Cherie’s Promotion History

We  asked  Cherie...

What  is  your  husband's  name?  Troy  Rodriguez

Kids  names  &  ages?  Brayden  -‐  12  and  Taylor    -‐  10

What   was   your   biggest   roadblock   on   your   way   to   NED?   My   biggest   challenge   has   been   finding   the   most   effective   way   to   share   the  possibilities  of  this  business  for  New  Consultants  and  engaging  them  to  work  with  me  to  design  what  their  business  can  look  like  for  them.

What   is   your   best   tip   for   a   director   to   help   her   get   to   Senior   Director?  Work   your   business   to   the  max   that   you   can!     Build   on   that  momentum  to  take  it  to  the  next  level.  Your  Team  will  FOLLOW  the  LEADER.  Challenge  them  to  follow  you!  Invest  your  time  in  those  who  want  to  Move  Mountains  with  you.

What  are  your  office  hours?  Monday  &  Wednesday  –  10-‐3,  Tuesday  and  Thursday  -‐  9-‐3,  Tuesday  –  7:30-‐9:30pm

Do  you  have  an  assistant/assistants?  My  Husband  helps  with  certain  tasks  monthly  but  I  do  have  a  few  mentors  that  I  go  to  regularly  for  support  &  assistance  when  needed  with  projects  that  arise.

What  motivates  you  to  go  to  work  each  day?  Knowing  that  I  have  the  opportunity  to  help  these  women  change  their  lives.  Sometimes  they  just  need  to  know  that  we  believe  in  them,  when  they  think  no  one  else  does.  And  guide  them  on  how  to  be  successful.

Who  is  your  mentor  within  Thirty-‐One?  Outside  of  Thirty-‐One?  Mentors  within  Thirty-‐One…  SO  MANY!!      Mike  Clouse,  Paula  Seif,  Andrea  Dowding,  Courtney  Hawkins.  Outside  of  Thirty-‐One…  April  O’Leary  of  THEHIVE.com

What  training  did  you  use  to  help  you  promote?  Not  sure  what  I  used  for  training…  but  what  I  did  do  is  work  my  Business  HARD!    When  I  knew  that  it  was  a  possibility  that  I  could  double  promote  to  SD  and  ED  very  close  together,  I  planned  my  business  big!!  In  the  fall  of  2010  I  partied  …  A  LOT!!   I  wanted   to  build  my  team  and  be  sure   I  had  a  Really   Strong  Team!!  You  know  what??   IT  WORKED!!     I  promoted   in  December  that  year,  and  again  in  March.

What  is  your  most  favorite  part  of  your  business?  Having  new  ideas  and  creating  the  tools  to  make  it  reproducible  for  my  team  to  use  also.    Seeing  them  succeed  at  going  outside  the  box  and  accomplishing  something  they  did  not  believe  they  could  do    is  a  THRILL!!

What  is  your  favorite  Timesaving  App  on  your  phone/Ipad?  Why?  I  love  Word  Swag!!    I  can  quickly  create  an  image  with  cute  wording  and  load   it   onto   a   REDSTAMP   for   anything   I   need!!   Super   Fun   to   use   and   keep   teams,  customers,  and  everyone  else  engaged.

What   is   your   favorite  hobby  outside  of  Thirty-‐One?   Spending   time  with   friends  BBQing,  hanging  at  the  beach  and  taking  the  boat  out.

What   is   your   favorite   trip/destination   that   you   have   ever   been   on?   Before   I   earned  Leadership  Trips,  I  did  not  have  a  passport!!  So  anywhere  that  Thirty-‐One  Wants  to  put  a  stamp  in  it…  will  always  be  my  favorite!!

What  is  one  way  that  you  spoil  yourself?  A  few  hours  at  the  spa..  or  a  few  hours  just  layin  like  bacon  by  the  pool!

What  is  your  best  Timesaving  tip?  Make  a  list  of  the  3  things  you  want  to  accomplish  each  day  and  do  nothing  else  until  those  3  things  are  done.  Be   intentional  about  what  those  3  things  are  and  make  sure  they  are  business  building  tasks.

Do  you   do   incentives   for   your   team   on  a   regular   basis?    If   so,   please   give  an   example  of  what   type   of   incentive.   I   have  been   doing   an  incentive  called  POWER  CARDS.  Each  month  I  set  the  criteria  of  what  it  takes  to  earn  a  Power  Card.  When  they  earn  6,  they  have  to  send  them  back  to  me  to  trade  them  in  for  a  Gift  Certificate  in  their  back  office.      The  Criteria  is  always  a  business  building  task.  And  it  is  their  responsibility  to  keep  track  of  their  Power  Cards.  It  is  teaching  my  team  to  be  intentional  with  their  business  and  work  towards  a  goal.

