Die negativen Ereignisse betreffen die Situation vieler Airbus Supplier, die zum Teil Mitarbeiter entlassen, sich mehr und mehr aus dem Airbus-Geschäft rausziehen oder finanzielle Anpassungen vornehmen müssen. Auch wir bleiben davon na-türlich nicht unverschont und versuchen das ganze möglichst schonend für den Großteil des Teams abzufedern.

die positiven ereignisse sind u.a., dass wir in Zukunft verstärkt auch im Bereich Produkte für die Kabine im flugzeug tätig sein werden. dabei werden wir verschiedene Kunden und airlines bedienen im In- und ausland und uns komplett neue märkte er-schließen. des Weiteren werden wir verstärkt auch in süddeutsch-land tätig sein, da hier zum teil große systemlieferanten aber auch viele Hersteller von Kleinflugzeugen aktiv sind.

Weitere details zu den genauen Produkten, Kunden und den sich ergebenden möglichkeiten erzähle ich euch dann gerne auf unse-rem stammtisch.

die entwicklung auf den laufenden Projekten/Programmen wird im Wesentlichen von zwei entwicklungen im kommenden Jahr 2015 geprägt sein:

Wir werden versuchen durch unsere gute Stellung bei den Optimierungs- und Projektmanagement-Themen bei Neupro-jekten, die sich aufgrund der Kosteneinsparungsziele von Air-bus ergeben zum Zuge kommen.

wie ihr alle mit sicherheit auch mitbekommt, passiert wie immer sehr viel in unserem arbeitsumfeld (wo wir tätig sind). dabei gibt es so wohl negative nachrichten wie auch positive nachrichten mit denen wir konfron-tiert sind.

die organisation beim a350 esI team, wo wir stark vertreten sind, ist nun soweit gefestigt und alle können sich auf ihre tätigkeiten konzentrie-ren.

Beim a380 kommt es darauf an, wie die Bestel-lungen, insbesondere der geplanten hovs für das nächste Jahr, realisiert werden und welche neube-stellungen für welchen Zeitraum für die entwick-lung eingeplant werden. Es wird aber definitiv mehr zu tun geben als dieses Jahr (2014:1 hovs) und die Umstrukturierung beim a380 wird für mehr aufgaben sorgen.

Ich freue mich möglichst viele von euch beim deutschland motto abend von Justin und beim stammtisch zu sehen, so dass wir alle uns wie-dersehen, weitere details zu der Zukunftssituation und den anstehenden Projekten besprechen können und natürlich das tolle rahmenprogramm gemein-sam genießen.

Die Zulassungsurkunde für den A350-900, seitens der EASA, hat Airbus in KW39 erhalten. In den kommenden Wochen erhält Airbus noch die Zulassungsurkunde der Fe-deral Aviation Administration.

Unser team wirkt noch immer an dem -900 Projekt und -1000 Projekt mit. neben diesen wurde eine enab-ling Platform eingeführt. die team Kollegen, Yoan, leonard und martijn sind mit diesem Projekt vertraut. die enabling Platform soll die Installa-tion von allen standard- und optio-nalen cabin & systems Items, die in der Offerability Specification und den Kataloganfragen enthalten sind, erlau-ben. das hauptziel ist es, ungeplante Änderungen zu vermeiden, die durch die customization verursacht werden. die Plattform deckt alle standard a/c Interfaces zur cabin Installation sowie den cabin und systemarchitekturen und gewährleistet so eine umfassende

Mitte August hat der Airbus A350- Prototyp MSN5 die Streckenflugerprobung abgeschlossen. Die Flug-testphase wurde in 14 monaten durchgeführt und die fünf a350- msn5 waren insgesamt 2.500 stunden in der luft.

flexibilität. Zudem gibt es noch zwei ausschreibungen. die erste befasst sich mit dem Weight management, Weight saving, design & costs so-wie fixed Brackets zur steigerung der Energieeffizienz. Eine weitere große, transnationale ausschreibung ist der msI support. das thema ist auf drei Jahre angelegt und soll in Kürze star-ten.

des Weiteren ist unser a380 team in ein anderes Gebäude gezogen und hat den Umzug gut bewältigt. die atmo-sphäre ist angenehm und es haben sich keine negativen auswirkungen auf die tägliche arbeit ergeben.

Zur Zeit gibt es viele Gerüch-te, dass im nächsten Jahr min-destens eine „head of version“ (hov) hinzukommt.

die interne Umorganisation von air-bus bedeutet ebenfalls eine positive entwicklung für uns, da wir dadurch mehr aufträge erwarten und somit un-

es gibt nun endlich das Go für das a330 neo Programm. ab 2017 soll die neue version verfüg-bar sein und mehrere Kunden haben bereits 25 Bestellungen der leasing firma airlease corporation, 100 sind gesamt!

für die a330 neo wurden Updates wie Gewichtsreduzierung, neue triebwer-ke, LED Lichter und andere Modifi-zierungen vorgenommen. aus einem alten Modell wird so ein neues effizi-enteres flugzeug geschaffen. die flü-gelspanne wird um 3,7 meter erweitert und die Winglets und flügelspitzen werden mit neuen verbundwerksstof-fen gebaut. der rest besteht wie zuvor aus aluminium. eine weitere verbes-serung sind die größeren sitze, die rund 46 cm breit sein sollen. In dem a330-800 neo ist dann raum für 252 sitze und im a330-900 ist Platz für 310 sitze.

Wir sind dabei dem Kunden unse-re Unterstützung anzubieten, um bei der neo mitzuwirken, denn mit rund 100 kurz nach Bekanntgabe des Pro-jektes eingegangenen Bestellungen entspricht die neo den erwartungen und wird viel arbeit und spannende herausforderungen für die beteiligten teams bedeuten.

Die nächsten Schritte des Projektes sind:• Start der Implementierung der Op-timierungen im sa-Programm. die entwickler sind tobias und ein airbus interner mitarbeiter.

• Start der Implementierung der Opti-mierungen im lr-Programm.

voraussetzung dafür ist, dass ein wei-terer entwickler gefunden wird, der den momentanen (externen) entwick-ler unterstützen kann. Wir sind derzeit fleißig auf der Suche!

A330 Neo- Programm

A320- ProgrammIn dem Programm laufen zur Zeit zwei Projekte parallel. ein Ziel besteht darin, den Budget-Pla-nungsprozess zu beschleunigen und die transparenz zu erhöhen. ebenso sollen Änderungen in der ressourcen-planung, speziell bei der Beauftragung externer Work Packages transparenter und damit leichter planbar gemacht werden. dazu wurde bereits als „Quick Win“ pro Programm ein dokument er-zeugt, das sowohl den Planungsprozess genau beschreibt (gemäß „supplier-In-

Mitte September hatte das Team einen DISTINC-T Deployment Kick-off in Stade und somit ist stade bereits das zwei-te airbus Werk, welches auf dIstInc-t setzt. dies ist ein erster etappensieg, auch wenn stade eher ein kleineres Werk ist. das team geht auch davon aus, dass dIstInc-t in st. nazaire und toulouse eingesetzt wird. die Umsetzung wird zurzeit noch auf der esB change-Plattform geprüft.

die herausforderung besteht momentan in den entsprechenden finanzierungsfragen. das team ist aber trotzdessen sehr zuversichtlich, dass das tool sich noch weiter durchsetzen wird und das deployment voranschreitet.

Plant Engineeringdas neue tool des entwicklungsteams genießt weiterhin eine sehr hohe anerkennung und bekommt viel positives feedback aus unterschiedlicher richtung.

Dubai Aktivitäten

Ein weiteres Teilprojekt wurde durch sehr hohes Engage-ment innerhalb der letzten zwei Monate mit nur zwei Wo-chen verspätung erfüllt.

