Die Deklinationsbestimmung, die getrennt vorgenommen werden muate, ging noch gut von statten, weil das Auge sich Zeit nehmen konnte; hingegen verlor das Auge den Kometen beim Antritt an die Rektaszensionsfaden, bis ich niich entschlofi, den Ort des Kometen im Gedachtnis festzuhalwn und auf diese Weise die Bestimmung vorzu- nehmen, was dadurch erleichtert wurde, daO die Gegend reich an schwachen Sternen ist. Nach Mitteilung von Berberich bedarf die Beobachtung einer Korrektur von - I", was sehr nahe 1 0 Schraubenrevolutionen = 9819 entspricht. DaO wirklich der Planet beobachtet wurde, zeigt die groOe Bewegung in d des beobachteten Ob- jektes. Da nun auf der beim Aufsuchen verwendeten Karte der mit Bleistift eingezeichnete Ort noch zu erkennen ist, so konnte mit Sicherheit konstatiert werden, daO die Kor- rektur berechtigt ist. Es mut3 daher Ad = -0'119 statt f1'3710 und dapp. +1'35'4111 statt +1'37'20?0 ge- lesen werden.

Neue Elemente und genaue Ephemeride des Kometen 1913f (Delauan).

Rlit der Absicht, den Beobachtern des Kometen I 9 I 3 f bei der Reduktion ihrer Beobachtungen eine genaue Epherne- ride ziir Verfiigung zu stellen, berechnete ich ein neues Ele- mentensystem, den1 ich alle bisher in dieser Zeitschrift veroffentlichten Beobachtungen zu Griinde legte, auflerdem niehrere, die ich brieflicher Tvlitteilung der Herren Grcfi Gonntssiaf und Aififlosc.vich verdanke. Die 6 7 benutzten Be- obachtungen reichen bis April 6 (Alger) und iiberspannen daher einen Zeitrarini \'on I 10 Tagen, jedoch nur einen heliozentrischen Hogen von I Z ' / > Grad. Es war rnir nicht tiioglich, das Beobachtiingsniaterial durch eine Parabel dar- zustellen. Die Elliptizitfit der Bahn halte ich fiir gesichert; gleichwohl ist der Wer t der Exzentrizitit noch unsicherer als der der iibrigen BestiiiimiinRsstiicke. Meine Elemente sind die folgenden:
