Herkunft: Leindotter oder Saatdotter ist eine alte Kulturpflanze, deren Ursprung bis in die neolitische

Zeit zurückgeht. Die Blütezeit des Leindotters lag in der Eisenzeit zwischen 400 v. Chr. und 500

v.Chr., in der Anbau und Nutzung des Leindotters allgemein üblich waren. Die Pflanze ist heute von

Origin: Camelina is an ancient crop, whose origins date to the Neolithic period. The heyday of camelina was in

the Iron Age between 400 BC and 500 BC. In this time the cultivation and use of camelina were common. The

plant is now found almost everywhere from Europe to Central Asia and North Africa. (Lutz Roth, Kurt Kor-

Beschreibung der Pflanze: In unseren Breiten ist die Pflanze heute

nahezu in Vergessenheit geraten. Sie zeichnet sich durch eine extrem

kurze Vegetationsperiode von etwa 120 Tagen sowie eine große An-

spruchslosigkeit hinsichtlich Klima- und Bodenbedingungen aus. So-

mit ist es möglich, Leindotter auch auf sandigen oder kalkhaltigen

Boden, auf denen andere Pflanzen nicht gut gedeihen, mit einer ho-

hen Ertragsstabilitat anzubauen. Zudem kann beim Anbau von

Leindotter auf chemischen Pflanzenschutz verzichtet werden, da die

Pflanze gegenüber Schädlingen und Krankheiten offensichtlich resis-

Leindotter ist eine einjährige Pflanze mit einem 30-100 cm hohen

Stängel. Die kleinen Blüten sind blassgelb bis gelb und wachsen in

verlängerten Trauben. Die Früchte sind birnenförmige, 7 – 9 mm lan-

ge Schoten. Sie haben eine harte Schale, die die 1,5 – 2,5 mm langen

Samen schützen. Gleichermaßen wie beim Raps, gibt es auch beim

Camelina is an annual plant, with 30-100 cm tall stalks. The small flowers are pale yellow to yellow and grow in

Ölgewinnung: Unser Bio Leindottersamenöl wird aus reinen, frischen, unbehandelten Leindottersa-

men gewonnen, die ca. 32% fettes Öl enthalten (Roth/Kormann 2000, S. 47). Die Gewinnung erfolgt

durch Kaltpressung, wobei eine Presstemperatur von 40°C nicht überschritten wird. Um die frische

des Öls stets zu gewährleisten, werden die Samen i. d. R. erst kurz vor dem Verkauf verarbeitet

Extraction of the oil: Our organic camelina seed oil is extracted from pure, fresh, untreated camelina seeds,

which contain about 32% fatty oil (Roth / Kormann, 2000, p. 47). The extraction is carried out by cold pressing;

a pressing temperature of 40 degrees Celsius is not exceeded. To ensure the freshness of the oil, the seeds are pro-

Kennzahlen: Bio Leindottersamenöl entspricht hinsichtlich seiner Fettsäurezusammensetzung einem

„Gemischtwarenladen“ verglichen mit anderen, üblicherweise in der Ernährung eingesetzten Speise-

ölen. Während in Speiseölen wie Raps-, Oliven- oder auch Leinöl eine spezielle Fettsäure mit etwa

60% oder mehr dominiert, liegt im Leindotteröl der höchste Gehalt einer Fettsäure bei etwa 40%, drei

weitere Fettsäuren sind mit über 15 % enthalten. Interessant ist Leindotteröl insbesondere wegen sei-

nes hohen Gehaltes an α-Linolensäure, zwischen 32 und 40%, der am ehesten mit dem von Leinöl

vergleichbar ist. Als weitere essentielle Fettsäure enthält Leindotteröl Linolsäure, deren Gehalt zwi-

schen 14 und 20% liegt. Damit beträgt das Verhältnis von Omega-6- zu Omega-3-Fettsäuren in

Leindotteröl etwa 1:3. Leindotteröl enthält zudem ca. 87 mg/100g Tocopherole, wobei das γ-

Tocopherol mit 90% der Gesamttocopherole überwiegt. Es befinden sich im Leindotteröl auch durch-

schnittlich 640 mg Phytosterole je kg Leindotteröl. Dabei dominiert, wie bei den meisten Pflanzenölen,