Inzwischen hat sich eine weitere herausforderung ergeben, da der flughafen zurzeit Probleme mit dem Baggage hand-ling system hat. es bleiben Gepäckstücke auf der strecke und der Grund, warum das Bhs an seine Grenzen stößt, ist noch nicht ganz klar. Um das Problem zu begrenzen, hat der air-port den Wunsch geäußert, teile des neuen Gepäcksystems vor dem Weihnachtsrutsch funktionstüchtig zu haben, damit noch weitere ressourcen genutzt werden können.

Unsere aktivitäten in dubai und die gesetzten meilensteine schreiten weiter voran. der erste milestone, die Übergabe des ersten teilprojektes, ist fast erreicht und es wird hart daran gearbeitet, diesen termin einzuhalten.

Die Prioritäten sind nun komplett neu und bestehende Planungen und die Ressourcen müssen neu ausgerichtet werden, um die Probleme vor Weihnachten zu beseitigen: die Zeit mit den meisten Passagieren.

Zusätzlich zum subcontract management bestehen für Jens auch weitere herausforderungen im claim management.

Insgesamt wurden bislang 1500 tonnen stahl von insgesamt ca. 2300

tonnen installiert. Im elektrik Be-reich wurden bisher ca. 115 km Kabel

von ca. 200 km Kabel installiert.

Damit die Piloten einen weiten Blickwinkel haben und genug für die Navigation des Fliegers sehen können, sind die cockpit-fenster bis dato sehr groß gewesen, nehmen also den Platz weg, den man andernfalls für weitere Passagiere nutzen könnte. da sie zudem widerstandsfähig sein müs-sen, erhöhen sie das Gewicht der flug-zeuge. airbus schlussfolgerte daraus, dass die fenster im cockpit ganz oder zumindest teilweise von hochauflösen-den Bildschirmen ersetzt werden sol-len, die das navigieren des flugzeuges ermöglichen.

das cockpit müsste sich nun nicht mehr in der Flugzeugnase befinden, sondern der Platz kann anders aufge-teilt werden und das cockpit könnte sich an einem ganz anderen Ort befin-den. möglichkeiten wären die heck-flosse oder der Frachtraum. Ebenso kann das cockpit in der flugzeugnase weiterhin bestehen bleiben, allerdings hätte es kleinere fenster und der rest würde durch Bildschirme ersetzt wer-den. Im Patentantrag von airbus heißt es, dass die Effizienz und auch die Si-cherheit durch fensterlose cockpits erhöht würden, denn die hochauflösen-den Bildschirme zeigten den Piloten ein besseres und kompletteres Bild. der einsatz von hologrammtechnik stellt sich airbus ebenfalls vor, z.B. sollen dadurch dreidimensionale Ge-witterwolken besser umflogen werden.

Neues Patent: Fahrradsattelsitz

neben dem Patent für das fensterlose cockpit leistet airbus natürlich weite-re entwicklungsarbeit und nennt u.a. ein Patent für einen platzsparenden fahrradsattelsitz sein eigen. Passagie-re sollen nun auf fahrradsätteln sitzen.

das Ziel nummer 1 für viele airlines ist es, so viel Passagiere wie möglich zu transportieren. Damit mehr Passagiere in den Flugzeugen Platz finden, sollen sich diese auf fahrradsättel setzen. In der Patentanmeldung von airbus heißt es, um die anzahl der sitze in der Kabine zu maximieren, müsse man den Platz pro Passagier reduzieren. die masse eines sitzes soll somit so klein wie möglich ge-halten werden. die sitze sollen laut Patentanmeldung an einer vertikalen stange befestigt werden. Die Bedürfnisse lassen sich schnell durch die Konfiguration anpassen. Ist ein sitz z.B. ungenutzt, lässt sich dieser hochklappen. ein weiterer vorteil ist, dass der Passagier jetzt zwei armlehnen zur verfügung hat. die frage des anschnallens bleibt jedoch noch ungeklärt.

Goldener Monat Juli für Airbus und Boeing!

Zusätzlichen schub für airbus und Boeing hat die farnborough airshow gegeben. airbus bekam 130 neue festaufträge und hat im laufenden Jahr 980 verkaufte flugzeuge im order-buch stehen.

airbus und Boeing erreichten in die-sem Jahr einen vierstelligen auf-tragseingang. 20 beziehungsweise 30 flugzeuge bestellen British airways und all nippon airways aus dem Programm a320 neo. das Programm hatte einen monat vor dem geplanten Jungfernflug des ersten Prototypen über 3.250 festbestellungen. air asia X will 50 a330 neo bestellen, die mit dem neuen trent 7000-antrieb von rolls royce, ab ende 2017 zur verfü-gung stehen werden.

Boeing lag bis ende Juli mit 400 übergebenen flugzeugen vor airbus. Im Juli war unter den 58 ausgeliefer-ten Boeing-Jets auch die 500ste 777-300ER die bei Emirates fliegt. Bei Air-bus gingen in den vergangenen sieben monaten 352 flieger vom hof, erst im Juli holten die emirates ihren fünfzigs-ten a380 in hamburg ab.

A350 fliegt erstmals mit Bauteil aus 3D-Drucker!

eine a350 testmaschine ist erfolg-reich mit einem Kabinenteil aus dem 3D- Drucker geflogen. Im Jahr 2016 will airbus die technik in der serien-produktion einsetzen.

Zum ersten mal war eine testmaschine a350 msn5, die mit der neuen tech-nik hergestellt wurde, in der luft. die bewegliche halterung für Kabinenteile wurde schicht für schicht im drucker aus titanpulver aufgebaut. elektroni-sche Baupläne dienten als vorlage aus einer designsoftware. der 3d-druck ist nicht nur kostengünstiger und

schneller sondern bei der fertigung fällt auch kein überschüssiges material an. das heißt, beim drucken wird nur so viel verbraucht, wie für die gewünschte Form nötig ist. Weitere Vorteile sind die bessere Energieeffizienz, die Bauteile sind wesentlich leichter und die flugzeugwerften können lagerraum sparen.

die „additive layer manufacturing“-technik (alm) hat eine Gewichtsredu-zierung von 30 % ermöglicht. Gegenüber herkömmlich hergestellten teilen mit gleicher funktion hat das a-350 teil alle funktionalen und fertigkeitsvorgaben erfüllt.

Airbus plant ab Anfang 2016 erste serienmäßige per 3D-Druck gefertigte Titanträger in Flugzeuge einzubau-en. für anfang 2018 sollen dann laut airbus Passagiere mit ersten Jets mit additiv hergestellten fahrwerksteilen befördert werden. airbus hat mit der staatlich chinesischen northwes-tern Polytechnical University (nPU) ein abkommen abge-schlossen, auch größere teile mit der neuen drucktechnik herzustellen.

die maschinen werden in Zukunft deutlich leichter, halb so schwer hoffen die flugzeughersteller. das bedeutet, dass mehr Passagiere mit der gleichen menge treibstoff befördert werden können.

Tabakpflanze

Bio-Kerosin aus Tabakpflanze

Der Flugzeughersteller Boeing möchte in Zukunft Bio-Kerosin aus Tabakpflanzen herstellen. Die Tabakpflanze wird bereits in südafrika angebaut und der co2-ausstoß soll dadurch künftig weiter reduziert werden.

