4.1 Selection of menu pointsThe menu offers further selection options. The functions or submenusavailable for selection are presented line-by-line in bright letters on a darkbackground. When a function is selected, its presentation is inverted (darkletters on bright background).

You can call up a submenu in two ways:1. By pressing the corresponding numerical key,2. By selecting the submenu with the [select[select[select[select field]field]field]field] softkey (the bright

cursor bar is moved one line with each press of the key). Press the[OK][OK][OK][OK] softkey to call up the submenu.

To have the selected function performed, press the [OK][OK][OK][OK] softkey. Somemenus will then be followed by a further submenu.

4.2 EntriesVarious menus require you to make numerical entries. These entries areinput via the accordingly marked keys on the keypad.

The controllers keys are dual-assigned. Assignments are printed on thekeys. To change over between assignments on controller AN, use the[ALT] [ALT] [ALT] [ALT] key. This key is fitted with an LED. When the LED is on, the lowerline of characters on the keys is active. When the LED is off, the upperline of characters is active. On controllers with a numerical keyboard, pressing a key on its own willresult in the lower character being entered. To enter the upper characteron a key you must press the [ [ [ [ vvvv ] ] ] ] key simultaneously.Press the [OK][OK][OK][OK] softkey to adopt the entry.

In some cases it may be necessary to enter text (e.g. entering acustomers address at the beginning of an order or entering a productname and product code during configuration). On AN controllers, textentries are made in exactly the same way as numerical entries. On controllers with a numerical keyboard you must follow a number ofspecial instructions to enter text.

Controllers with a numerical keyboard have no letter keys. When textentries are necessary (for the customers address, product name, productcode and unit of quantity), they have to be made therefore in a differentway.

Having selected a field requiring a text entry, you must first press any key(except those softkeys that are assigned a function) in order to call up theentry routine.

If you want to change data subject to statutory calibration, the sealswitch (calibration switch) has to be actuated before you call upconfiguration!Whenever the seal switch is actuated, re-calibration by an officialoffice is compulsory at a charge!

The displays illustrated below are taken from Software Version 1.10.Differences of software status and configuration may mean that thefigures differ slightly from the displays in your system.

An overview of the configuration menu structure as well as instructionson how to access the various configuration levels can be found onpage 6-49.

6 ConfigurationAll the settings preferred for running the control software and required forthe specific system configuration are made with the configuration menus. Most settings can be made after entering passwords which permit accessto specific configuration levels (see 6.1).All the data subject to statutory calibration and all the data of relevancefor running the program can be changed only when the seal switch(calibration switch) is actuated. The seal switch has to be actuated beforeyou call up configuration! The seal switch is to be found at the bottom of the controller and isequipped with a seal pin secured with a lead seal. The lead seal has to bedisconnected and the seal pin removed in order to actuate the sealswitch. You must then turn the seal switch 90/ anticlockwise. When theseal switch is actuated, the display changes to the main menus with aflashing EEEE.
