W+R blickt auf eine 90-jährige Tradition und Expertise in der Fertigung von Handschuhen zurück. Bereits 1928 als Familienunternehmen von dem Gerber Jakob Weiblen und seinem Schwager, dem Handschuhmacher Theodor Rümmelin in Neuhausen an der Erms gegründet, zieht W+R 1936 ins benachbarte Metzingen um, wo die erste Handschuhfabrik entsteht. Hergestellt werden zunächst Fahrer- und Arbeits-handschuhe aus Leder, später kommen die ersten Kunst-stoffhandschuhe dazu. Ende der 80er Jahre entstehen die Geschäftsbereiche Handschuhrecycling, -reinigung, -reparatur und -vermietung.

Handschuhe von W+R zeichnen sich durch technische Innova-tionen und Zuverlässigkeit aus. Als gefragter Ausrüster von Industrie, Handwerk, Behörden, Polizei und Militär vertrauen Kunden weltweit auf unsere jahrzehntelange Erfahrung und die hauseigene Entwicklungsabteilung mit modernem Labor, Zuschnitt, Musternäherei und Qualitätsprüfung.

W+R glove factory in 1936

W+R looks back over 90 years of tradition and expertise

in the manufacturing of gloves. The family business was

established way back in 1928 by the tanner Jakob Weiblen

and his brother-in-law, the glove maker Theodor Rümmelin

in Neuhausen an der Erms. W+R then moved to the neigh-

bouring town of Metzingen in 1936 where the first glove

factory was built. The factory first produced leather driving

and work gloves with the first plastic gloves arriving on the

scene later. At the end of the 1980s, the company expanded

into glove recycling, cleaning, repair and rental.

Gloves by W+R are characterised by their technical innovation

and reliability. As a sought-after supplier to industry, skilled

crafts and trades, local authorities, the police and armed

forces, customers all over the world rely on our decades of

experience and our in-house development department, with

its modern laboratory, cutting, stitching and quality control

sections.
