Stammblatt und Segmente werden beim Trockenschnitt thermisch hoch belastet. Trockenschnittscheiben können für Nassschnittarbeiten eingesetzt werden, wobei jedoch darauf zu achten ist, daß die Maschinen für diesen Ein-satz zugelassen sind. Durch die Wasserkühlung haben die Scheiben eine längere Lebensdauer.

With dry cutting discs there is a high thermal burden on the steel core and the segments. Dry cutting discs may be used for wet cutting too, however, please ensure that your machine is permitted for that job. Wet cutting gives the disc a longer life.

Segmentformen – Segment typesDiamantscheiben sind mit unterschiedlichen Segment-formen lieferbar, die die Qualitäten der Schnittkanten bestimmen. Je enger die Verzahnung der Segmente, desto sauberer wird die Schnittkante. Für eine gute Kühlung und hohe Schnitttiefe in weichem Material sorgt dagegen die segmentierte und weite Verzahnung des Stammblattes.

Diamond discs are available in several different segment types, which determine the quality of the cutting edge. The continuous rim type will produce a cleaner cut, whilst a segmented disc will provide a more aggressive cut with an excellent cooling action.
