Nach dem ungewohnt harten „Out Of The Abyss“ stellt „The Courts Of Chaos“ nicht nur eine Rückkehr zum eher klassischen Manilla Road-Sound dar. Welche Band hat schon einen Drummer, der zeitgleich auch Keyboards spielen kann? So wurde das Instrument zu einem wichtigen Teil auf diesem Album, welches übrigens auch in Süd Korea veröffentlicht wurde. Im Heimatland der damaligen Plattenfirma Black Dragon, Frankreich, war „The Courts Of Chaos“ ein Hit und erfreut sich bei den dort lebenden Fans auch heute noch großer Beliebtheit. So wurde 2018 in der Bretagne das „Courts Of Chaos Festival“ gestartet, bei dem Manilla Road als Headliner spielten.

„The Courts Of Chaos“ macht es auch Neueinsteigern wieder etwas einfacher als der Vorgänger „Out Of The Abyss“. Lediglich „(Vlad) The Impaler“ weist Tendenzen in Richtung Thrash Metal auf. Der Rest ist dem Epic Metal zuzuordnen, für den Manilla Road so beliebt ist. Das Booklet enthält neue Liner-Notes von Randy Foxe und Neudi, Texte, Fotos und viele Abbildungen verschiedener Versionen des Albums.

Eben alles was eine „Ultimate Version“ braucht.
