FrankfurtRhineMainThe FrankfurtRheinMain region is a major European metropolitan region within which 8 % of the German GDP is generated. The Hessian part of FrankfurtRheinMain contributes more than half of the entire Hessian GDP. These numbers illustrate why FrankfurtRheinMain can be considered one of the most important metropolitan regions in Germany.

The central location in Europe and its superior infrastructure make the region a highly attractive base for more than 400,000 national and international companies. Together they offer employment to 2.1 million people which amounts to about 88,8 % of all employees in Hessian.

Aside from the many different sectors of industry active in the region contributing to its high economic output, FrankfurtRheinMain offers an excellent quality of life for its inhabitants. A large number of cultural and historic sights attract over 12 million visitors a year. A further one million visit one of the region’s fairs every year.