Ratios: Organic camelina oil is in terms of its fatty acid composition the equivalent of a "general store" com-

pared with other commonly used edible oils. While in edible oils such as canola, olive or linseed oil, a fatty acid

with about 60% or more is dominating, the highest amount in organic camelina oil contains a fatty acid with

about 40% and three other fatty acids with more than 15%. Organic camelina oil is particularly interesting be-

cause of its high content of α-linolenic acid, between 32 and 40%, the most likely to be comparable to that of lin-

seed oil. Organic camelina oil contains also linoleic acid, whose content is between 14 and 20%. Thus, the ratio

of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids in organic camelina oil is about 1:3. Organic camelina oil also contains about

87 mg/100 g tocopherols. The γ-tocopherol is predominant with 90% of total tocopherols. There are also average

in organic camelina oil phytosterols 640 mg per kg of organic camelina oil. The dominant phytosterol, as in most

Verwendung in der Pharmazie und Medizin: Eine Untersuchung zur Herstellung von Wachsestern

aus Leindotteröl zeigte, dass die Ausbeute an langkettigen/sehr langkettigen Wachsestern ca. 90% be-

Pharmazie, der Kosmetik und für spezielle Schmiermittel in der Technik (Steinke et al. 2001).

Leindotteröl wird seit langem als Hausmittel eingesetzt (Piroutz 2003).

Use in pharmacy and medicine: A study for the production of wax esters from organic camelina oil showed

that the yield of long-chain / very long chain wax esters is about 90%. The lessons wax esters are potential raw

materials for applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and for special lubricant in the art (Steinke et al. 2001).

Organic camelina oil has long been used as a home remedy (Piroutz 2003).

Verwendung in der Industrie: Leindotteröl wird zur Seifenherstellung, zur Herstellung von Farben

und als leuchtend, rußfrei brennendes Lampenöl verwendet (Roth/Kormann 2000, S. 132). Es gehört

aufgrund seines hohen Gehalts an mehrfach ungesättigten Fettsäuren zu den schnell trocknenden

Ölen und wird daher in der Oleochemie zur Herstellung umweltfreundlicher Polymere, Lacke oder

Farben verwendet (Low 2003, S. 35).

Industrial use: Organic camelina oil is used for soap manufacture, used for the manufacture of paints and as a

bright, soot-free burning lamp oil (Roth / Kormann, 2000, p. 132). Due to its high content of polyunsaturated

fatty acids it belongs to the fast-drying oils and is therefore used in the oleochemical industry to produce envi-

ronmentally friendly polymers, coatings or paints (Low 2003, p. 35).

Verwendung in der Kosmetik: Hinweise bezüglich kosmetischer Anwendungen des Leindotteröls

sind in der Fachliteratur kaum vorhanden. Allerdings erscheinen immer mehr kosmetische Produkte,

die Leindotteröl beinhalten. Dabei wird i. d. R. auf den hohen Gehalt an α-Linolensäure hingewiesen.

Es ist Inhaltsstoff von Cremes, Lotionen, Seifen und anderen Kosmetika.

Use in cosmetics: Information regarding cosmetic applications of organic camelina oil is scarce in the litera-

ture. However, organic camelina oil appears to be more and more involved in cosmetic products. It is usually

pointed to the high content of α-linolenic acid. Organic camelina oil is particularly popular as an ingredient of

creams, lotions, soaps and other cosmetics.

Verwendung in der Küche: Leindotteröl ist in erster Linie ein hervorragendes, exquisites und lecke-

res Speiseöl. Leindotteröl kann analog zum Leinöl oder Fischöl verwendet werden, denn es ist ein

ebenso hervorragender Lieferant von Omega-3-Fettsäuren und ist dabei auch noch oxidationsstabiler.

Insbesondere in der kalten Küche bildet es ein hochwertiges Speiseöl, allerdings sollte es nicht erhitzt

werden. Für die Ernährung ist vor allem der hohe Gehalt an α-Linolensäure und der geringe Anteil

von Erucasäure (< 4%) von Bedeutung.

Die meisten gängigen Speiseöle sind geschmacklich eher neutral. Sie dienen in der Regel als Bratfett

oder als Grundlage eines Salatdressings. Ganz anders verhält es sich mit Leindotteröl, das kalt ge-

presst hergestellt wird und dadurch einen ganz eigenen, typischen Geschmack hat. Leindotteröl

zeichnet sich durch einen erbsigen, nach Wiese duftenden Geruch und leicht scharfen Geschmack aus.

