OUTSTANDING QUALITY WITH UNIQUE ORIGINS Our production facilities are located just a few kilometres away from some important archaeo-logical sites. An ancient form of craftsmanship that originated in the unique types of soil found in the Peloponnese. Impressive artefacts stand testament to the truly special nature of this region. We made a good thing even better. By combining five different types of soil, we ma-naged to make terraneo frost resistant up to -50°C. And without having to compromise on the characteristic permeability of terracotta.

AUSSERGEWÖHNLICHE QUALITÄT MIT EINZIG-ARTIGER HERKUNFT Nur wenige Kilometer entfernt von unserer Produktionsstätte finden sich bedeutende Ausgrabungsstätten. Eine jahrtausendalte Handwerkskunst findet ihren Ursprung in den einzigartigen Erden der Pele-ponnes. Beeindruckende Artefakte zeugen von der Besonderheit dieser Region. Gutes noch besser machen. Durch die Kombination von 5 Erden ist es uns gelungen, terraneo bis -50° C frostbeständig zu machen, ohne die charakte-ristische Diffusionsoffenheit der Terrakotta zu beeinträchtigen.

QUALITÉ EXTRAORDINAIRE ET ORIGINE UNIQUE Des sites de fouilles importants sont situés à quelques kilomètres seulement de notre ate-lier de production. Un artisanat d'art millénaire trouve son origine dans le caractère unique des terres du Péloponnèse. Des artéfacts impressi-onnants témoignent de la particularité de cette région. Faire encore mieux. En combinant 5 types de terre, nous sommes parvenus à rendre terraneo résistante au gel jusqu'à -50° C, sans compromettre pour autant la perméabilité de la terre cuite.

Creazioni di artigianato artistico vecchie di millenni che traggono origine dalla terra unica del Peloponneso. Manufatti straordinari che testi-moniano l'eccezionalità di questa regione. Tuttavia, è sempre possibile migliorare ciò che è già bello. Attraverso la combinazione di 5 terre diverse, siamo riusciti a rendere terraneo resis-tente al gelo e a temperature fino a -50° C senza pregiudicare la caratteristica traspirabilità della terracotta.

Winter care The best plan is to store both the plant and the pot in a dry, sheltered place. If the plant is hardy and is to be left outside, please note the following: Containers that remain outdoors during the winter months need a drainage hole. Please ensure that the container is drained properly. As an alternative, cover the drainage hole with a drainage layer of expan-ded clay and fibre fleece. Otherwise snow and rainwater will remain in the container and turn into ice and expand when temperatures drop below zero. This may cause the container to shatter. We recommend placing containers under a covered location where you can de-termine the amount of water. If the containers are not equipped with integrated bases, support the containers with separate bases. Otherwise the container may become fasten-ed to the level surface on which it is placed through the capillary force of the roots which may cause frost damage to parts touching the ground. During the winter months, trays have to be removed or turned over to prevent any ice from forming, which in turn may cause the container to shatter. Take care to prevent water from gathering in empty receptacles. It is best to store all empty containers indoors, turn them upside-down or cover them.

PFLANZGEFÄSSE

Winterpflege Idealerweise sollten Pflanze und Gefäß an einem wettergeschützten, trockenen Ort überwintern. Ist die Pflanze winterhart und soll auch im Winter draußen bleiben, gilt es Folgendes zu beachten: Töpfe, die im Winter draußen bleiben, müssen eine Ablauföffnung haben. Achten Sie auf eine funktionierende Drainage. Alternativ decken Sie den Ablauf mit einer Drainageschicht aus Blähton und einem Gärtnervlies ab. Sonst bleibt das Regen- oder Schneewasser in den Töpfen stehen, wird bei Frost zu Eis und dehnt sich aus. Der Topf wird gesprengt. Grundsätzlich besser ist ein überdachter Standort, an dem Sie die Menge des Gießwassers bestimmen können. Falls die Gefäße nicht schon mit integrierten Füsschen ausgestattet sind, bocken Sie die Gefäße mit separaten Füsschen auf, damit überschüs-siges Wasser auch abfließen kann. Sonst saugt sich auf ebenen Flächen das Gefäß durch die Kapillarkraft der Wurzeln förmlich fest, so dass ein Frostschaden am Boden entstehen kann. Untersetzer müssen im Winter weggenommen oder umgedreht wer-den, damit sich keine Eisplatte bildet, die zum Absprengen des Gefäßbodens führen kann. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass sich auch in leeren Gefäßen kein Wasser ansammeln kann. Am besten alle leeren Gefäße innen lagern bzw. auf den Kopf stellen oder abdecken.

Entretien pendant l’hiver Idéalement, la plante devrait passer l’hiver dans son pot dans un endroit protégé et sec. Si plante résiste au froid et doit rester à l’extérieur pendant l’hiver, veuillez tenir compte des conseils suivants : Les bacs et les pots qui restent à l’extérieur pendant l’hiver doivent posséder un orifice d’écoulement de l’eau. Assurez-vous que votre système de drainage est efficace. Si les pieds ne sont pas déjà intégrés aux pots, mettez les pots sur des pieds séparés. Sinon, l’eau de pluie ou la neige fondue stagneront dans les pots et se transformera en glace en cas de gel et dilatera le pot qui éclatera. Il est préférable de placer le pot dans un endroit couvert où vous pourrez estimer la quantité d’eau s’écoulant. Nous vous recom-mandons vivement de placer les pots sur nos « patins » afin que l’excédent d’eau puisse aussi s’écouler. En effet, sur une surface plane, le pot est « aspiré » par la force capillaire des racines, l’eau ne peut plus s’écouler et le fond risque d’être endommagé par le gel. Les soucoupes doivent être retirées ou retournées en hiver afin d’éviter la formation d’une plaque de glace pouvant entraîner le détachement du fond. Veillez à ce que l’eau ne s’accumule pas, même dans les bacs vides. De préférence, entreposez les pots et bacs vides à l’intérieur ; sinon, recouvrez-les.

Manutenzione invernale Durante il periodo invernale sarebbe bene posizionare piante e vasi in un luogo asciutto e protetto dalle intemperie. Se la pianta è resistente al freddo e viene lasciata in esterno anche in inverno, è bene attenersi alle segu-enti indicazioni: I vasi che vengono lasciati all’aperto durante l’inverno devono avere un canale di scolo. Predisponete un sistema di drenaggio efficace. In alternativa, coprite lo scarico con uno strato drenante di argilla espansa e coprite con un panno in tessuto non tessuto per evitare il ristagno di pioggia e neve, che con il freddo potrebbero congelare rischiando così di danneggiare le superfici. La soluzione migliore sarebbe posizionare i vasi in un luogo coperto, in modo da poter regolare la quantità d’acqua di irrigazione. Se i vasi non sono dotati di piedini integrati, rialzare i vasi con piedini acquistati separatamente. Nel caso in cui il vaso poggi su una superficie piana, infatti, l’azione capillare delle radici può portare alla deformazione permanente del fondo del vaso, che potrebbe quindi essere danneggiatto da gelo. I sottovasi in inverno devono essere capovolti o rimossi, in modo che l’acqua in essi contenuti non formi una lastra di ghiaccio che potrebbe poi danneggiare il fondo del vaso. Evitate inoltre il ristagno d’acqua nei vasi vuoti, conser-vandoli all’interno oppure capovolgendoli e ricoprendoli.
