Colenso and Mooi îvor. A ^ ^âdysmith we had o u r meeting i n t h e ailway '-'orapound. Mackson ûtha Ntshangase h as done a real piece o f work f o r t h e Lord, while he hasboen laboring here. But he tells u s that h o i s near t o h i s time o f retirmcnt a n d then h e shall return back to h i s home, ^^ ôoi River i t was raining. We me t i n a build i n g i n t h e country which i s used both as a church a n d a s a school With th e rain on th e t i n roof wo had t o keep just as close together a s we -could a n d then many times i t v;as almost impossible t o hoar V7hat was being said. We spent about three hours studying the No w Testament church and then had o ur preaching service following this On this trip I learned how t o shave i n one cup o f h o t water, Take the shaving brush and rub hand soap on your face first then follow with the shaving soap. Keep your razor h ot and do n ot l e t i f g e t filled with soap, i t v/orks, b u t more water-wokfcs better VJe had a very nice Christmas, though we were n o t able t o meet with t h e churches a s wo h ad planned. I t was thought that some o f t h e trouble from Rondoland t o t h e south might,show up here a t that time and t h e churches asked u s n ot t o come. Brother Stanley took th e treats t o t h e Sunday Schools the following week. The Stanleys came t o our home f o r Christmas Dinner, The ^hristmas olidays hero extended thruthc 27th. W q packed and early on t h e 28th finished some bus; iness i n town, -^hen Vernita an d I along with o u r three oldest an d t h e three older boys o f t he Stanleys left f o r Capetown, Wq had t o camp two nights on t he way down a n d arrived on t h e afternoon o f t h e 30th. Capetown wa s having one o f i t s blows a nd what a ind i t was. You could hardly get the tents p a n d frhen y o u d id y o u were n o t a t l l Buro they were going t o stay -Up..- . ut neither th e wind nor the i rt that g o t into the f.ood..._ d i d a n y thing t o dampen t h e spirits o f the young people wh o were present a n d wo were happy that wo ha d opportunity f o r t h e young folks from here t o g o . êrnita helped with th e cooking f o r t h e first two days along with Pauline Boll o f Mashoka Mission i n Bouthorn Rhodesia, I brought th e Vesper Messages each evening on John 9*4, taught one class on Missions and brought t h e Sunday morning message a t Polo Roada ^n uesday,the 3rd of 'January, we along v/ith t h e Hamil-tôns of Kimberlsy, turned our up t h e Garden ''oute toward Port •'^li abeth and made o u r way just beyond t h e Wilderness where the Missionaries me t ebogether until t h e e n d o f t h e week. The MiUs family was already present and t h e other four families arrived the following day, While some with small children stayed t 1a near b y motel we h a d quite a tent villafe a n d a_ gnnd_ ChriF^t.ma.q party as we exchanged gifts t h e first day. There was time not only f o r planning of t h e work of t h e Mission, b u t time t o enjoy swimmingîn the near by ocean as well. We had a spot of trouble wjÛi the_Vod ksw But fortunately i t came we were near the camp, a n u t carrie Tbosê t h e an d chipped some of the bearings. Because they were s o busy an d could n o t ge t a t i t fo r four days, we were t h e last ones t o leave camp
