Space Syntax tools describe the unique spatial and physical characteristics of places based on a model of accessibility

FRACTAL SIMULATION (MUP CITY)

Based on the fractal idea the softwre MUP City© has beendeveloped to interwave built up and open space - the classic pair of oppsites (problematic of urban sprawl, over-compactness, etc.)

It works with accessibility, service clusters, public transport, free open space and topographie.

Simulation of urban planning scenarios on different backgrounds: development, regeneration and consolidation.

Fractal Simulation

Fractals describes high efficient hierarchical, multi-scale structures. This can be used in regional and urban planning for:

regional scale: hierarchy of agglomeration clusters

urban scale: hierarchy of street network (global to local) (pedestrians, cycles, buses, cars, trains)

architectural scale: building heights & density

consistency through all scales

Let us recall: high efficient movement networks and density has an impact on economic, ecological and social domains.
