NOTEUse a disk grinder, endless abrasive belt, or smoothflat file.

SHARPENING BLADES(As Needed)

NOTEWear gloves to protect hands from sharp blades.

LUBRICATING GEAR HOUSING(Every 15 - 20 Hours of Operation)

1. Clean dirt from grease fitting.

2. Carefully pump grease in fitting. DO NOT forcegrease. Too much pressure will force grease pastseals and cause damage. Apply 1 - 2 pumps ofgrease every 15 - 20 hours of operation.

NOTEUse good quality lithium multi grease.

LUBRICATING BLADES(Every 4 Hours of Operation)

Apply a few drops of oil the four bolt slots at the bottomof blades.

CLEANING SILENCER (CheckPeriodically)

1. Remove exhaust guides and clean deposits fromexhaust pipe.

2. Tighten two bolts.

NOTE

Clogged fins will cause poor engine cooling.

CLEANING CYLINDER FINS (CheckPeriodically)

1. Carefully remove housing and clean dirt and dustfrom fins.

2. Reinstall housing.

ADJUSTING CARBURETTOR(As Required)

WARNING DANGERWHEN CARBURETTOR ADJUSTMENT ISCOMPLETED, BLADES SHOULD NOT MOVE ATIDLE, OTHERWISE SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURYMAY RESULT.

Every unit is test run at the factory and the carburettor isfine tuned for maximum performance.

Before adjusting carburettor, clean or replace air filter, start engine and run several minutes to bring it to operatingtemperature.

CAUTIONWhen starting, idle speed adjuster should beadjusted not to move the blades. When there is some trouble with the carburettor, contact your dealer.

1. Idle Speed Adjustment.Stop engine. Turn low speed needle anticlockwiseuntil it stops.Start engine and turn idle speed adjustment screwclockwise until the blades begin to move, then turnthe screw anticlockwise until the blades stopmoving. Turn screw anticlockwise an additional 1/2turn.
