The investment during the fourth program phases (2007 - 2013) are 60 Millions Euro per year Coordination in Germany by the Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst (DAAD) in Bonn The Know-how first of all German, French or Dutch

scientists has to support the development of curricula construction of studies the collaboration of universities together with

the economy



TEMPUS is not a one-way street:

The Technische Universität Dresden( 2010 honored as the most active German TEMPUS-university by the DAAD) uses the programme

for the improvement of the market chances and

construction of networking in Europe



TEMPUS joints the Russian Federation to Europe

Among all the countries of the TEMPUS partners the German universities carry out the most TEMPUS projects together with the Russian Federation:One quarter of the approved projects with German participation since 2007 have partners in the Russian Federation

Title of the project: Life-Long Learning Framework for Medical University Teaching Staff

Goal: growth of the quality and comparison in medical education

Problem: What are the possibilities to improve the education of medical teachers in an international context?



Methode: three task forces are busy with different aspects:

1. Qualification of the medical teachers (teach the teacher)

2. Securing and controlling of the quality (assessment and evaluation)

3. Linguistic (Intercultural aspects)



Zu 1. What kind of programmes are already existing

to qualify teachers for teaching?

What are the conditions to recognize existing modulated education-programmes complete or in part mutually?



Zu 2.

Development of standards to make it possible to compare

the courses of study

and the further education of the teachers



Zu 3.

Intercultural as necessity, to esteem the

„business of science“ of the partners and

to be competent in this structure.



Results:

Comparison of existing modules for the qualification of the medical teaching staff and the assessment of the qualification.

Quality assurance of the students‘ education



Results:

Comparison and and mutual acceptance

are set as goals and are recommended to

the committees for making decisions



ConclusionsDifferent conditions in the medical education may

allow only a minimal. But a mutual recognition only of individual modules, assessments etc. on an international level has to be considered as a quantum leap.
