Preventing food loss and waste is one of the most important goals for the near future. We therefore agree that – food loss and waste reduction has to be cost-effective in economic and environmental terms, – it has to be the result of increased efficiency of value chains– and it has to be socially acceptable. Food loss and waste reduction will then be able to contribute to increased food safety and sustainable food systems worldwide…
