Next Generation Internet An Open Internet Initiative

Die Europäische Kommission hat im Herbst 2016 eine neue Initiative im

Bereich Next Generation Internet gestartet.

• hohe Priorität in H2020

Sie wird gewährleisten, dass das zukünftige Internet sich mehr am Menschen

und dessen Fähigkeiten orientiert. Hierbei stehen vor allem auch die

Europäischen Werte wie Offenheit, grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit,

Dezentralisierung, Vermeidung von Ausgrenzung, Transparenz aber auch der

Schutz der Privatsphäre im Mittelpunkt.

Die NGI-Initiative ist auf lange Zeit ausgelegt und soll sich vorerst vor allem

neuen Technologiefeldern – wie zum Beispiel dem verbesserten Schutz

privater Daten oder neuen Architekturen des Internets und dezentralen

Datensystemen sowie neuartigen ‚Discovery tools’– widmen.

Gemeinsam mit (jungen) Forschern, Startups und KMUs will die Europäische

Kommission im Rahmen eines neuen, schnelleren und flexibleren

Arbeitsprogramm neue Internet-Technologien erschließen, fördern und die

Forschung vorantreiben, um mit dieser Initiative das Internet der Zukunft zu

gestalten.
