Busbar cover forarc chute venting space

Space required above arc chutesMinimum clearance to adjacent earthed parts and to uninsulated live parts.Uninsulated cables and bars must be insulated with phase-separation barriers within the venting space above the arc chutes.

Busbar cover for front busbar connection pieces for 3VF7 and 3VF8 circuit-breakers(not available)For 3VF7 and 3VF8 circuit-breakers, this insulation can be provided by a cover custom-made by the user (e. g. insulated busbar cover). This must be fitted so that the circuit-breaker arc chute vents lie out-side the segregated busbar space. The protective cover is fixed to the switchboard structure.

The cutouts necessary for adequate segregation in the plate at the upper edge of the circuit-breaker can be seen from the dimension drawing below.
