Wir freuen uns, unsere neueste Version "Teamcenter Product Cost Management 8.1" vorstellen zu können.

Wichtiger Hinweis!

Bitte beachten Sie, dass wir mit Release 8.1 von Teamcenter Product Cost Management unsere

Entwicklungsumgebung auf Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 verschoben haben. Die Aktualisierung auf die 8.1 und

nachfolgende Releases ist nur möglich, wenn Ihre IT -Umgebung auch auf diesem .NET Framework aktualisiert wird.

Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihre IT-Abteilung sich dieser bevorstehenden Veränderung bewusst ist.

Vorläufige Informationen über Änderungen der Benutzerlizenz -Zuordnung für die Zukunft:

Heute ist die TcPCM-Lizenzdatei "user-based"; Dies bedeutet, dass ein oder mehrere Lizenzschlüssel (z. B.

Produktkalkulation, Werkzeugkalkulation, Inhalt etc.) einem Benutzernamen zugewiesen werden.

In Zukunft wird die Lizenzdatei nicht "benutzerbasiert" sein, aber die Li zenzdatei enthält einfach Informationen

darüber, wie viele Produkt-IDs (ehemalige Lizenzschlüssel) der Kunde gekauft hat. Der Kunde hat die Möglichkeit,

die gewünschten Produkt-IDs ihren Nutzern zuzuordnen. Darüber hinaus können TcPCM-Kunden in der Lage sein,

ihre Produkt-ID-Zuweisungen für ihre Nutzer selbst auf einer monatlichen Kadenz zu ändern.

Ab Version 8.2 ist dieses Verhalten obligatorisch und die heutige Lizenzdatei wird nicht mehr unterstützt.

Überblick Dieses Dokument beschreibt die Änderungen zwischen Teamcenter Product Cost Management Version 8.0

Maintenance Pack 2 (Build Postfix "8.0 MP2 Release") und Version 8.1 (Build Postfix "8.1 Release").

Neue Funktionen

Einführung Release 8.0 war eine "echte" Hauptversion mit einem ganz neuen Konzept im Bereich Stammdatenmanagement und Verbrauch, Suche und Klassifizierung 8.1 konzentriert sich auf mehrere kleinere Themen, Verbesserungen der Usability und konsequentes Pol ieren von Fähigkeiten, die mit 8.0 eingeführt wurden. Die folgenden Informationen beschreiben kurz die wichtigsten Änderungen und neue Funktionalität, die mit dieser Version eingeführt wurden. Darüber hinaus gibt es mehrere weitere Verbesserungen und einige Verhaltensänderungen und Fehlerbehebungen, die in den folgenden Abschnitten beschrieben werden. Bitte beachten Sie auch die "What's New" -Dokumentation (auf der Website und auch in der F1-Hilfe), die auch die mit 8.0 MP1 und 8.0 MP2 freigegebenen Funktio nen dokumentiert.

Volltextsuche Erweiterungen Nach der Einführung der Volltextsuche nach Stammdaten in 8.0 und Produktkostenberechnungen in 8.0 MP2 ist es nun auch möglich, nach Werkzeug- und Projektberechnungen sowie für Teile zu suchen. So wurde die Suchfunktionalität über die Lösung hinweg harmonisiert und die alte Suche wurde entfernt. Neben der Erweiterung der Volltextsuche auf alle Artikel gibt es mehrere Konfigurations - und Filterverbesserungen innerhalb der Volltextsuche selbst.

Flexiblere Kostenfaktoren Sie können jetzt Ihre eigenen Kostenfaktoren wie Skill -Level oder Energiekosten, so dass Sie nicht an die Standard-Kosten Faktoren mit dem Produkt geliefert gebunden sind. Dies ist besonders nützlich, wenn Sie eigene Stammdaten erstellen.

Neue Stammdaten Federmaterialien in Stanzwerkzeugen Die Möglichkeit, die Kosten für Standardteile im Werkzeugkalkulationsmodul zu beeinflussen, wurde auf Federn in

Stanzwerkzeugen erweitert. Nun ist es möglich, einzelne Frühjahrskosten in die Stammdaten einzugeben und diese

automatisch in die Berechnung zuzuordnen.

