2014 Organisational skills and responsibility – worked in Nang Rong, Buriram, Thailand for four

weeks, as part of the University of Melbourne TREAD (Thai Rural Education and Development)

team. Roles whilst in Thailand involved teaching English, among other responsibilities including

entertaining children and participating in sports and other school activities at a local host school, as

well as travelling to other poorer schools in the region and assessing their sustainability. Before

arrival in Thailand, we, as a team undertook fundraising in Australia to raise funds for these poorer

school to improve their sustainability. I was also the team’s treasurer, responsible for the

administrative organisation of funds raised and the transfer of these funds to the schools in

Thailand.
