Through food distribuon, educaon and advocacy, they are making strides on behalf of more than 63,000 county residents who experience hunger and food insecurity. Since 1983, Manna has worked to fight hunger, feed hope and transion recipients from a place of scarcity to prosperity. The com- munity was present at the creaon of Manna coming together to make sure that those experiencing hunger had a place to turn. Now Manna Food Center stands as the premier food bank of Montgomery County, providing food to 32,000 individuals each year and helping distribute rescued food to soup kitchens, food pantries and emergency shelters county-wide. Seva Descripon: Volunteers help to sort and pack non-perishable foods which are distributed to needy people of Montgomery County. Where: Onsite seva @ 9311 Gaither Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 Who to aend: All center members and YAs are welcome. SSE students can claim SSL Hours Team Size: Not more than 20 volunteers. Arjuna too considered every act as Sadhana to aain the grace of Krishna, for Krishna directed him to fight on, ever keeping Him in memory . You too should keep God ever in your mind as the paceseer, whether you are serving paents in the hospitals or cleaning a drain in the bazaar. That is the tapas, that is the highest form of Sadhana. New Seva Initiative Manna Food Center