Growing  a  team  truly  changed  for  me  when  I  truly  believed  I  had   a   gift   to   offer!   Be  confident   in  what   you   do,   be  genuine   with   sharing,   and  invite  everyone!        Beth  Bramlett,  Executive  Director

My  5  recruits   in  October  all  came  from  conversations   being   started,  relationships   being   built,   knowing  that  sometimes   "no"   just   means   "not  right   now,"   following   up,   and  encouraging   prayer   on   both   my   end  and  theirs.

Kelli  Trusedell,  Senior  Consultant

At  our  C&C  meeting  I  was  personally  challenged  with  recruiting  just  2  people  by  month-‐end.    I  decided  it  was  finally  time  to  pay  it  forward,  and  share  Thirty-‐One  with  those  that  I  love,  and  4  of  them  said  YES!

Angela  Munsie,  Consultant

Prayer  and  persistence  was  key   in  getting   four  new  team  members   this  month!    Keep  sharing   the   gift   of   a   31   business,   even   when   a   customer   or   hostess   tells   you  no...persistence  can  change  their  answer  to  a  resounding  YES!!!

Mandy  Vipperman,  Senior  Consultant

Truly  no  secret,  but  I  am  very  consistent  on  my  follow  up  and  most  importantly  making  our   job  duplicable!    Hostesses  want  easy,  so  I  give  them  easy!    Find  out  what  they  like  most  about  Thirty  One;  Product,  girl  time,  money....whatever  their  Why  is  and  give  them  the  reason  why  Thirty  One  can  help  with  that  why!

Sharon  Cowherd,  Director

I   really   focused   on   booking   at   my  September  parties  and  following  up  with  hostesses   from   last   fall.    Then   I  worked  almost  all  my  parties  to  $1200+  by  hostess  coaching  and  follow  up  goals  after   the   party.    My   hostesses   all   go  in  with  the  goal  of  a  $1200  party!    Natalie  Uhlenkamp,  Senior  Director

I  never  have  to  call   for  bookings,   I  do  my  best  not   to   leave  a  party  w/o   scheduling  at   least  2  more   &   I   strongly   believe   in   great   customer  service!!  But  God   also   gets   credit....he   is   truly  blessing  me/my  business!!

Rosanna  Kurtz,  consultant

I   focus   on   selling   add   ons   and   adding  personalization   to   every   product   my  customers   order.   (Don't   forget   to   offer  personalization   on   the   monthly   special)  Hostess  Stacking  is  my  go  to  for  booking  at  the  party.    Amy  Hansen,  Executive  Director

My sales this month came from effective hostess coaching. Telling my hostess where they are at after the party and having them work for a $1200 party. Inviting in multiple ways (red stamp, mailed invitation and Facebook invitation) to get the 10-12 at the party. This month I talked about holiday shopping and shared gift ideas to get ladies in the mindset for gift purchasing. Rhonda Sebade, Director

The   biggest   thing   that   has   made   a  difference   in  my   home  parties   has   been  the   blended   invitation   approach.  Everyone   gets   a   mini   catalog   as   their  invite   addressed   to   "Susie   and  Guest",   3  weeks  in  advance.  Two  weeks  in  advance  they  get  a  facebook  invitation,  one  week  in  advance  a  redstamp,  two  days  before,  another   redstamp   and   a   phonecall  reminder   the   day   of   (thanks   to  phonevite.com)I  I  encourage  hostesses  to  invite  40-‐60  to  the  party.  Julie  Timm,  Senior  Executive  Director

My  sales  this  month  came  from  Home  Parties  I  booked  in  August   and   September.     I   use   a   blended   invitation  approach   of   mini   catalogs,   e-‐mails,   texts,   and   a   FB  event  to  have  good  guest  attendance.    This  along  with  consistent  hostess   coaching   for  good  attendance  and  outside   orders   makes   for   a   great   party   and   a   happy  hostess!  =)                  Amber  Taylor,  Director

Truly  no  secret,  but  I  am  very  consistent  on  my  follow  up  and  most  importantly  making  our  job   duplicatable! Sharon  Cowherd,  Senior  Director
