EDITORIALAlles wird verrückter! Noch grösser und wilder… NUR DAS HANGAR ROCKIN FESTIVAL BLEIBT GUT, EHRLICH UND VON FANS FÜR FANS. Vor zwölf Jahren sind wir vom Aargau ins Simmental disloziert und haben unser Festival zu einem festen Bestandteil in der ROCK AND ROLL MUSIK, CARS UND BIKES KULTURLANDSCHAFT etabliert. Wo wir nun nach 18 Jahren sehr stolz auf die Zeit zurück schauen, wo es noch nicht viele vergleichbare Festivals in Europa gab.
Wiederum haben wir keine Kosten und Mühe gescheut, Euch ein Programm zu präsentieren, das WELTKLASSE-NIVEAU beinhaltet. Zum ersten Mal ist es uns gelungen, den Sänger von BR5-49 – CHUCK MEAD mit seiner Band zu engagieren. Ein weiteres Highlight werden die fünf Damen und Herren der Gruppe DEL PRINCE aus Madrid mit ihrem einzigartigen Doo Wop darstellen. BARRENCE WHITFILED is back! Nach langer Abwesenheit sind wir stolz, ihn wieder am Hangar Rockin’ zu begrüssen! Zum zweiten Mal werden wir ein attraktives Alternativ-Programm im VOODOO RHYTHM CIRCUS präsentieren. Am Sonntag wird der VINTAGE FLOHMARKT wieder das Highlight des dritten Festivaltags darstellen.Nicht fehlen dürfen natürlich die 1/8 MILE HOT ROT RACES am Samstag, sowie das BURN OUT RACE mit den Dragstern am Sonntagmorgen. Zu erwähnen sind natürlich die noch nicht so bekannten Künstler auf der OPEN AIR TRUCK STAGE…Liebe Rock’n’Roll-Gemeinde, alles andere bleibt, wie es ist, erste Sahne! LOVE, PEACE AND HAIRGREASE!

Everything’s getting crazier! Even bigger and wilder… ONLY THE HANGAR ROCKIN FESTIVAL REMAINS GOOD, HONEST AND FROM FANS FOR FANS. Twelve years ago we moved from Aargau to the Simmental and established our festival as an integral part of the ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, CARS AND BIKE CULTURAL LANDSCAPE. Where, after 18 years, we now look back very proudly on a time when there were not yet many comparable festivals in Europe.
Again, we have spared no expenses and efforts to present you a program that includes WORLD CLASS LEVEL. For the first time we managed to engage the singer of BR5-49 - CHUCK MEAD with his band. Another highlight will be the five ladies and gentlemen of the DEL PRINCE group from Madrid with their unique Doo Wop. BARRENCE WHITFILED is back! After a long absence we are proud to welcome him back at Hangar Rockin’! For the second time we will present an attractive alternative program in the VOODOO RHYTHM CIRCUS! On Sunday the FLEAMARKET will again be the highlight of the third festival day.Of course the 1/8 MILE HOT ROT RACES on Saturday and the BURN OUT RACE with the dragsters on Sunday morning should not be missing. Of course the not yet so well known artists at the OPEN AIR TRUCK STAGE are worth mentioning... Dear Rock’n’Roll community, everything else stays as it is, first class! LOVE, PEACE AND HAIRGREASE!

