EHV - "But those who wait for the LORD will receive new strength. They will lift up their wings and soar like eagles. They will run and not become weary. They will walk and not become tired." Thank you for being such awesome buddies to the third grade class!!

God’s Blessings! Mrs. Dietzler (3rd Grade)

8th Grade class of 2020: As you go forward to high school during these uncertain and unusual times, I encourage you to keep in mind my favorite Bible verse: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) No matter what happens and no matter

how it happens, God will always be working for your good because you are His dearly loved children through Jesus. Keep your connection to Jesus strong!

Mr. Schulz (4th Grade)

Dear Eighth Graders, I just want you to know that I genuinely enjoyed stepping into your classroom in the middle of the afternoon for music and art. I really did look forward to your class every day! You were always enthusiastic and willing to try some different things as we practiced songs, and learned about composers and artists. You all have so many talents - I can’t wait to see how you use those abilities in the years ahead! This is an exciting time and high school awaits! Remember the comforting words of Ps. 121:8: ”The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Blessings to you! Mrs. Rehberger (5th Grade)

As you look back over your time at St. Paul, you have a great deal to be thankful for and also be proud of. You have accomplished a lot as a class in a variety of areas. Most importantly, you have grown in your faith and built a foundation that will take you into in the upcoming years of high school. Remember the truths of God’s Word you learned, especially during the times of trials and temptations. For God is faithful and has a plan for you, look to Him for continued guidance in your lives.

God’s Richest Blessings- Mr. Hoffman (6th Grade)

Dear SPL 8th grade class of 2020, It has certainly been an unforgettable year. When you look back on your time at St. Paul, you will undoubtedly smile because of the great memories, and hopefully recollect a few useful educational tips as well! God has begun to mold you into the person he is willing you to become during your years at St. Paul, and this year was no exception. I know this is not how any of you envisioned your 8th grade year winding down, but there's a purpose for it. Take the lessons of dedication, resilience, and adaptability that you learned during this quarter, and apply them to your lives moving forward. God's blessings as you enter into high school. Remember, God will never leave you, nor forsake you!

-Mr. Stelter (7th Grade)

Dear 8th graders - It has been a distinct pleasure working with you this year, and seeing you grow into fine young Christian adults. I wish you God's richest blessings on all your future endeavors. I leave you with one thought, which you have heard before, but still remains just as true today, no matter which day or what kind of day today is: "This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it!" (Psalm 188:24)

In Christ, Mr. Rehberger (8th Grade)

Dear St. Paul 8th Grade Graduates, May the LORD continue to bless you as you leave St. Paul Lutheran School and continue your studies at Fox Valley Lutheran High School and beyond. May you take the earthly knowledge that you learned at your school and expand upon it as you figure out where you will use your gifts, talents, and abilities in service for your Savior Jesus and the world around you. Most importantly, may you share the faith that the Holy Spirit has given to you through His Word and the Sacrament of Baptism. Be the light and the salt that this world so desires and needs. It is my prayer that you continue to strengthen your faith through the daily study of His Word and that the LORD continues to be with you in all situations and circumstances. Take comfort in God’s promise when He says in Isaiah 40:31: “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”. Please remember, you are “Conquerors Through Christ”!

God be with you until we meet again, Mr. Kelley, Principal
