12
Möglichkeiten zur Erhöhung der Gasausbeute
• Einschätzung des Potentials durch Desintegration
• Bereits aktuell hoher oTR-Abbau (rd. 57%)
sinnvoll
• Übernahme von Co-Substraten
• Erhöhung des Schlammanfalls [kg oTS/a]
• Optimierung der Stromerzeugung
• Einsatz verbesserter Motorentechnik im KLW I und KLW II
Possibilities of Increasing the Gas Yield
• Estimation of Potential through Desintegration
• Presently higher degredation of volatile solids (approx. 57%)
• Gas output of 560 l/kg volatile solids is also relatively high
• Energy retention in digested sludge is required for the incineration unit
• Disintegration for increasing the spezific gas production in digester is not meaningful
• Acceptance of Co-Substrates
• Increase of sludge production (kg volatile solids/a)
• Optimization of energy generation
• Implementation of improved engine technology in WWTP I + II

Einfluss auf Wärmenutzung
• Neue Motorentechnik im BHKW führt zu
• Erhöhung des elektrischen Wirkungsgrads und
• Verringerung des thermischen Wirkungsgrads µth von 50% auf 42%
• Bislang 100% Wärmedeckung im Winter
=> zukünftig: Intelligentes Wärmemanagement erforderlich
• Weiterhin Wärmeüberschuss im Sommer
=> ggf. Nutzung der überschüssigen Wärme (als Kälte) möglich
Influence on Heat Utilization
• New Engine Technology CHP results in
• increased electrical efficiency and
• reduced thermal effiency
• presently 100% Coverage in Winter
=> Future intellegent heat

• Exzess heat in Summer will continue

Zusammenfassung aus Sicht der MSE
• Abwasserreinigung behält oberste Priorität; Energie unterstützt den Prozess
• Bilanzrahmen betrifft beide Klärwerke inkl. Verbrennung
Summary from MSE Standpoint
• The treatment of wastewater remains highest priority; energy only supports the process
• Framework encompasses both WWTP I + II including sludge incineration
• Accurate determination of current load factor (PE)
• Comparisons using literature values must be carefully differentiated
• „Energetically self-sustained WWTP“ is possible only in average and only possible
with reduced energy consumption and new technologies
20
Zusammenfassung aus Sicht der MSE
• Neue Motorentechnik (GOM mit ORC) ist aktuell die wirtschaftlichste Lösung
für München
• Wärme- bzw. Kältebilanz muss in energetischer Gesamtbetrachtung
enthalten sein
• Externe Energiequellen (Co-Vergärung, Photovoltaik) ggf. ergänzend
• Anschluss an EVU bleibt unumgänglich
Summary from MSE Standpoint (continued)
• Heating and cooling balances need to be evalued in respect to total energie requirements
• External energy sources (co-fermentation, photo voltaic) can be supplemented as needed
• Connection to the Power Supply Company (PSC) remains absolutely necessary
• New engine technology (gas engine with organic rankine cycle „ORC“) is presently the
most economic solution for Munich
