We are pleased to invite all guitarists to the International Festival „FORUM GITARRE WIEN 2014“.

Because of the big demand that we had in the last years, we have made it also possible to register just for the competitions. As usual, also all the active participants can participate in the competitions.

As one of our goals is to promote young guitarists, it was very important to us to make the two International Competitions attractive. The winners will receive a valuable instrument made by CONSTANTIN DUMITRIU, nine concerts in Euro-pe, money prizes, material prizes, gift certificates and scholarships.The String Teachers Association Austria (ESTA) has donated two additional pri-zes for the “Best Interpretation of Contemporary Music” as wells as the “Best Austrian Competition Participant”.

In the interest of youth promotion, there will be concerts of the competition winners of Forum Gitarre Wien 2013, Oman Kaminsky und Jeseok Bang, as well as three afternoon concerts with Antun Iveković, Yorgos Nousis and acti-ve festival participants.

As in past years, the location is the centrally situated „Konservatorium für Musik und Dramatische Kunst“. Its unique historical charm and the comfortab-le restaurants where all the festival participants meet for lunch and after the concerts create a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere.

We have organized accommodation and meals at favourable prices for all participants. They can have lunch together with artists, guitar makers and publishers.With our program for children and youth (G-orchestra & competition) we want to encourage the musical spirit in young guitarists and help them start into the professional world of music.

International music publishers, guitar builders (with special guitar presentati-ons) and music shops will present instruments, scores and „everything you can think of dealing with the guitar“.We wish you a pleasant and successful week!
