ELBRO NewsIn 2017, SMS-Butlers were also installed on

boats, farms, civil installations and industrial plants.

Thanks to the versatility of the SMS-Butler series and the continuous evolution of new sensors, during 2017 our in-stallers were able to keep unattended systems of various kinds under control.The most frequent applications were: monitoring of water infiltration into the bilges of boats, detection of intrusion into engine rooms, measurement of server room tempera-tures, monitoring of tank level, monitoring of the environ-mental conditions of farms and poultry farms, monitoring of the state of chillers in the food industry, and many others.

SMS-Butlers have now more than ever become essen-tial in today‘s modern industries, which aim to provide their customers with quality after-sales and maintenance services.

Imagine the consequences without SMS-Butler:

n a high concentration of ammonia in the air caused by poor ventilation can destroy a poultry farm in a matter of hours;

n an unnoticed malfunction of a refrigeration unit can have considerable economic consequences;

As can be easily guessed from the examples cited above, nowadays, it is essential for the operators of the sector to be warned in time of a possible anomaly of their own plant, saving time of intervention, with consequent econo-mic return.

Swisscom abandons 2G technology in 2020

Swisscom and other telecommunications providers have been presenting their plans to switch off the 2G (GSM) network for some time. For more than 20 years, the GSM signal has accompanied the M2M market, but the tele-phone companies have unfortunately decided to abandon this technology. In response to Swisscom‘s decision to abandon the 2G network by 2020, Elbro AG has updated its entire SMS-Butler series with the latest 3G (UMTS) technology.

Novità ELBRONel 2017 gli SMS-Butler sono stati installati anche su imbarcazioni, in aziende agricole,

installazioni civili ed impianti industriali.

Grazie alla versatilltà della serie SMS-Butler ed alla continua evoluzione di nuovi sensori, nel corso del 2017 i nostri installatori hanno potuto tenere sotto controllo impianti non presidiati di vario genere.Le applicazioni più frequenti sono state: monitoraggio delle infiltrazioni d‘acqua nelle sentine delle imbarcazioni, rilevazione delle intrusioni nelle sale macchine, misura-zione delle temperature di locali server, monitoraggio del livello di serbatoi, controllo delle condizioni ambientali di aziende agricole ed allevamenti avicoli, monitoraggio delle stato dei refrigeratori nell‘industria alimentare, e molte altre.

Gli SMS-Bulter sono oggi più che mai diventati essenziali nelle industrie moderne che mirano a fornire al proprio cliente qualità del servizio di manutenzione e post vendita

Immaginate le cinseguenze senza SMS-Buler:

n una forte concentrazione di ammoniaca nell‘aria causata da una scarsa ventilazione, può distruggere un allevamento di pollame in poche ore; n un malfunzionamento inosservato di una unità di refrigerazione può avere ingenti conseguenze economiche;

Come è facilmente intuibile dagli esempi citati, al giorno d‘oggi, per gli operatori del settore è essenziale essere avvertit in tempo di una possibile anomalia del proprio impianto, risparmiando tempo d‘intervento, con consegu-ente ritorno economico.

Swisscom abbandona la tecnologia 2G nel 2020

Swisscom ed altri fornitori di telecomunicazioni hanno presentato già da tempo i loro progetti per lo spegnimento della rete 2G (GSM). Per oltre 20 anni, il segnale GSM ha accompagnato il mercato M2M, ma le compagnie telefoniche, purtroppo, hanno deciso di abbandonare questa tecnologia. In risposta alla decisione di Swisscom di abbandonare la rete 2G entro il 2020, Elbro AG ha provveduto ad aggiornare la tutta serie SMS-Butler con la più recente tecnologia 3G (UMTS).
