Die GeschichteDer Begriff « Julen collection » entstand aus einer Zusammenarbeit der Familie Julen und eines Freun-des, namens Jonathan Collaud, im Zuge seiner Diplomarbeit für den Abschluss zum Designer in Visual Merchandising und wurde schlussendlich als beste Arbeit dieses Lehrgang ausgezeichnet.

Der Trend, altbewährte Tugenden und familiäres Wissen mit modernem Lifestyle und Luxus zu ver-mischen, kann nicht nur im Matterhorn-Dorf beobachtet werden, sondern ist weltweit in der Branche zu erkennen.

Das Label «Julen collection » widerspiegelt das Fachwissen und die Tätigkeiten der Familie Julen in den Bereichen Hotellerie, Gastronomie und der Landwirtschaft. Das Ziel der Kollaboration beinhaltet die Entwicklung einzelner Souvenirartikel, welche die familiäre Zermatter Tradition mit moderner Kreativität verbinden. Der Gedanke lautet:

« Neben schönen Erinnerungen sollen unsere Gäste auch noch etwas zum Anfassen mit nach Hause nehmen ! »

Im Verlauf der Arbeit entwickelte sich diese Idee weiter und es entstand der Slogan unserer « Julen collection » : « Where passion meets tradition ».

In diesem Sinne wollen wir unsere Gäste auch künftig in unseren Betrieben Willkommen heissen und sind voller Vorfreude Sie unter dem Stern der «Julen collection » verwöhnen zu dürfen.

The storyThe term « Julen collection » has been evolved from a collaboration between the family Julen and a friend of theirs named Jonathan Collaud, who completed his studies as a Designer in Visual Merchan-dising with this final dissertation, being awarded as the premier work of the entire course.

The trend to combine proven traditions and family expertise with modern lifestyle and luxury cannot only be seen in the Matterhorn village also in many other locations fields in the hospitality industry.

The new label « Julen collection » represents the knowledge enterprise and activities of the family Julen in their work in the areas hospitality, gastronomy and agriculture. The objective of the collaboration was to develop individual souvenirs that unite the family and local traditions with modern creativity. The fundamental idea was :

« Beside wonderful memories our guest should be able to take something they can touch back home »

During the progression of the work the idea was developed and the slogan « where tradition meets passion » was born.

In this sense we would like to welcome our guest also in the future and are very glad to serve them under the star of the « Julen collection ».
