The trade fair and festival FEINWERK – Markt für echte Dinge
(market for real stuff) is a hub for modern design, high quality
crafts and exceptional gastronomy. In addition, the fair offers
live music and numerous workshops. Every autumn, more than 100
domestic and international exhibitors take over the courtyards,
barns and workshops of Schloss Fasanerie.
The Fürstliche Gartenfest (royal garden party) is one of
Germany’s most renowned garden exhibitions. The event takes place
twice each year: at Schloss Fasanerie in May and at Schloss
Wolfsgarten near Langen in September. More than 170 exhibitors
offer an exceptional diversity of plants, home and garden crafts as
well as culinary treats.

Since 1947, Gut Panker has been breeding Trakehner horses. The
stud farm offers a worthy setting and ideal conditions for the
conscientious breeding of Germany’s noblest and oldest race of
warmblood horses.
Gut Panker/Schmoel/Osterade is an agricultural and forestry
estate, situated in the North German federal state of Schleswig
Holstein and owned by the House of Hesse. Successful cultivation is
fostered by the vicinity of the Baltic Sea, the high-quality soils
and careful management. The village Gutsdorf Panker comprises the
hotel and restaurant Ole Liese, the Restaurant Forsthaus
Hessenstein, small shops, a chapel and a RuheForst (a green burial
resting place in a forest).

Historic hideaway. Reside like nobility in this former palace of
the Empress Friedrich. Perched above the little town of Kronberg im
Taunus, set amidst ample castle gardens and featuring an 18-hole

This ensemble of listed buildings and English landscape gardens
was established in the mid-18th century as the summer residency of
the prince bishop. Today, the palace is owned by the House of Hesse
Cultural Foundation. Apart from the permanent exhibition of Royal
residential culture, it hosts also an annual special exhibition
showcasing artefacts owned by the foundation. Schloss Fasanerie
also delights visitors with a broad range of annual events,
including concerts and open air theatre performances.

Located in Johannisberg im Rheingau, the winery Prinz von Hessen
is one of Germany’s eminent producers of Riesling and a founding
member of VDP, the Association of German "Excellence Wine Estates".
The excellent quality of the estate’s wines and sparkling wines is
reflected in numerous national and international awards. The
Riesling wines of the Weingut Prinz von Hessen grow in the premium
vineyards of the Rheingau region. These include such renowned sites
as Johannisberger Klaus, Winkeler Hasensprung and Winkeler
Jesuitengarten. 95% of the estate’s vineyard sites are dedicated to
the cultivation of Riesling.