Im Jahr 2011 wurden Bio-Kraftstoffe zugelassen und viele airlines setzten auf mehr als 1.500 flügen Bio-Kerosin ein und die emissionen wurden um 50- 80 % gesenkt.

die fluglinie south african airways und der niederländische Bio-treibstoffproduzent skynrG planen zusammen mit Boeing die Herstellung eines Bio-Treibstoffes aus Tabakpflanzen. Anfang August gaben die Unternehmen ihre Zusammen-arbeit bekannt. die nikotinfreie hybrid-tabakfplanze „solaris“ werde in südafrika bereits angebaut. Geplant ist zunächst aus dem brauchbaren Samen Bio-Treibstoff zu gewinnen und später soll aus den anderen Bestandteilen der Pflanze sauberer Kraftstoff erzeugt werden. die reduzierung von klimaschädlichen Kohlenstoffdioxid ist das Ziel der Unternehmen.

das neue musical „das Wunder von Bern“ hat im november 2014 in ham-burg seine Weltprämiere. das musical spielt im Jahr der fußballweltmeister-schaft 1954. das musical handelt von einer vater-sohn-Geschichte, einer Familie die zusammenfindet und ei-ner mannschaft, die den Wm-titel für deutschland holt. Im Zentrum steht ein kleiner Junge, der auf der suche nach einem Helden seinen Vater findet.

Pünktlich zum Wechsel der direktoren findet eine große Gala in der Pariser oper statt. dort brilliert eine bisher un-bekannte sängerin: christine daaé. Zur selben Zeit findet man die Leiche des Bühnenarbeiters Joseph Buquet. die Ballettmädchen mutmaßen, dass dies die tat des Phantoms der oper war, welches seit geraumer Zeit umgeht.

In dem neuen stage theater im hafen von hamburg wird das musical ab november laufen.

Reiseroute: Toulouse-Montpellier-Nîmes292 km von Toulouse nach Nîmes

toulouse ist eine außergewöhnliche stadt und ist immer wieder überraschend. highlights sind das majestätische Kapitol, stadtresidenzen wie das hôtel d’assézat, Back– und Kalk-steinbauten wie die Basilika saint sernin, das Jakobinerkloster und seine berühmte „Pal-me“, museumssammlungen wie die „skelettwand“, Bootstouren auf der Garonne oder dem canal du midi.

montpelliervon toulouse geht es 224km weiter nach montpellier. den Brunnen auf der berühmten Place de la comédie zieren die Grazien aglaia, euphrosyne und thaleia. highlights in montpellier ist das größte museum in frankreich, und zwar das musée fabre. In dem mu-seum sind regelmäßig austellungen von internationalem rang.

nîmesvon montpellier nach nîmes sind es 55,2km. diese stadt verdankt den römern ein reiches erbe. Zu den Überbleibseln aus dieser Zeit zählen die maison carrée, der tour magne und das majestätische amphitheater. ebenso sehenswert sind der „temple de la modernité“ und das muesum „carré d’art“. ein besonderes highlight ist das amphitheater und jedes Jahr im Sommer finden zahlreiche Konzerte statt.

Oktober 2014 Meydan Dubai am freitag den 31. oktober 2014 startet in dubai die erste outdoor edition der sensation „source of light“. dieses mal wird der meydan racecourse umge-wandelt in eine weiße oase, in der sich 15.000 menschen, nur in weiß gekleidet, versammeln, um die spektakulären showelemente, entertainment acts und das line up aus star dJ‘s feiern zu können.

mr. White, hard rock sofa, roger sanchez, martin Garrix und viele weitere super dJ‘s sind in diesem Jahr das line up der sensation „source of light“ in dubai.

Dubai International Film Festival 2014 Von Mittwoch 10. Dezember bis Mittwoch 17. Dezember findet in Dubai das 11. Internati-onal film festival 2014 statt.

das film festival ist eine feier für filme und insbesondere für die besten und einmaligen filme aus der ganzen Welt. das event lockte im letzten Jahr schauspieler wie cate Blan-chett, martin sheen, marc ruffalo, rooney mara, andy serkis und Zac efron auf den roten teppich. die Gäste für dieses Jahr werden bald bekannt gegeben. das film festival ist das meist angesehenste und heiß erwartete event in dubai und bringt ruhm und film zu den Bewohnern.

The Color Run- Dubai Autodrom

Am Samstag den 29. November 2014 findet in Dubai zum zweiten mal der „the color run“ statt.

den „color run“ gibt es erst seit zwei Jahren, ist aber heute eines der angese-hensten veranstaltungen auf der ganzen Welt.der 5 km lauf beginnt im dubai autodrome und es können, vom anfänger bis Profi, an dem Lauf teilnehmen. Alle 15 bis 20 min. erlebt man eine Farb-explosion.

Deutscher Abend

Am 09. Oktober 2014 findet das nächste Monatsmotto zum Thema Deutschland statt, geplant und organisiert von unserem Botschafter Justin.

Um 18:00 Uhr startet die führung im völkerkunde museum statt. die führung wird auf englisch gehalten und führt uns durch die höhepunkte des museums, welche uns einen Überblick über die weltumfassende kulturelle vielfalt bietet.

Im anschluss daran laufen wir gemütlich zum hofbräuhaus, wo wir um ca. 19:30 Uhr erwartet werden und die (süd-)deutsche feierkultur erleben.

BPOut auf der Jobaktiv Messe

In diesem Jahr werden wir vom 19.11.-20.11.2014 wieder zu den ausstellern der der Jobaktivmesse, der messe für akademiker in hamburg, gehören. als einzi-ges der sieben der luftfahrt vertretenden Unternehmen sind wir nun schon zum dritten mal auf der Jobaktiv messe vertreten.

aussteller und Besucher bekommen an diesen tagen die Gelegenheit sich über trends in der arbeitswelt und den Industrien auszutauschen, wertvolle Kontak-te zu arbeitgebern und high Professionals zu knüpfen und sich gegenseitig zu informieren.

Bonus for Health

seit Januar diesen Jahres läuft unser Bonus for health Programm. Jeder BPouti hat am anfang des Jahres einen Bonus von 600 euro, den er zu seinem Gehalt am ende des Jahres erhält, wenn dieser es schafft sich möglichst gesund zu hal-ten. Bei Krankheit wird der Bonus um 50 euro pro Krankheitstag reduziert. stand august werden am ende dieses Jahres insgesamt 40 BPoutis einen Bonus ausbezahlt bekommen mit einer Gesamtausschüttung von 19.200 €.neben dem B4h Programm bezuschussen wir eure sportlichen aktivitäten mit einem Zuschuss von 60 euro für eine Jahresmitgliedschaft. der Betrag wird euch am ende des Jahres überwiesen.also ran an den speck. Englisch Kurs

Nach dem erfolgreichen Start unseres Deutsch Kurses findet nun seit dem 17. september ein englisch Kurs statt.

Um den mitarbeitern bei der verbesserung ihres englischen sprachniveaus zu helfen, findet der Kurs 1x in der Woche je 120 min. in denselben Räumlichkei-ten wie der deutsch Kurs statt. Geleitet von einem erfahrenen englischlehrer werden Inhalte wie alltägliche Gespräche und technische Inhalte vermittelt, um schon bald ein erstes Zertifikat zu erhalten.Indes hat sich bereits eine erste Gruppe der deutschkursteilnehmer für die a1-Prüfung im oktober angemeldet; danach geht es nahtlos weiter, um im nächsten Jahr das a2 niveau zu erreichen!