TC-BOM-Import-Erweiterung: flexible Zuordnung von Eigenschaften zwischen TC und

TcPCM Sie können nun alle vorhandenen Stücklistenpositionsattribute von Teamcenter importieren und sie in Standard- und Klassifizierungseigenschaften in TCPCM abbilden. Darüber hinaus können Sie beim Importieren einer Stückliste von Teamcenter zu Teamcenter Produktkostenmanagement jetzt Konvertierungsregeln erstellen, die Ihnen helfen, Werte konsequent abzubilden (z. Kundenfelder für Werkzeuge und Projekt Sie können nun benutzerdefinierte Felder in einem Projekt oder eine Werkzeugberechnung mit der in 8.0 eingeführten Klassifizierung erstellen. Aufgrund der Vererbung des Klassifikationsbaums ist es nun einfacher, benutzerdefinierte Felder entweder auf globa ler Werkzeugebene oder für spezifische Werkzeugtechnologien zu definieren. Auf alle benutzerdefinierten Felder können über Import und Exporte zugegriffen werden, z.B. können werksspezifische Felder auch in das Cost-Breakdown-Sheet exportiert werden.

Die Qualität des Preisnachschlages anzeigen Sie können nun einen Indikator im Berechnungsbericht anzeigen, der die Qualität der Suche nach einem Preis anzeigt. Die Anzeige zeigt "full match", "fallback match" oder "manuell" an, je nachdem, wie oft die Suchsuche exakte Übereinstimmungen findet. Wenn es zum Beispiel einen Preis findet, der allen Kriterien in der Berechnung entspricht, wird in der Spalte "Nachschlagequalität" das Wort "Vollabgleich" angezeigt.

Material Maß Kalkulator Vorlagen können Sie jetzt Ihre eigenen Klassifikationen in den Massenrechnern verwendet definieren.

Die Reihenfolge der Ausführung in Massendatenänderung kann nun geändert werden, wobei zu berücksichtigen ist, dass sie Einfluss auf das Berechnungsergebnis haben kann.

Die Werkzeugliste kann nun in jede beliebige Excel-Vorlage exportiert und mit projektspezifischen Feldern und Basisinformationen kombiniert werden.

Mehrere Erweiterungen im Quick-Editor wie das Anzeigen von Kommentaren, zentral verwalteten Konfigurationen oder die Suche nach vielen Objekten wie Region oder Anlage.

Hinzufügung der koreanischen Sprache

Integration von VisView Mit dem Product Costing Viewer können Sie 3D-Dateien basierend auf dem ISO-zertifizierten JT-Dateiformat anzeigen und analysieren. Dieses Format enthält geometrische Informationen, z. B.:

Bei der Beschreibung von 3D-Modellen verwendet Teamcenter-Product Cost Management eine Kombination aus grundlegenden und maschinenabhängigen Parametern, um die geome trischen Abmessungen des Bauteils widerzuspiegeln. Es gibt mehrere Methoden, um die erforderlichen Parameter zu erhalten. Sie können Parameter in den Anfangsphasen direkt eingeben, um die Größe des Bauteils grob abzuschätzen. Sie können auch automatisch ermittelte Abmessungen verwenden. Dies kann zu einer Situation führen, bei der grundlegende und fertigungsabhängige Parameterwerte aus verschiedenen Quellen stammen. Die Werte, die Sie für die einzelnen Modi festlegen, werden gespeichert, sodass Sie zwischen den Werten wechseln können. Sie können beispielsweise manuell einen Wert für den Parameter Min. Länge festlegen, indem Sie den Wert in das Feld eingeben. Wenn das 3D-Modell später verfügbar ist, können Sie den Parameter mit dem Produktkosten-Viewer extrahieren. Beide Werte (manuell und extrahiert) werden gespeichert, sodass Sie über die Liste rechts neben dem Parameterwert zwischen den Werten umschalten können. Die Werte aus den verschiedenen Quellen sind gleichzeitig verfügbar.

With 8.1, the “Language” and the “Locale” are individually selectable from the Login screen. This functionality replaces the settings for “Language” and “Language schema” under “Administration” -> “Settings (user defaults)” resp. under “Options” -> “Settings”.