Im Vergleich zu Leinöl ist Leindotteröl jedoch wesentlich milder. Durch den natürlichen Geschmack








ist das Öl eine interessante Bereicherung für Salate, Rohkost, Kartoffelgerichte, Soßen, Brotaufstriche

und Pestos. Zur Aufbewahrung sollte es kühl und dunkel gelagert werden.

Culinary uses: Organic camelina oil is primarily an excellent, exquisite, and tasty cooking oil. Organic came-

lina oil may be used similar to linseed oil or fish oil, because it is an equally excellent source of omega-3 fatty ac-

ids and is also resistant to oxidation. Especially in the cold kitchen it is a high-quality edible oil, but it should not

be heated. For diet issues, is mainly the high content of α-linolenic acid and the low proportion of erucic acid

(<4%) significant.

The most common cooking oils are more of neutral taste. They usually serve as basic cooking oils. Quite different

is the case with organic camelina oil that is cold-pressed and thus has a very own characteristic flavor. Organic

camelina oil is characterized by a smell of peas and meadow and slightly spicy taste. In comparison to organic

linseed oil organic camelina oil is much milder. Because of the natural taste, the oil is an interesting addition to

salads, raw vegetables, potato dishes, sauces, spreads and pestos. For storage it should be kept cool and dark.

Zur Herstellung wurden weder bestrahlte Rohstoffe eingesetzt noch wurde unser Produkt selbst be-

strahlt.

Tierschutz/Vegan:

Unser Produkt ist rein pflanzlichen Ursprungs und kommt während seiner Herstellung, Lagerung und

seines Transports mit keinerlei tierischen Materialien in Berührung. Weder unser Produkt noch seine In-

haltsstoffe wurden an Tieren getestet. Ebenso werden derzeit und in Zukunft keine Tierversuche mit un-

serem Produkt unternommen werden.

Keimfreiheit:

Unser Produkt ist frei von Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus und Pseudomonas aeruginosa Kei-

men.

Allergene:

Unser Produkt enthält keine messbaren Anteile von Proteinen und beinhaltet deswegen auch keine Al-

lergene im Sinne des Lebensmittelrechts. Wenn Allergene vorhanden sein sollten, so weisen wir aus-

drücklich darauf hin.

CMR:

Unser Produkt enthält unserem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand zufolge keine CMR-Stoffe (karzinogene, mu-

tagene und reproduktionstoxische Stoffe). Sollten dennoch solche Stoffe vorhanden sein, so weisen wir

explizit darauf hin. Weiterhin wurden unserem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand zufolge keine CMRs in seiner

Herstellung oder während der Herstellung des verwendet.

Chlorpyrifos:

Unser Produkt entspricht unserem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand zufolge den gesetzlichen Vorschriften in

der EU oder in Deutschland in Bezug auf Höchstgehalte an Rückständen von Chlorpyrifos in oder auf

bestimmten Erzeugnissen.








Schwermetalle:

Unser Produkt enthält unserem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand zufolge keine Schwermetalle.

Konservierungsmittelfreiheit:

Unser Produkt ist nach unserem derzeitigen Kenntnisstand weder mit synthetischen Konservierungsmit-

BSE/TSE Frei:

Unser Produkt ist frei von BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) und TSE (Transmissible Spon-

giform Encephalopathy). Das Produkt stammt nicht aus einem Rohstoff tierischen Ursprungs. Die Che-

mikalien, welche mit der Entwicklung von BSE oder TSE in Verbindung gebracht werden, wurden in un-

seren Produktions- und Abwicklungsprozessen NICHT verwendet.

MOSH, POSH, MOAH Erklärung:

Die Firma SanaBio GmbH untersucht dieses Erzeugnis regelmäßig auf den Inhalt von MOSH, POSH,

MOAH hin. Die Firma SanaBio GmbH informiert ihre Kunden und die zuständigen Überwachungsbe-

hörden wenn sich Spuren von MOSH, POSH, MOAH in diesem Erzeugnis nachweisen lassen. Bisher

ergaben sich KEINE Beanstandungen hinsichtlich der Überschreitung eventueller Grenzwerte oder einer

eventuellen Gesundheitsgefährdung durch den Inhalt von MOSH, POSH, MOAH in diesem Erzeugnis.