Trainee Programm

Wir möchten euch unser neues trainee Programm vorstellen, mit dem wir junge talente und frische absolventen fördern und optimal auf den Berufseinstieg vorbereiten möchten. durch gezielte maßnahmen und schulungen sollen unter anderem folgende skills gestärkt und ausgebaut werden:

Kommunikation, Präsentation und Problemlösung:

• Durch regelmäßige Präsentationen an den Mentor und den Kunden soll über den Projektstatus und Fortschritt im Job be-richtet werden, welche schwierigkeiten noch existieren und was man dagegen tut bzw. wo noch hilfe benötigt wird.• Excel: Es folgen Schulungen und Tests für die Anfertigung eines vorgefertigten Excelblatts mit Diagrammen, Makros, Pivot tabellen, s-verweisen und Wenn-dann analaysen.• Die Teilnahme an Meetings, Verfassen von MoM‘s und bei Bedarf auch Halten von Präsentationen soll praktisch erlernt werden, wie meetings richtig moderiert werden und was effektive meetings ausmacht• Fachwissen über Flugzeugbau und Prozesse (unterstützt durch Schulungen)

die trainees werden von einem mentor betreut. Zu den aufgaben des mentors gehört die Beantwortung von fachlichen und projektbezogenen fragen; sie bilden die schnittstelle zwischen team und trainee sowie zwischen Kunden und trainee. der mentor soll den trainee begleiten und wertvolles Wissen vermitteln. ebenso dient der mentor als ansprechpartner in Finkenwerder. In den ersten zwei Wochen finden tägliche Treffen von 30 min. täglich statt, ab der dritten Woche pro Woche 1 std., um schrittweise eine Unabhängigkeit und selbstständigkeit zu erreichen.

Im Oktober/ November findet eine „Electrical Overview“ Schulung unter Lei-tung unseres neuen mitarbeiters martijn statt. er vermittelt anderen teammit-gliedern einen einblick und Basiswissen der elektrik.

17Rückblick

das diesjährige sommerfest stand im Zeichen „shippern auf der alster“. am 08. august trafen wir uns bei der Bootsvermietung dornheim Gmbh zur Kanue rallye und anschließendem schmaus im restaurant zur Gondel.

nach einem kurzen Plausch mit den Kollegen startete die Kanue rallye am Kaemmererufer. verteilt auf 8 Kanus ging die rallye los und bei ein, zwei Boo-ten kam es schon zu startschwierigkeiten. Um wieder zurück zum Bootsverleih zu finden, mussten die Kanuten ca. 40 Fragen beantworten, die sie auf der Als-ter entlang führten. Häufig war dies sehr schwierig, denn manche mussten sich darauf konzentrieren das Kanu in einer linie zu halten, um nicht Zick Zack über die alster zu fahren. ein Boot musste dann aufgrund eines Unfalls mit dem Brombeerbusch leider wieder vorzeitig zum Bootsverleih zurück fahren. trotz des schocks sind die Kanuten des „Brombeerbootes“ einigermaßen heil ange-kommen und erheiterten später die anderen teamkollegen mit der Geschichte.

nach ca. 1,5 std. erreichte das erste Kanu sein Ziel und weitere folgten. nach der erfolgreichen Kanu rallye waren alle sehr hungrig und erfreuten sich an dem le-ckeren Buffet mit fleisch vom Grill. Während des essens trafen dann die nach-zügler der rallye ein, denn diese haben die Karte verloren und brauchten etwas länger als die geplanten 1,5 stunden, um zum Bootsverleih zurück zukehren.

Wir möchten uns herzlich bei euch allen für diesen witzigen abend auf Wasser bedanken und freuen uns auf das nächste event!

Reisebericht aus Istanbul -Levent-

Istanbul ist die wohl gegensätzlichste stadt der türkei. Im nordwesten der türkei gelegen bildet sie nicht nur die bevölkerungsreichste stadt des landes, sondern auch ein wichtiges Zentrum der Wirtschaft, des handels und der medien. auf der einen seite ist Istanbul sehr europäisch und modern und auf der anderen seite streng religiös und reich an historischen und kulturellen Besonderheiten.

Offiziell bewohnen rund 13 Millionen menschen die metropole am Bosporus, es heißt jedoch, dass die faszination für diese stadt so groß sei, dass tagtäg-lich so viele menschen hinzuziehen, dass die Einwohnerzahl inoffiziell be-reits bei rund 20 millionen liegt. Ich kann diese faszination teilen, denn an meine reise nach Istanbul erinnere ich mich immer wieder gerne zurück.

In Istanbul beziehungsweise in der nähe von Istanbul liegen zwei flug-häfen, der etwas nähere atatürk flug-hafen auf der europäischen und der sabiha Gökcen flughafen auf der asia-tischen seite von Istanbul. von beiden flughäfen kommt man mit öffentlichen verkehrsmitteln ins Zentrum der stadt. anstatt eines der vielen taxis zu neh-men, empfehle ich auf die metro oder auf Busse umzusteigen. mit diesen kommen Reisende häufig stressfreier und günstiger ans Ziel. vom sabiha

Gökcen flughafen, welcher vorrangig von Billigfluglinien angeflogen wird, kommt man beispielsweise innerhalb einer dreiviertel stunde für nur wenige euro mitten in die stadt auf den tak-sim Platz. hierbei überfährt man zu-dem die legendäre Bosporus Brücke, die einen unglaublichen Blick über den Bosporus und die skyline von Istanbul preisgibt. allein das lohnt sich schon.

Unterkünfte gibt es in Istanbul zuhauf. Je nach Preislage können reisende im hostel oder in einem fünf-sterne-lu-xushotel übernachten. Ich empfehle je-doch, rechtzeitig im vorfeld die Über-nachtung zu buchen, da die nachfrage in der stadt der Gegensätze sehr hoch ist. Es empfiehlt sich zudem darauf zu achten, dass man zentrumsnah wohnt. denn nicht alle randviertel der metro-pole sind für touristen sicher. Zudem erspart man sich lange und anstrengen-de fahrtwege.

der verkehr ist in Istanbul nämlich au-ßergewöhnlich stressig. da kommt das südländische temperament durch. Wer eine reise nach Istanbul macht, muss unbedingt in ein kleines Bistro oder lokal einkehren. denn die besten und frischesten Pitabrote belegt mit Gemüse oder fleisch gibt es nun mal in den urigen Bistros abseits der no-belrestaurants. die lebensmittelpreise bewegen sich zwar mittlerweile auf europäischen standard, doch wer auf märkten gut handeln kann, der kann besonders bei den vielen frischen und regionalen Produkten Geld sparen. Ganz wichtig: unbedingt frisch gegrill-ten fisch am hafen essen, der ist näm-lich richtig lecker!

Insider-Tipps

neben den berühmten und bedeuten-den sehenswürdigkeiten von Istanbul, wie die hagia sophia, der topkapi Pa-last oder der Galataturm gibt es in der metropole Istanbul noch viel mehr zu entdecken. Besonders abseits der tou-ristischen sensationen lassen sich tolle kleine Geschäfte, kulturelle Besonder-heiten und bezaubernde Plätze finden. Wer sich mal richtig etwas gönnen möchte, der sollte sich unbedingt ein paar stunden Zeit nehmen und in ein türkisches hamam gehen. empfehlen kann ich das cagaloglu hamam. da fühlt man sich wirklich wie in einem traum von 1001 nacht!

doch achtung, in den öffentlichen hamams werden frauen und männer getrennt. nicht unbedingt für Paare zu empfehlen.

Besonders schön ist auch der Baklava laden in der dümen strasse kurz vorm hafen. Bei der riesigen auswahl an süßspeisen und den gemütlichen sitz-gelegenheiten kommt man sich vor wie im schlaraffenland. Genießen kann man auch den ausblick aus der roof Bar in Bilsak 5. Im sommer ist die ter-rasse bereits ab mittags gut gefüllt und bei drinks und musik kommen junge Istanbuler entspannt zusammen.

ein wahres erlebnis ist auch der Grand Bazar im stadtteil Beyazit.

endlos lange und verschlungene Gänge mit kleinen läden für stoffe und taschen machen den größten Basar in Istanbul zu einem echten shoppingparadies. am besten bestellt man sich einen typischen cay tee und beobachtet das treiben. feste Preise gibt es hier kaum, sodass man hier das feilschen perfektionieren kann. schöne Plätze und straßen gibt es in Istanbul viele. doch besonders toll ist die französische straße im stadtteil Beyoglu. hier können reisende in kleinen niedlichen cafés pausieren, in antiquitätenläden stöbern oder sich in den Bistros und Patisserien so richtig gut gehen lassen.

