• Definition:– A Migrant is someone who moves from one place to another in order to live in another country for

more than a year.

– A refugee is a person who has fled armed conflict or persecution and who is recognised as needing of international protection because it is too dangerous for them to return home.

– An asylum seeker is a person who flees into another country and applies for asylum • Subsidiary protection is an international protection for persons seeking asylum, but do not qualify as

• Article 1 defines the term "refugee"• "A person who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of

– 2. The benefit of the present provision may not, however, be claimed by a refugee whom there are reasonable grounds for regarding as a danger to the security of the country in which he is, or who, having been convicted by a final judgement of a particularly serious crime, constitutes a danger to the community of that country.