SanaBio GmbH modifiziert und aktualisiert regelmäßig alle Spezifikationen. Kunden wird empfoh-

len, sich regelmäßig nach der aktuellen Fassung zu erkundigen.

Die Angaben in dieser Spezifikation haben informativen Charakter. Sie stammen aus der Fachliteratur,

aus den Spezifikationen von Lieferanten sowie aus Analysezertifikaten und sind nach unserem Wissen

das Ergebnis von Beobachtungen und „In Vitro“, bzw. chemischen oder physikalischen Labor-

Untersuchungen. Eine bestimmte Wirkungsweise am Menschen wurde nicht getestet. Die Angaben sind

kein Ersatz für Vorversuche zum Nachweis der Eignung für den beabsichtigten Einsatzzweck. Der An-

wender ist für die Einhaltung der jeweiligen gesetzlichen Bestimmungen selbst verantwortlich. Die Wer-

te unterliegen den natürlichen Schwankungen. Alle Werte wurden nach unserem besten Wissen und

Gewissen erstellt.

Kundenreklamationen (Mängelrügen):

Wir verkaufen/vertreiben unsere Erzeugnisse ausschließlich aufgrund unserer Spezifikation. Unsere

Analysezertifikate haben rein informativen Charakter und sind unverbindlich. Wir garantieren Ihnen,

dass die chemische/physikalische Zusammensetzung unserer Erzeugnisse, zzgl. oder abzgl. der Messto-

leranzen, unseren Spezifikationen entsprechen. Wir erkennen nur Analyseergebnisse an, die von Euro-

fins Deutschland gemacht wurden. Wir erstellen Rückstellmuster zu jeder Lieferung. Die von Eurofins

ermittelten Werte der Kundenproben müssen sodann den von Eurofins ermittelten Werten unserer

Rückstellmuster entsprechen und die Werte, zzgl. oder abzgl. der Messtoleranzen, müssen deutlich au-

ßerhalb unserer Spezifikation sein. Erst dann erkennen wir eine Kundenreklamation an und werden

entweder eine Nachbesserung veranlassen, insofern uns dies möglich ist, oder eine Rücklieferung veran-

lassen und den Kaufpreis erstatten.








GMO free Statement:

Our product is GMO free and therefore not subject to the labelling requirement under regulation (EC) 1829/2003

and regulation (EC) 1830/2003.

Irradiation Statement:

To produce our product, no irradiated materials were used; our product itself was also not irradiated.

Animal protection and Vegan Statement:

Our product is purely vegetable origin and comes during its manufacture, storage and its transport with no animal

materials in contact. Neither our product nor its ingredients have been tested on animals. Likewise, no animal test-

ing will be undertaken at present and in future.

Sterility:

regarding maximum levels of chlorpyrifos residues in or on certain products.

Heavy metals:

According to our current knowledge, our product is free of heavy metals.

Preservative free:

Our product has been provided according to our current knowledge neither with synthetic preservatives agents,

such as formaldehyde and parabens, nor these have been used in the manufacture.

BSE/TSE status:

lopathy). The product does not come from a raw material of animal origin. The chemicals that are associated with

SanaBio GmbH regularly checks this product for the content of MOSH, POSH, MOAH. SanaBio GmbH informs








its customers and the responsible monitoring authorities if traces of MOSH, POSH, MOAH can be found in this

product. So far, there have been no complaints regarding the exceeding of possible limit values or a potential health

hazard due to the content of MOSH, POSH, MOAH in this product.

SanaBio GmbH regularly updates and modifies its specifications. Buyers are recommended to regularly

ask for updated versions.

The information above are collected with care and are informative only. To the best of our knowledge these state-

ments are the result of observance and in vitro studies and are collected from the literature. The statements are no

substitute for one’s own research on the intended use. The user is responsible for compliance with regulatory re-

Customer complaints / notice of defects:

We sell/distribute our products exclusively on the basis of our specification. Our analysis certificates are purely in-

formative and non-binding. We guarantee that the chemical/physical composition of our products, plus or minus the

measurement tolerances, meet our specifications. We only accept the results of analysis made by Eurofins Germany.

We create default samples for each delivery. The values of the customer samples determined by Eurofins must then

correspond to the values determined by Eurofins of our return samples and the values, plus or minus the measure-

ment tolerances, must be clearly outside our specification. Only then will we accept a complaint and will either ar-

range a rectification, if it is possible, or arrange a return delivery and refund the purchase price.