Apropos, unbedingt ein Mitbringsel kaufen. Denn so bleibt die Reise nach Istanbul noch unvergesslicher! ;-)

9 Tipps für das gesunde Essen im Büro:

Tipp 1: Gute Planungvor Wochenbeginn überlegen, wie die mittagspause verbracht werden soll. an drei von fünf tagen kann das essen von zu hause mitgebracht werden. die restlichen mittagspausen können mit teamkollegen in z.B. asia restaurants oder salat Bars verbracht werden.

Tipp 2: Grün ist TrumpfUm das Kalorienkonto so wenig wie möglich zu belasten, sind Gemüse, obst, salate und Kräuter ein großer Bestandteil der täglichen nahrung. tipp: Paprika, Gurke, möhre, apfel, avocado schneiden und mit ins Büro nehmen. dazu einfach einen dip.

Tipp 3: Was fürs Hirndamit unsere Konzentrationsfähigkeit über stunden konstant gehalten werden kann, brauchen wir einen stabilen Blut-zuckerspiegel. dazu gehören vollkornbrot, -pasta, -reis und Kartoffeln. laut studien liefern lebensmittel wie mageres fleisch, fisch und hülsenfrüchte sättigendes eiweiß, welches Insulinspiegelschwankungen vorbeugt. finger weg von Zu-cker, Weißmehlprodukten, Knabberkram und limonade.

Tipp 5: Fett, nein Danke!Um fettiges essen zu verdauen, benötigt der Körper viel mehr energie als bei leichter Kost. ein weiterer unschöner ne-beneffekt ist, dass zu hohe Kalorienmengen von vielsitzern nicht verbraucht werden und im fettgewebe landen. also fin-ger weg von currywurst, frittiertem, sahnigem und käsig Überbackenen.

Tipp 6: Frühstück siegteine gute Grundlage, um in den tag zu starten, ist ein müsli oder vollkornbrot mit leichtem Belag. die anderen mahlzeiten am tag dienen dazu unsere leistungskurse des stoffwechsels aufrecht zu erhalten. (trocken-) obst, Gemüse, reiscracker oder eine kleine Portion nüsse sind gute snacks für zwischendurch.

Tipp 7: Meeting LightBei Geschäftsessen vergisst man häufig die gesunden Vorsätze. Menüs und Buffets sollten gemieden werden, da man meist über den eigenen appetit hinaus isst. auch extras wie z.B. eine scheibe Baguette mit Kräuterbutter haben mehr Kalorien als man denkt. Insbesondere saucen, hollandaise, Béchamel oder sahnesauce strotzen vor fett und auch desserts mit sah-ne wie mascarpone, eis und mousse sind Kalorienbomben.

Tipp 8: Do it YourselfZu hause Gerichte vorzubereiten oder in der Büroküche mit den Kollegen zu kochen, ist die beste alternative zu restau-rants. salate, Brote und Wraps lassen sich ebenfalls gut zu hause vorbereiten und nehmen nicht viel Zeit in anspruch.

Im hektischen alltag fällt gesundes essen schwer. viele deutsche essen täglich doppelt so viel fett wie ihnen eigentlich gut tut. ein paar kleine veränderungen und schon klappt es, sich vor allem im Büro gesund und aus-gewogen zu ernähren.

Tipp 9: Vorsätze einhaltendamit die tipps nicht nur in die tat umgesetzt werden, sondern auch eingehalten werden, ist die eigene motivation sehr wichtig. Im team mit Kollegen lassen sich die tipps und die gesunde er-nährung im Büro am besten und einfachsten umsetzen. die ge-genseitige motivation und der ansporn durch das team lassen die guten vorsätze zur Gewohnheit werden.

Sandwich mit Tomate Mozarellafür 1 Portion:

Zutaten:1 vollkorn- ciabattabrötchen (ca. 80 g), 1/2 Päckchen (light)- mozzarella (ca.60 g), 1 tomate in scheiben, 2 tl Pesto (Glas), einige rucolablättchen, Pfeffer

Zubereitung:das Brötchen längs halbieren. abgetropften mozzarella in scheiben schneiden. die untere Brötchenhälfte mit 1 tl Pesto bestreichen und mit etwas rucola bele-gen. mozzarella und tomaten darauf verteilen. mit restlichem Pesto bestreichen, mit rucola garnieren. leicht pfeffern. obere Brötchenhälfte darauf legen. Zum mitnehmen in frischhaltefolie einwickeln und in eine snackbox geben.Pro Portion: Etwa 370 kcal, 20 g Eiweiß, 16 g Fett und 34 g Kohlenhydrate

Hühnchen- Feta Wrapfür 2 stück

Zutaten:75 g Hähnchenbrustfilet in Streifen, 2 TL Olivenöl, Salz, Pfeffer, rosenscharfes Paprikapulver, 1/2 gelbe Paprikaschote in streifen, 4 halbierte Kirschtomaten, 1 Zehe zerdrückter Knoblauch (nach Belieben), 1 frühlingszwiebel in feinen ringen, 4 champignons in scheiben, 50 g schafskäse (feta), 2 feste salatblätter, 2 Weizentortillas (fertigprodukt)

Zubereitung:filet in 1 tl heißem Öl von jeder seite braten, würzen, aus der Pfanne nehmen. restliches Öl in der Pfanne erhitzen. Zwiebel mit Pilzen und Paprika darin bra-ten, Knoblauch und tomate kurz mitbraten. Würzen. tortillas evtl. kurz erwär-men, damit sie sich leichter rollen lassen. Gemüse, huhn und zerbröckelten feta darauf verteilen. mit salat belegen. alles fest zusammenrollen. Zum mitnehmen in frischhaltefolie wickeln und in eine snackbox packen. Im Büro kalt stellen.Pro Stück: Etwa 220 kcal, 15 g Eiweiß, 11 g Fett und 12 g Kohlenhydrate.

Fladenbrot mit Paprika und Chili-Joghurt-Dressing Rezeptfür 2 Portionen

Zutaten:150 g fettarmer Joghurt, Salz, Pfeffer, 1 EL Zitronensaft, Chiliflocken, 1 rote Paprikaschote, 1 lauchzwiebel, 75 g rucola, 50 g schwarze oliven ohne stein, 2 sandwich- toast- taschen, 75 g Putenbrust- aufschnitt in dünnen scheiben

Zutaten:12 ½ Gramm Pinienkerne, 75 Gramm rucola, 250 Gramm tomaten, ½ (Bio)- Zitrone, ½ große avocado, ½ el olivenöl, ½ tl Zucker, salz, frisch gemahle-ner Pfeffer, ½ Bund Petersilie

Zubereitung:Pinienkerne in einer Pfanne ohne fett leicht anrösten, abkühlen lassen. den rucola putzen, abspülen, trocken schleudern und grob hacken, auf eine Platte geben. tomaten waschen und in scheiben schneiden. die Zitrone heiß abspü-len, schale abreiben und den saft auspressen. die avocado halbieren, den stein entfernen und das Fruchtfleisch in Spalten schneiden, mit 2 EL Zitronensaft mischen. tomaten und avocado auf dem rucola anrichten. restlichen Zitro-nensaft mit olivenöl, Zucker, salz und Pfeffer verschlagen und über den salat geben. Petersilie abspülen, trocken schütteln und die Blätter abzupfen, grob ha-cken und mit Zitronenschale und grob gehackten Pinienkernen mischen, über den salat streuen. fertig in: 15 minuten.Pro Portion: 225 kcal, 18g Fett, 11g Kohlenhydrate, 4g Eiweiß

Zubereitung:1. Für die Soße Joghurt glatt rühren, mit Salz, Pfeffer, Zitronensaft und Chiliflo-cken würzen. Alljährlich findet in München auf der Wiesn das weltberühmte Oktober-fest statt. aus aller Welt strömen die menschen in die stadt, um enge le-derhosen und dirndl zu tragen und Bier aus 1l Krügen zu trinken.

