applications and services• Impacts application latency and service levels to end users• Unpredictable latency impacts predictability of complex SOA environments

• Goal: Provide more predictable application/service response times• WebLogic Real Time based on JRockit performance features

• Deterministic GC provides max pause time guarantees• For example “no pause should be longer than 100 ms”• Max latency = time to process transaction + max pause time• Decreases frequency and severity of latency spikes