Die 1/8 MILE HOT ROD & MOTORBIKE RACES finden in zwei Durchläufen zwischen 13.00 und 17.00 Uhr statt. Aus Sicherheits- und Organisations-technischen Gründen wird nur eine limitierte Anzahl an Fahrzeugen zum Race zugelassen. Jeder Fahrer, der am Race teilnehmen möchte, muss ein PRE 1960 FAHRZEUG fahren und sich IM VORAUS UNTER [email protected] BIS 31. MAI 2019 ANMELDEN. Der SCOOTER RUN wird in ZWEI KATEGORIEN durchgeführt: PRE 1960 und 1960 – 1968. Auch hier gilt: IM VORAUS UNTER [email protected] BIS 31. MAI 2019 ANMELDEN.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 30th – finally, here is that moment again: the air smells of rubber and gasoline, the V8’s are revving up and everybody is sizzling with excitement! It’s time for the legendary 1/8 MILE OLD STYLE SHOW RACE FOR HOT RODS, MOTORBIKES AND THE SCOOTER RUN! The 1/8 MILE HOT ROD & MOTORBIKE RACE is taking place in two runs between 1.00pm and 5.00pm. For security reasons, only a limited number of cars are allowed to the race. Everybody interested in racing‚ MUST DRIVE A PRE 1960 CAR OR BIKE and MUST APPLY UNTIL MAY 31st, 2019 via [email protected]! The SCOOTER RUN is divided into TWO CATEGORIES: PRE 1960 and 1960 – 1968. Everybody interested in taking part MUST APPLY UNTIL MAY 31st, 2019 via [email protected].
NEW! CACKLE FEST – Saturday when the sun goes down behind the moun-tains, we have a spectacle ready for you – let us surprise you!

DRAGSTERSONNTAG, 30. JUNI – BURNOUT RACEZum zweiten Mal organisieren wir eine Burnout Show mit speziellen «Dragster» Fahrzeugen. Ab 11 Uhr morgens werdet ihr Teil eines ganz besonderen Spektakels, und zwar wenn die ganz grossen Motorenmonster ihre Muskeln spielen lassen. Diese beiden Shows finden aus Sicherheits-gründen nur bei schönem Wetter statt! Wir bitten um Euer Verständnis!
SUNDAY, 30. JUNE – BURNOUT RACEFor the second time we organize a Burnout Show with special Dragster Cars. From 11.00am onward the cars with real big engines will be showing off their «muscles» and let your eyes stare wide open! TRIXIE & THE TRAINWRECKS [USA]
Trixie Trainwreck, ein wildes Kind der ganz besonderen Sorte, wurde in San Francisco geboren und zog mit 18 Jahren nach Berlin. Sie begann ihre Musik-Karriere in den Tiefen der Metro 1999 und tourte bald darauf mit einer handvoll Bands in der EU und in den USA. Die wohl am härtesten arbeitende Mutter im Showbiz!
Wild child, Trixie Trainwreck was born in San Francisco and moved to Berlin when she was 18. She started her musical endeavors in the me-tro back in 1999. Touring the EU and the USA with a handful of bands and most recently with her show as Trixie & The Trainwrecks. She’s probably the hardest working girl in showbiz and a mother, too!!

Das 80-Jahre-Kind kombiniert auf einfache Art und Weise BEASTIE BOYS aus den frühen Tagen von Garage Punk mit THE SONICS und dem stoischen Sound europäischer New Wave-Helden.

EIN COOLES WOCHENENDE VERBRINGENUNSER TIPP!Kommt doch mit einem Zelt und benützt unseren Camping-Platz, der unmittel-bar neben dem Festivalzentrum positioniert ist. Oder unterstützt unsere örtlichen Hotels und Pensionen, darunter gibt es viele Familienbetriebe. Es verkehrt ein Shuttlebus zwischen unserem Festival und den Hotels in der Lenk.
CAMPINGWie jedes Jahr bieten wir einen grossen Campingplatz an. Dieser öffnet am FREITAG NACHMITTAG 16:00 und schliesst am SONNTAG MITTAG 12:00. WER FRÜHER ANREIST, MUSS DRAUSSEN WARTEN! Es gibt Toiletten und fliessendes Wasser auf dem Gelände, zusätzliche sanitäre Anlagen wie Duschen & Toiletten gibt’s in der örtlichen Mehrzweckhalle, siehe Lageplan in der Bookletmitte. Früh-stücksbrunch gibts am Samstag von 8:00 Uhr bis 11:00 Uhr und am Sonntag von 8:00 Uhr bis 12:00 Uhr im Hangar.
CAMPERS & TRAILERSFür Campingfahrzeuge haben wir markierte ABSTELLPLÄTZE am Ende des 1/8 Mile Race Track. Diese Fahrzeuge müssen zwei Kehrichtsäcke zu je 20.– CHF kaufen. Wer die Säcke gefüllt bei der Abreise retourniert, bekommt pro Kehricht-sack CHF 10.– zurückerstattet. Die Müllsäcke werden am Sonntag von 8:00 bis 12:00 im Hangar entgegengenommen.