Ein paar kuriose Fakten zum Fest:

• Im Jahre 1896 arbeitete Albert Einstein als Hilfsarbeiter beim Aufbau im schottenhamel-festzelt.• In der Regel wird das „Wiesngeld“ zwischen 15 und 30 Euro in Mün-chener Betrieben ausgezahlt. Bremen- Es war ein mal ...

die 4 Bremer ... die nie in Bremen waren. Jeder kennt das märchen der Gebrüder Grimm von den Bremer stadtmusikanten und hat direkt das Bild von hahn, Katze, hund und esel vor augen. die vier musikalischen Tiere erreichten die Stadt nie. Laut Märchen finden sie bereits auf dem Weg nach Bremen ein räuberhaus. nachdem sie die räuber verjagt ha-ben, verbringen sie dort den rest ihres lebens.

Berlin- Die Brückenmetropole

Berlin ist die hauptstadt von deutschland und hat mehr als 3 mio. ein-wohner. menschen, mode, Politik, Kultur, nachtleben und Brücken zeich-nen diese metropole aus.Brücken fragt man sich... Ja, denn Berlin ist umzingelt von Wasser und offiziell gibt es über 900 Brücken auf dem Weg von A nach B. Andere Zählungen kommen auf über 2000. Im vergleich dazu, in venedig sind es weniger als 500.

Hamburg- Ältester Flughafen Deutschlands

1911 wurde deutschlands erster flughafen eingeweiht. es war der flug-hafen in hamburg fuhlsbüttel. der airport hamburg ist heute einer der modernsten flughäfen der Welt und tag für tag strömen rund 35.000 Pas-sagiere durch die terminals, das sind über 12 mio. menschen im Jahr. der flughafen ist für bis zu 16 mio. Passagiere ausgelegt und über fünf-zig flugzeuge können gleichzeitig abgefertigt werden. die beiden sich kreuzenden start– und landebahnen lassen 48 starts und landungen pro stunde zu. der airport ist damit der fünftgrößte flughafen deutschlands.

Überall auf der Welt erkennen sich echte aachener gegenseitig. Zumin-dest war das einst so und zwar mit dem „Klenkes“. aachen war bekannt für seine nadelindustrie. arbeiter sortierten die nadeln mit dem kleinen finger und oft übernahmen Kinder diese aufgabe und trugen fehlent-wicklungen davon. diese kennzeichneten sie als aachener. heute gilt auch noch der emporgereckte finger als aachener Gruß.

Köln- Der kölsche Köbes

Wenn man zum ersten mal ein Bier in Köln trinkt, stößt es einem viel-leicht sauer auf, wenn man an den richtigen Kellner gerät. der kölsche Köbes ist bekannt dafür noch einen deftigen spruch zum Bier zu servie-ren. Häufig auf Kosten des Gastes. Die Form der Gastfreundlichkeit ist in Köln Brauch und nach ein paar Bier mehr hat man sich daran gewöhnt.

der mythos sagt, dass der Köbes nach den Pilgern benannt ist, die auf dem Weg zum Grab des heiligen Jacobus in der stadt halt machten. da-mit sie sich die Weiterreise finanzieren konnten arbeiteten diese oft in Kneipen und unterhielten die Gäste mit ihren Geschichten.

Frankfurt- Mobilität pur!

frankfurt ist nicht nur bekannt als Börsenstadt deutschlands sondern auch durch den internationalen fraport.der frankfurter flughafen ist sehr groß.

„to be or not to be!“Um Bielefeld rankt sich eine verschwörungstheorie, denn laut ihrer an-hänger gibt es diese stadt gar nicht. die menschheit zweifelt seit 1994 die existenz der stadt Bielefeld an. manche vermuten die cIa, andere außerirdische, die hinter diesem Komplott stecken. es gibt mehrere fil-me und viele artikel die über den mythos Bielefeld berichten.

das 800- jährige Bestehen in 2014 feiert man unter dem motto:„Das gibt’s doch gar nicht!“.

In deutschland gibt es 39 denkmäler, die auf der Welterbeliste der Unesco verzeichnet sind. Im Jahr 1972 wurde eine Konvention der Unesco verabschiedet. die Konvention hat festgelegte Kriterien, die bestimmen, welche denkmäler in die liste des Welterbes aufgenommen werden. dazu gehört die „einzigartigkeit“, „authentizität“ (bei Kulturstätten) und „Integrität“ (bei naturstätten) der denkmäler. ebenso wichtig ist außerdem, dass ein überzeugender erhaltungsplan vor-liegt.

Wattenmeer

das Wattenmeer wurde am 29. Juni 2009 als grenzüberschreitende Welt-naturerbstätte anerkannt. eine außergewöhnlich große artenvielfalt, die ökologische und geomorphologische Bedeutung des Wattenmeeres wa-ren ausschlaggebend für die aufnahme in die Unesco-Welterbeliste.

Grube Messel

die Grube messel wurde im dezember 1995 als erstes deutsches natur-denkmal in die liste des Welterbes aufgenommen. die fossillagerstätte liegt bei darmstadt und gibt aufschluss über die frühere evolution der säugetiere, denn hier wird die entwicklungsgeschichte der erde vor 49 millionen Jahren dokumentiert. In dem Ölschiefer der Grube sind fossi-lien von Lebewesen zu finden, die in der Zeit „Eozän“ (57 bis 36 Millio-nen Jahre v. chr.) gelebt haben.

Siedlungen der Berliner Moderne

Im Juli 2008 wurden die siedlungen der Berliner moderne in die liste des Welterbes aufgenommen. es gibt sechs denkmalgeschützte siedlun-gen, die einen neuen typus des sozialen Wohnungsbaus aus der Zeit der klassischen moderne repräsentieren. folgende Wohnhaussiedlungen re-präsentieren die Berliner moderne: die Gartenstadt falkenberg, die sied-lung schillerpark, die Großsiedlung Britz, die Wohnstadt carl legien, die Weiße stadt und die Großsiedlung siemensstadt.

meanwhile, the organisation of the a350 esI team is as good as done and all its team members, among whom there are many BPoutis, can concentrate on their tasks.

the future of the a380 projects depends on how the orders will be realized, especially in the next year for the planned hovs, and which new orders for which period of time are planned for the de-velopment of the aircraft. But in the next year there will be definitely more to do (2014:1 HoVs) and the restructuring will create more tasks in the a380 program.

I would be very happy to see a lot of you at Justin’s German motto evening and at the „stammtisch“, so that we will all meet again and can discuss further details of the future and upcoming projects and of course to enjoy the great supporting pro-gram altogether.Best regards,

The negative incidents are related to the situation of many Airbus suppliers that are forced to lay-off part of their work-force, slowly withdraw from the Airbus business or to make financial adjustments. We, too, are not spared but we try to cushion the effects as carefully as possible so the majority of the team is not at all or just mildly affected by the changes.

Good news is that in the future we will intensify our activities in the field of products manufacturing for aircraft cabin. In this scope we will deal with many different national and international custo-mers and airlines and open up completely new markets.furthermore, our activities in south Germany will expand, as big systems suppliers and manufacturers of small aircrafts are based there.

