Händels vier Sonaten für Blockflöte und B. c. erschienen erstmalig 1724 inAmsterdam in der Sammlung XV Solos for a German Flute, Hoboy or Violinwith a Thorough Bass for the Harpsichord or a Bass Violin (Band 27 derChrysanderschen Händel-Ausgabe), in der sie durch die Bezeichnung„Flauto solo“ kenntlich sind, während die in der Sammlung enthaltenenQuerflötensonaten mit „Traversa solo“ bezeichnet sind.

In der hier vorliegenden Ausgabe sind weder Bindebögen noch Triller odersonst irgendwelche Bezeichnungen, die nicht original sind, hinzugefügt wor-den.

The four Handel sonatas for recorder and thorough bass first appeared inAmsterdam in 1724 in the collection XV Solos for a German Flute, Hoboy orViolin with a Thorough Bass for the Harpsichord or a Bass Violin (Volume 27of Chrysander’s Handel Edition), where they are marked “Flauto solo”,whilst the sonatas for the German Flute in this collection are marked“Traversa solo”.

In the present edition no slurs or trills or another signs which are not origi-nal, have been added.

Les quatre sonates de Haendel pour flûte à bec et basso continue ont été pub-liées pour la première fois en 1724 à Amsterdam dans le recueil intitulé XVsolos for a German Flute, Hoboy or Violin with a Thorough Bass for theHarpsichord or a Bass Violin (Volume 27 de l’édition des Œuvres complètesde Haendel par Chrysander). Elles s’y distinguent par la mention «Flautosolo», tandis que les sonates pour flûte traversière contenues dans la mêmecollection sont désignées par les mots «Traversa solo».

Dans notre édition ne figure aucune indication de nature quelconque (liaison,trille, etc.) qui ne soit originale.
