MISSION

Lesson 13

Page 2: 13 Mission Eng

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Romans 10:13-15

How are they to call on one they have not believed in?

And how are they to preach unless they are sent?

As it is written, “How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news.”

And how are they to believe in one they have

not heard of?

And how are they to hear without someone

preaching to them?

Everybody needs someone to preach the Gospel to him so he can be saved.

Jesus makes every effort to ensure that everyone is saved. He wants his followers to have the privilege of taking part in this work.

That's why He gave us the Great Commission.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.”(Mark 16:15-16)

“Just as the Father has sent me, I also send you” (John 20:21)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to

the farthest parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8)

“Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, and he had an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth – to every nation, tribe, language, and people. He declared in a loud voice: “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has arrived, and worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water!”

Revelation 14:6-7

Page 10: 13 Mission Eng

“A second angel followed the first, declaring: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great city! She made all the nations drink of the wine of her immoral passion.”

Revelation 14:8

Page 11: 13 Mission Eng

“A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand, that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb. And the smoke from their torture will go up forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, along with anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

Revelation 14:9-11

“The three angels of Revelation 14 are represented as flying in the midst of heaven, symbolizing the work of those who proclaim the first, second, and third angels' messages… The influence of these messages has been deepening and widening, setting in motion the springs of action in thousands of hearts, bringing into existence institutions of learning, publishing houses, and health institutions. All these are instrumentalities of God to co-operate in the grand work represented by the first, second, and third angels, the work of warning the inhabitants of the world that Christ is coming the second time with power and great glory.”
