Note: each volume of the 20 leaflet series available at the moment is a complete documentation. The leaflets of each series are illustrated in colour and are listed in abibliography in every volume.In addition an introduction and an appendix provide an insight into secret organisationswhich produced and disseminated billions of single information sheets and organizeddissemination in enemy territory.Each leaflet series and volume is arranged chronologically i.e. in the order leaflets hadbeen dispatched and received by the individual civilian or soldieron the other side of thefront. The format of the volumes is 23 x 32 cm or 21 x 30 cm respectively. The numbers of pages per volume vary from 250 to over 700 and the weight from over 2 to over 4 Kilograms. Stalin sspeaks tto AAlsatians iin RRussia. Soviet aaerial ppropaganda lleaflets aaddressed tto AAlsacians wwhofought iin tthe GGerman WWehrmacht 11942 tto 11945.Stalin’s Soviet propagandists addressed some of their leaflets to a relatively smallpart of the German Wehrmacht, a minority group of young German speakingAlsatians who had to serve together with German soldiers in Russia. But besidesthese few addressees this campaign was intended to reach all the ordinary Germansoldiers as well. They were made to believe that there were some soldiers amongstthem who had a good reason for not wanting to die for Hitler and were notprepared to do their utmost. Some of these leaflets contained the names andaddresses of Alsatian soldiers taken prisoner by the Red Army: “Weeks after I had been taken prisoner in Russia my wife found two leaflets in hergarden, which had been disseminated in Russia reporting my capture. AnotherAlsatian soldier had evidently brought the leaflets home on leave and droppedthem in our garden. Enemy LLeaflets DDuring tthe BBattles ffor AAachen.”Aachen, the first major German town occupied in 1944 by American troops wasalso a battle fought with the non-lethal weapons of psychological warfare. Thirty different leaflets disseminated by both sides are documented and describedin German. An example is reproduced above:“This darling daughter of a GI is waiting in vain. Her daddy was killed in actionin the Aachen sector. She will never understand what for...”.The complete leaflet is reproduced in volume 16, page 386. On the reverse a US-newspaper is reporting: “Nazis Found Fair to Yank Wounded...”

Description:After printing of the lafelts wasdone on the order of the 6, the6 leaflet dissemination teamtook over, rolled the leaflets andplaced them inside the rockets“Propaganda Geschoß 41” (PrGs 41) (see illustration). On receiving information whereleaflets could be disseminatedwith best results Wehrmachtcommand was informed andsubsequently front line soldiersevacuated to avoid losses byretaliatory fire from Americanartillery. The 6dissemination team droveup close to the front line, set uptheir launchers, and fired them.The leaflet rockets left the firingpad leaving a trail of smoke andfire which was easily detected byAmerican observers. Then thelaunchers were quickly dumpedon trucks and everybody tookoff rapidly to avoid theAmerican artillery fire.

6-LLeaflet RRockets ffor SSaleOffered for sale are leaflet rockets “Propaganda Geschoß 41” (Pr Gs 41).The rockets are deactivated and completely empty of propellant, black powder orleaflets. In the first years after World War II it was occasionally possible to findleaflet rockets “Pr Gs 41” which had misfired and buried themselves below ground.The leaflet rockets offered here come from my collection. They are complete andconsist of the following parts:

Rocket body, as illustrated below with anticorrosive paint on outside.Bakelite nose cap.Tube with split case to accommodate leaflet roll and keep it from crinkling.Baffle plate to push the leaflet roll out of the rocket tube.Spreading spring to open the roll of leaflets after ejection.

The rocket body is about 16 inches in length, with a maximum external diameterof 2,9 inches and a weight of less than 7 lbs. The interesting parts are the baseventing venturis, half of which are inclined to rotate and stabilized the rocket inflight, see the illustration.Due tto tthe aactual ““War oon TTerror”, sshipment iis nnot ppossible.
