Permanent and Part Time Learners Receive Winter Goodies
SANZAF Western Cape launched its
annual Operation Winter Warmth
Campaign at the Heinz Park Primary
School near Philippi in April this year.
The school's 1300 learners received
wool beanies, scarves and gloves as
well as a party pack and nutritious,
warm biryani.
Thirteen-year-old Aisha, a Grade 7
learner at Heinz Park Primary School,
said: “I think this is a great thing for a
community like ours. Many of my
classmates don't have even have shoes
to wear to school because they are so

SANZAF Western Cape assisted over
6 5 0 0 l e a r n e r s f r o m s e v e r a l

(S te l lenbosch) , S t He lena Bay ,
Steenberg and Worcester as part of the
2015 campaign.
Warming Hearts Of All Ages
The organisation's case workers
conduct research in under-resourced
communities, which informs the
identification of schools with the
greatest need.
Volunteers Help Make Grannies Feel Special
A group of volunteers and SANZAF
staff accompanied 50 grannies on a
shopping opportunity as part of the
Adopt A Granny initiative, which is one
of several offerings that form part of
SANZAF's Operation Winter Warmth.
The grannies live in underprivileged
communities across the Western Cape,