I will provide you more detailed information and details of the exact products, customers and our arising opportunities at the upcoming „Stammtisch”.

In the next year 2015 the developments of our current projects/programs will considerably be characterized by two develop-ments:

We will try to become part of the may new projects that will be launched due to the cost reduction politics and the chances are good since our position stayed strong and stable, especially on the optimization and project management topics.

Eventually, last week the great news of type certification by EASA came and the certification by the US FAA is expected to follow in the following weeks.

our team is still working on the -900 and -1000 projects. In addition to this, the enabling Platform has been intro-duced that shall allow the installation of all standard and optional cabin & systems items, which are included in the Offerability Specification and cata-logue requests. the main goal is to pro-tect the platform from changes driven by customization. the platform covers all standard a/c interfaces to cabin installation and all cabin and system architectures protecting full flexibility.

furthermore there are two more ten-ders. The first tender deals with weight

In the middle of August the Airbus A350-Prototype MSN5 has concluded its test flights. The flight-testing has been completed within 14 months and the five A350-MSN’s were 2.500 hours in the air in total.

currently there are many ru-mours that at least one new head of version (hov) will come next year. the internal reorganization of airbus also means a positive develop-ment for us, because we will expect more orders and thus stabilize our po-sition.

furthermore our a380 team moved to another building and so far everything went smoothly: the atmosphere is plea-sant and there have been no negative effects on the daily business.

a 330 neo- Program, airbus a330

finally the decision in favour of the a330 neo Program has been made! the new version shall be available from 2017 onwards and a lot of costumers have already registered circa 100 orders, the leasing company „air lease corporation“ as one of the very first.

the a330 neo will come with many updates, such as weight reduction, new engines, led lights and other things. that way, an old lady becomes a mo-dern, efficient aircraft. The wing spa-ne will be expanded to 3,7 metres and the winglets and win tips will be built with new composite material. the rest consists of aluminium, exactly as the current models. another improvement is the size of the seats (46cm.): in the a330-800 neo there will be space for 252 seats and in the a330-900 even for 310.

We are in the process to offer support to our customer, to contribute to the neo and support this program with our en-gineering knowledge and management skills. shortly after the announcement of neo-option, 100 orders have been made, which confirms the expectations on the aircraft and its future success. this means a lot of work and exciting challenges for all team members and we hope to be part of it.

In this program we are current-ly involved in two projects. the goal of the first one is to speed up the Budget-planning process and to in-crease the transparency. as well, and especially by commissioning external work packages, changes shall be more transparent and hence easier to plan. for this purpose a „Quick Win“ was created that describes both the process of planning (in accordance with „sup-plier-Input Processstep-output-costu-

In the middle of September our team had a Kick-off for DISTINC-T Deployment in Stade, the second airbus plant that relies on DISTINC-T. Even if Stade is a fairly small plant, this is a first stage win. Our Team assumes that DISTINC-T will be established in st. nazaire and toulouse, as well. at the moment the implementation is being reviewed on the esB change Platform.

Currently the improvements are a question of finances. Despite that our team is very confident that the tool will become even more widespread and that the deployment will proceed with bigger and bigger steps.

Plant Engineeringthe new tool of the development team continues to enjoy a very high recognition and gets a lot of posi-tive feedback from various directions.

Dubai activities

Another subproject was implemented in the last two months with only two weeks delay. now there are more challenges because the airport has problems with the Bagga-ge handling system. Pieces of luggage remain on the routes and it is not clear why the Bhs has already reached its limits.

hence, another key objective for the coming months will be the elimination of all malfunctions and to have a Bhs which works within the range of its full capacity without any trou-bles for the passengers before christmas.

The teams in Dubai continue to give their best efforts to reach the milestones! The first milestone, the handover of the first sub-project, is not quite fulfilled but the teams there work hard to reach it in the next weeks.

Aircraft manufacturers like Airbusgive their best to optimize aerody-namics in order to meet the requi-rements of aviation and airlines.In order for the pilots to have a wide view the cockpit windows have to be big and also they must be very robust. however, this means that the windows take away the space that could be used for more passenger seats instead. therefore airbus concludes that cock-pit window have to be replaced by high-resolution screens which enable the pilots to navigate the aircraft.that way, the cockpit does not need to be located in the aircraft nose but the space can rather be divided different-ly and the cockpit can easily be placed somewhere else, e.g. in the tail fin or in the cargo compartment. or, if the cockpit shall stay in the aircraft nose, the windows can be made smaller and partially replaced by screens.

according to airbus’s patent applica-tion the efficiency and safety would increase because the high-resolution screens would show the pilot a better and more complete picture. as part of this concept, airbus considers the use of hologram technolgy, for example to fly around three-dimensional thun-derclouds.

In accordance to the patent application the se-ats will be attached vertically on a rod. according to airbus, in the future pilots should operate from a windowless cockpit. the Usa Patent authority announced the application by airbus to secure this idea on 26 June.

Golden month July for Airbus and Boeing!

the farnborough airshow has given an additional boost to both airbus and Boeing. Airbus received 130 new firm orders and 980 aircrafts have been sold and shall be delivered this year.

this year airbus and Boeing reached incoming orders in the four-digit range. British airways ordered twenty, and all nippon airways 30 a320-neos. One month prior to the proposed first flight of the prototypes the program had over 3,250 firm orders. Air Asia wants to order fifty A330 neo with the new trent 7000-drive made by rolls royce. these will be available in the end of 2017.

By the end of July, Boeing was ahead of airbus with 400 delivered aircrafts. among the 58 delivered Jets by July was also the 500th 777-300er, which flies for Emirates. In the past seven months 352 aircrafts left the assembly plants and in July emirates collected their 50th a380 in hamburg.

an a350 test machine has succesfully flown with a cabin component pron-ted with a 3d-printer. In 2016 airbus wants to use this technique for series production.

For the first time ever, an A350 MSN5 test machine was in the air with a com-ponent made by using a completely new technology. The flexible brackets of cabin components were made lay-er by layer from titanium powder in a printer with design software and its electronical construction plans as a ba-sis.

the 3d-Print production is not only cost-effective and faster but there is

also no surplus material. this means, that during printing only the necessary amount of material is used. further advantages are for example the better energy efficiency, the building materials are much lighter and the aircraft manufacturers can save storage space.

the „additive layer manufacturing“-technic (alm) made a weight reduction of 30% possible. The A350 Component met all functional and specification re-quirements of a conventionally produced component.

From the beginning of August 2016 Airbus plans to install the first standard titan support in commercial aircrafts, produced with a 3D printer.

according to airbus, it is probable that in early 2018 passen-gers will be transported by first Jets with additive produced chassis components. airbus has made an agreement with the public chinese northwestern Polytechnical University (nPU), as they plan to produce even bigger components with the new printing technology.

In future the machines will be much lighter, the aircraft manufacturers hope half as heavy. This means more pas-sengers on board while using the same amount of fuel.

In the future, Boeing plants to produce Bio-Kerosene from tobacco plants, in order to reduce the co2 emissions.

the south african airways airline and a netherlands’ Bio fuel producer plan the production of a Bio fuel from tobacco plants in close collaboration with Boeing. the companies announced their cooperation in the begin of august. the nico-tine-free hybrid tobacco plant called „Solaris“ is cultivated in South Africa. At first, they plan to win Bio-fuel from useful seeds and later to produce clean fuel from other parts of the plant. the objective of the company is to reduce the climate-da-maging carbon dioxide.

In november 2014 the new musical „das Wunder von Bern“ will cele-brate its world premiere in hamburg. the story takes us back to the football World cup in 1954. the musical is a father-son story, a family that reunties when the German national football team wins the World cup. especially heart-warming: a young boy, in search of a hero, will find his father.

nîmesthe distance from montpellier to nîmes is 55,2 km. this town owes its heritage to the ancient romans, as can be seen in the maison carrée, the tour magne or the majestic am-phitheatre, where many open air concerts take place in the summer. also worth seeing are sites such as the temple de la modernité and the museum carré d’art.

