Child Evangelism Fellowship
CEF was founded in 1937 with the vision that if a child
is properly instructed they can truly believe as an
adult. They continue to press toward the goal and lead
children to Christ daily. CEF has many different minis-
tries for children, but the primary ones are the Good
News Club, and the 5-Day Club.
The Good News Club and 5-Day Club ministries take place in neighborhood
settings such as homes, backyards, schools and community centers all over the
world. These fast-paced, one-hour programs are designed to bring the Gospel
of Christ to children on their level in their environment.
Along with these clubs, CEF also has fair, camping, open-air, and internet minis-
tries for children. Last year through these combined ministries over 20.4 million
children worldwide heard the Good News. This past Christmas CEF started a
new outreach with the goal of sharing the true meaning of Christmas. They did
a total of 8 outreaches at different places: three schools, three parks, one
church, and one home . The best part? 209 kids heard the true meaning of
Christmas and 50 accepted the Lord for the first time.
They have a couple of prayer requests listed below:
For two new GNC’s that are trying to start this month: Gauldin Elem. in
Downey and Ceres Elem. in Whittier.
For each team member to stay healthy, encouraged, passionate, and
filled with new ideas.
For two of our students at Carmela Elem., they lost a cousin who com-
mitted suicide over the Christmas break.
You are all invited to the next GMF luncheon on Tuesday February 6th.
We are looking forward to Ashley Casillas as the speaker. She heads up the
mid-cities chapter of CEF. Come hear the good news.