A GOOD ADVICE!Come to the festival with a tent instead and use our idyllic campsite – very close to the main festival area. Or, even better, support the local accommo-dation – lots of family businesses around here! There will be a permanent shuttle service between the festival grounds and hotels/B&Bs in Lenk.
CAMPINGLike every year, a large campsite is at your disposal. Opening is FRIDAY AF-TERNOON 4:00 pm and Closing SUNDAY 12:00 noon. IF YOU ARRIVE EARLIER YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT OUTSIDE! There are toilets & running water on site, additional sanitary facilities as toilets & showers are located at the nearby multi-purpose hall. Please find the detailed site plan in the booklet center. Breakfast-Brunch: On Saturday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am and Sunday from 8:00 am until 12:00 am in the Hangar.
CAMPERS & TRAILERSFor the ones who arrive with their camping car there is a designed PARKING at the end of the 1/8 Mile Race Track. Each camping car must buy two trash bags at cost of CHF 20.– each. If you return them full on sunday before you leave, we’ll reward you with CHF 10.– per bag. The bags can be returned on Sunday from 8:00am until 12:00.

ABFALLUm das GROSSE ABFALLPROBLEM zu lösen, gelten folgende Regeln:
– JEDER CAMPINGBESUCHER bekommt am Eingang 1 MÜLLSACK (60 Liter) und muss dafür CHF 20.– entrichten. Wer diesen Sack am Sonntag vor der Abreise gefüllt zum Hangar bringt, kriegt ein Depot von CHF 10.– zurück. Die Müll-säcke werden am Sonntag von 8:00 bis 12:00 im Hangar entgegengenommen.
– Aus Sicherheitsgründen akzeptieren wir KEIN GLAS MEHR auf dem ganzen Gelände! Wenn du ein paar Bier mitbringen willst, dann kaufe PET oder DOSEN oder fülle es in PLASTIKFLASCHEN! – Wir wollen nicht, dass an unserem Festival PRIVATES BARBUSINESS gemacht wird! Wenn ihr schon grössere Zelte mitbringt, dann respektiert bitte, dass wir KEINE KÜHLSCHRÄNKE UND AUSSCHANKVORRICHTUNGEN ERLAUBEN! Unser Personal wird den Platz regelmässig kontrollieren.

FOOD & DRINKSNext to the big tent (where you can buy a large variety of hot food) you will find our fabulous HOT ROCKET HOT-DOGS, the CRÊPES CUISINE, the SPECIAL RACLETTE STALL, several OPEN AIR BAR’N’GRILL and of course, our legendary TIKI BAMBOO COCKTAIL BAR!
TRASHTo solve our RECYCLING PROBLEMS the following rules apply:
– EVERYBODY who stays at the CAMPSITE will be given 1 TRASH BAG (60 litres) at the entrance FOR A FEE OF CHF 20.– If you return that bag full to the Hangar before you leave, you will get a CHF 10.– deposit back. You can bring bags and collect money on Sunday from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon in the Hangar.
– For security reasons we accept NO GLASS BOTTLES on the festival ground anymore! If you bring drinks, buy PET bottles or CANS or fill it into PLASTIC BOTTLES. Be aware that there will be occasional SECURITY CHECKS at the entrance, your glass has to stay outside! At this spot, we would like to THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT HELP & SUPPORT during the last festivals!
– Our festival is NOT OPEN FOR YOUR PRIVATE BAR BUSINESS! So if you bring big tents, please respect that we DO NOT TOLERATE ANY REFRIGERATORS NOR TAPS! There will be regular checks by our staff.