The Color Run- Dubai Autodrom

on saturday 29 november 2014 „the color run“ takes place for the second time in dubai. the color run is one of the world’s largest gatherings and had a humble beginning just two years ago.

the 5 km run will begin on the dubai autotrom and runners of all levels, from beginners to professionals, can take part in the event. every 15 to 20 min. the participants can experience a colour explosion.

our international motto event takes place on 9th october 2014, this time it‘s Germany that will be presented by our ambassador Justin.

the tour starts in the ethnological museum at 18:00h. the guide will give us interesting information and insight in the diversity of the German culture and history in english and lead us through and leads us trough the highlights of the museum.

Bonus for Health

Back in January we launched the Bonus for health program. at the beginning of the year every BPouti has a bonus of 600 euro, which he receives at the end of the year if he is healthy throughout the year. In case of one sick day the bonus is reduced by 50 euro per day of illness. With status of august, at the end of this year a total pay-out of 19.200 euro will be paid off to 40 BPoutis.Besides, as part of the health program we support your sports activities with a grant of 60 euro for an annual membership in any sports club. the amount will be paid out at the end of the year.We’d be happy to see new applications for an annual membership in a sports club or gym.

English course

In addition to the successfully ongoing German course we’ve decided to offer an english course which has started on september 17 .

this year’s summer party motto was „shippern on the alster“. on 8th august we met by the boat rent „dornheim Gmbh“ for a funny canoe rally followed by a feast in the restaurant „Zur Gondel“. the canoe rally started after a short meeting with the colleagues at the „Kaemmererufer“.

after everyone found a team and got onboard of eight canoes, the fun began, although one to two kanues had some difficulties. 40 questions, which accom-panied the canoeists alongside the alster, had to be answered to get back to the boat rent. some canoeists had to concentrate on their canoe to drive in a straight line, instead of a zig zag on the alster, and often it was very difficult to manage. eventually, one boat had to do a u-turn and return back to the boat rent due to an accident with a blackberry tree. despite the shock the blackberry-canoeist’s way back was fairly goof and later they amused us with the story.

After 1,5 hours the first canoe reached the goal and others followed quickly. We all were very hungry after the hard work with the paddles and enjoyed the tasty buffet with barbecued meat, fish & tofu. While eating, the stragglers arrived, who went lost and therefore needed a bit more time and support of GPs and modern technology!

We thank you all for having spent the sunny evening with us and are looking forward to the next BPout event!

Travel Report from Istanbul -Levent-

Istanbul is a city of contrasts. located in north western of turkey it is not only the most populous city in the country but also an important centre of business, trade and media. on one hand Istanbul is very european, on the other it is strictly religious and rich in historic and cultural features.

approximately 13 million people live in the metropolis at Bosporus offici-ally, but the unofficial population is around 20 millions and daily a lot of people arrive in Istanbul because of the fascination of this city. I share this fascination and enjoy looking back and remembering my trips there.

In Istanbul, or in the near of Istanbul, there are two airports. the closer air-port is atatürk airport on the european side and on the other side the sabiha Gökcen airport on the asian side of Istanbul. from both airports you can reach the centre of Istanbul by pub-lic transport. Instead of taking a taxi I recommend to change to metro or busses. travellers reach their destina-tion stress-free and cheaper due to ne-ver-ending jams and traffic chaos.

from sabiha Gökcen airport, which is primarily approached by cheap flight airlines, you will for example reach the taksim square within three quarters of an hour. here you will drive over the legendary Bosporus Bridge, which offers an incredible view over the Bosporus and the skyline of Istanbul. for this view alone, it is worth to visit Istanbul.

there are many accommodations in Istanbul. travellers can spend the night in Hostels or in a five-star luxury hotel depending on the price category. my recommendation is to book the overnight stay in advance because the demand is very high in the city of ext-remes. In addition, it is recommended to ensure that you live near the centre, since not all districts are safe for

tourists. moreover you spare long and exhausting trips through the extraor-dinarily stressful traffic, expression of the southern temperament.

Those who plan a journey to istan-bul, should absolutely visit a small bistro or local. Because the best and freshest Pitas with vegetable or meat can only be found in rustic Bistros a couple of streets away from exclusive restaurants. meanwhile the food prices are on the same level as the european standard but if you can haggle well you can save money especially for fresh and regional products. very important: you simply need to try the grilled fresh fish. That is amazingly delicious.

Besides the famous and known sights of Istanbul, like the hagia sophia, the topkapi Palast or the Galataturm there is a lot more discover in the metropolis Istanbul.

especially away from touristic sensa-tions you will find small shops, cultu-ral features and charming places. tho-se who would like to grant themselves some wellness must visit a traditional turkish hamam.

I can recommend the cagaloglu ha-mam. there you almost feel like you a dream of the arabian nights. But at-tention, in public hamams women and men have separate rooms, so it may not be very recommendable for couples.

especially beautiful is the Baklava shop in the dümen street nearby the harbour. With the huge selection of desserts and comfortable seating you feel like you are in land of milk and ho-ney. also you can enjoy the view from the roof Bar in Bilsak 5. the terrace is well-filled at noon and young peo-ple of Istanbul come together to enjoy drinks and the music.

the Grand Bazar in Beyazit is a special experience. the large Bazar in Istanbul is a real shopping experience because of the endless long and intertwined chains of small shops that trade materials and bags. It would be best if you ordered a typical Cay tea and observe the hustle. There are hardly any fixed prices so you can per-fect your haggling skills. there are a lot of nice places and streets in Istanbul. the french street in Beyoglu, however, is especially beautiful. here travellers can have a break in sweet little cafes, rummage in antique shops or get themselves nice little treats in Bistros and patisseries.

By the way, buy a souvenir, so the journey to Istanbul becomes even more unforgettable! ;)

9 Tips for healthy food in the office

Tip 1: Effective and good Planningat the beginning of the week think about how you want to spend your lunchtime. On three of five days you can bring your food from home. the other lunch breaks can be spent with your colleagues in restaurants, for examp-le asia restaurants or salad Bars.

Tip 2: Green is trumpvegetables, fruits, salads and herbs are a big component to keep down calories. tip: cut Paprika, cucumber, carrots, Apples and Avocados to take to the office. In addition a simple dip of yoghurt or curd.

Preparation:cut the bread, divide longwise in halves. then cut the drained mozzarella in slices. spread lower bottom of the bread with 1 tl Pesto and add some rocket. next spread tomato and mozzarella on it. spread the rest of the Pesto on the tom-moz mix and garnish it with rocket. add a pinch of pepper and put upper bread on the lower half. Wrap with plastic wrap for take away and put it in a snack box.Per portion: About 370 kcal, 20 g protein, 16 g fat and 34 g carbohydrates

Chicken feta wrapfor 2 pieces

Ingredients75 g filet of chicken breast in strips, 2 TL olive oil, salt, pepper, spicy paprika pu-der, ½ yellow paprika in stripes, 4 half cherry tomatos, 1 squased garlic clove (at pleasure), 1 spring onion (in circle’s), 4 mushrooms in slices, 50 g feta (sheep’s cheese),2 leaves of salad, 2 wheat-tortilla

Preparation:roast each side of the seasoned chicken breast with olive oil and remove from the pan when ready. heat up the rest of the olive oil in the pan. roast onions, mushrooms and paprika; garlic and tomatoes only for a short time. season the dish. Warm up tortillas because it will be easier to roll them. Portion out vegetab-les, chicken and feta. Add the salad and roll up together firmly.
