In 2005, when I came to Gothenborg for the first time, I started to work in the area of free improvised music. Since then I explore myself as a source and reason to make music. I have worked intensively on the question of how to connect myself to my instrument and to the music without being pretentious. I consciously avoid forcing my body into patterns of behaviour and question traditional ways of teaching – by saying that the body itself knows how to play music. I work as a teacher and freelance musician in Bremen. Prizes 2008 Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien, Stockholm, category: Jazz 2009 Martha von Sydow-Stiftelse, Göteborg
