N. 169.11 I by Professor Ceraski that the star whose position is RA. 4h48m34', Decl. +80D 5!8 (1900) is a variable of the Algol type. A careful watch has been kept of it by Mr. L. Campbell which showed that it was faint on the evenings of Sept. I, 14, and Oct. 21, 1905. A period of 12.5 days is thus indicated. EP. J. D. G. M. It will be noticed that the period 12d42 is longer than J. PaZisa. From an examination by hlrs. Fleming of the photographs taken with the Cooke Anastigmat, it appears that the minima are nearly represented by the formula, J.D. 241001 1.4+12.42E.
