Algerien ist ein Staat im Nordwesten Afrikas. Algerien, das mittlere der Maghrebländer, ist -knapp vor der Demokratischen Republik Kongo- das größte Land des afrikanischen Kontinents. Es grenzt im Norden an das Mittelmeer, im Westen an Mauretanien, Marokko und die von Marokko beanspruchte Westsahara, im Süden an Mali und Niger und im Osten an Libyen sowie Tunesien.

Algeria , is a country in North Africa on the Mediterranean coast. Its capital and most populous city is Algiers. Algeria is the largest country in Africa. The country is bordered in the northeast by Tunesia, in the east by Libya, in the west by Morocco, in the southwest by Western Sahara, Mauritania, and Mali, in the southeast by Niger, and in the north by the Mediterranean Sea.
