Koreanisches Parlament fordert von China Stopp der Vergeltung für THAAD-Stationierung

Das koreanische Parlament hat eine Resolution verabschiedet, um die chinesische Regierung zu einem Stopp der

Vergeltungsmaßnahmen für die Stationierung des Raketenabwehrsystems THAAD aufzufordern. In der Resolution steht,

dass China seine Vergeltungsaktivitäten umgehend stoppen und Maßnahmen zum Schutz der lokalen koreanischen

Bevölkerung ergreifen sollte.

Koreanische Wachstumsprognose 2017 bei 2,5 %

Das koreanische Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitut KERI hat seine Wachstumsprognose für Korea für dieses Jahr auf 2,5 %

nach oben korrigiert. Noch im vergangenen Dezember ging das Institut von einem Wachstum von etwa 2,1 % aus. Die

Korrektur nach oben wird auf Erwartungen zurückgeführt, dass sich Koreas Exporte dank der verbesserten Wachstumsrate

der Weltwirtschaft erholen würden. Der Internationale Währungsfonds hatte im Januar die Wachstumsprognose für die

Weltwirtschaft von 3,1 auf 3,4 Prozent angehoben. Die von KERI korrigierte Wachstumsprognose ist jedoch 0,3

Prozentpunkte niedriger als das letztjährige Wachstum von 2,8 Prozent. Grund seien die anhaltend schwache

Binnennachfrage und die nachlassende Wirkung von Konjunkturstimuli. Das Institut rechnete mit einem Anstieg der

Verbraucherpreise um 1,6 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr. Der diesjährige Überschuss in der Leistungsbilanz werde leicht

auf 92,2 Milliarden Dollar von 98,7 Milliarden Dollar im vergangenen Jahr schrumpfen. Der Won-Dollar-Wechselkurs soll

bei 1.145 Won pro Dollar liegen und damit 1,4 Prozent niedriger als letztes Jahr sein. Mit der Zeit werde sich die derzeitige

Won-Aufwertung verlangsamen.

Regierung will 2018 intensiv in Arbeitsplätze und Industrie 4.0 investieren

Die koreanische Regierung hat für das Jahr 2018 geplant, zusätzliche Mittel in neue Arbeitsplätzen, Industrie 4.0, der

Überwindung der niedrigen Geburtenrate und der Verringerung der Einkommensschere zu investieren. Die entsprechenden

Richtlinien für die Aufstellung des Haushaltsplans 2018 wurde diese Woche verabschiedet. Die Regierung will unter

anderem die bestehenden Projekte für die Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen für junge Menschen und Hilfsmaßnahmen bei

Existenzgründungen erweitern. Hinsichtlich Industrie 4.0 soll mehr in die Entwicklung von Kerntechnologien, die

Ausbildung von Arbeitskräften und den Infrastrukturaufbau investiert werden, damit neue Wachstumsmotoren

sichergestellt werden können.

Koreas Bruttoinlandsprodukt wuchs letztes Jahr um 2,8 %

Nach Angaben der Koreanischen Zentralbank BOK ist das koreanische Bruttoinlandsprodukt letztes Jahr um 2,8%

gegenüber dem Vorjahr gewachsen. Das Bruttosozialprodukt legte um 1,4 Prozentpunkte im Vorjahresvergleich auf 27.561

USD zu.

Importe aus den USA gestiegen

Der Zuwachs der Importe aus den USA war im Februar so groß wie seit drei Jahren nicht mehr. Laut dem koreanischen

Verband für Internationalen Handel (KITA) importierte Korea im Februar Waren im Wert von 3,8 Milliarden USD aus den

USA. Das sind 22,7% mehr im Jahr zuvor. Die Exporte in die USA legten unterdessen um 1,7 % auf 5,3 Milliarden USD zu.

Samsung Electronics: Veröffentlichung von neuen Smartphones

Samsung Electronics hat diese Woche seine neuen Smartphones, das Galaxy S8 und das Galaxy S8 Plus, veröffentlicht. Der

Verkauf der neuen Geräte wird weltweit am 21. April starten. Der Preis soll bei ungefähr 600 USD für das S8 liegen.

Samsung hofft damit sich in der Smartphone Sparte von den Ereignissen des letzten Jahres zu erholen.

Korean Air: MOU mit Delta Air Lines

Korean Air unterzeichnete diese Woche ein MOU mit Delta Air Lines, um die gemeinsame Präsenz zu stärken. Hierzu soll

unter anderem ein Joint Venture errichtet werden, um vor allem bei den transpazifischen Flugrouten Kosten zu sparen und

wettbewerbsfähiger zu werden.

Hyundai Motors: Einführung des Genesis in China

Hyundai Motors plant seine Premiummarke Genesis nächstes Jahr in China einzuführen. Die Premiummarke Genesis wurde

2015 eingeführt und hat sich in den USA und Korea bisher mehr als 45.000 mal verkauft. Im ersten Quartal dieses Jahres

wurden weltweit fast 9.000 Autos verkauft.

LG Electronics: Patentstreit in den USA

LG Electronics hat in den USA eine Klage gegen den Smartphone Hersteller BLU eingereicht. Grund dafür ist die Verletzung

eines LTE Patents, welches dem Unternehmen nach LG gehört. BLU ist der sechstgrößte Smartphonehersteller in den USA

und ist vor allem im niedrigen Preissegment aktiv. Das Unternehmen hat letztes Jahr 5.2 MIllionen Produkte verkauft.

KGCCI Extraordinary General Meeting

This week, KGCCI hosted an Extraordinary General Meeting.

The meeting was scheduled to vote about the amendments to

the Articles of Association of KGCCI (AOA). The adopted AOA

and separate election regulations will be sent out by a

separate mail. KGCCI also had the honor to host Minister Joo

Hyung-hwan of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and

Energy at the EGM. The Minister spoke about current

challenges and trends in global economy and how Germany

and Korea can jointly overcome them. He also stressed the

importance of diversification and innovation of the Korean

economy as one of its future tasks. KGCCI puts its own efforts

to foster innovation in Korea by rewarding innovative

companies with the KGCCI Innovation Awards.

German Pavilion at Seoul Motor Show 2017

The automotive industry in Korea is the fifth-largest in

the world measured by automobile unit production and

the fifth-largest by automobile export volume. At the

Seoul Motor Show 2017, German automotive suppliers

currently present their newest technologies and world-

wide leading products at the German joint pavilion.

KGCCI and GTaI experts held a briefing for the exhibitors

to provide them with in depth information on the Korean

automotive industry.