ER Full-text search 7712537 Enhanced search engine Full-text search enhanced by search for projects, tools and calculations

PR Full-text search In the part calculation search the filter types for customer-specific fields for parts, revisions and calculations are named 3 times "Custom fields classification group"

With 8.1, the 3 filters in the part calculation search are named as following: - Customer-specific fields for parts - Customer-specific fields for revisions - Customer-specific fields for calculations

PR Full-text search Using a * in front of a search string in the new full-text search is not working

Using a ‘*’ at the beginning of a search term as wildcard character is not possible. This feature is not provided by the FTS search Framework from Microsoft that TCPCM is using because a wildcard character at the beginning of a search term will cause performance issues. With 8.1 release a tool tip will be displayed when a user tries to use a ‘*’ as wildcard character at the beginning of a search term to inform the user that the ‘*’ is recognized by the search as a regular character.

PR Full-text search The performance for customer-specific fields for parts, revisions and calculations in the part calculation search is very slow

With 8.1, the performance for customer-specific fields for parts, revisions and calculations in the part calculation search has been improved.

PR Full-text search 7955173 The function "Delete (search query)" does not work appropriately

The function "Delete (search query)" in the full-text search did not work as expected. The function only deleted the visible results in the result view. This has been fixed. Now the function deletes all records from the search query, as expected.

Bug Full-text search Class properties under the technology classification filter in the full-text search are visible independent on the property usage

Class properties under a technology class are only shown based on the class property usage in the full-text search filter correlating to the searchable type.

Bug Full-text search In the full-text search for substances the label 'Substance standard' is not correct

The label 'Substance standard' has been changed to 'Designation' in the full-text search for Substances.

Bug Full-text search The units in the full-text search result view are not shown in the language the user is logged in

The units in the full-text search result view are now shown in the language in which the user is logged on.

Bug Classification The unit conversion for class properties from data type "Integer" causes problems in terms of rounding

To solve the unit conversion problem for class properties from data type "Integer", the unit was removed from the integer class property. Existing class properties from data type "Integer" which had a unit will be migrated to a class property from data type "Decimal value" and the places behind the decimal point will be set to 0. Also all other default values will be migrated.

PR Master Data Import / Export

7945007 Numeric property values for material price component details are not exported and imported in the unit of the numeric property

With TcPCM 8.1 release, the unit of the numeric property values from material price component details will be exported if configured in the export configuration for material price components. The numeric property value will always be exported in the unit of the class property. The import of numeric property values for material price component details will always import the numeric property value from the Excel file in the unit of the class

property. It is not necessary to configure the numeric property value unit in the import configuration anymore. Therefore the field name numeric property value unit has been removed from the import configuration.

Example: If the class property from type decimal has the unit mm and this numeric property is used for a material price component header the numeric property values of the material price component will be exported into the Excel file in mm and imported from the Excel file in mm.

PR Master Data / Migration

7870983 Customer specific cost factor details are migrated to the wrong client

When migrating to version 8.0 or higher, customer specific cost factor details are migrated to the client system and not to the client that was used in the production site in previous versions. This issue is fixed when migrating to 8.1. In order to avoid modifying already repaired data, only cost factor details with the following conditions will be repaired by the migration script: - The cost factor detail needs to be linked to the client system and - no second detail for the same region is available which has been created from a production site.

Bug Master Data Full Text Search

Several units cannot be found without removing the filter for browsable using the link field unit search

The externally managed units with the unique identifier Nm, 1, %, ppm, year, month and days have been set to

browsable = TRUE. With this change, the units can now be found by using the unit link field search without removing the browsable filter.

Bug Master Data Zeros are getting generated by clicking into empty numeric class properties

Zeros are no longer generated by clicking into empty numeric class properties. Numeric class property values can be deleted, and the field remains empty again.

Bug Master Data Red grid color of master data details is not refreshing after correcting the validation error

Creating a duplicate of an already existing master data detail causes a validation message after saving. Also the grid color of the duplicate details changes to red. If the validation error gets corrected, the red grid color will be removed.

Now the controlling manufacturing step has three fields which are: work center name and number and manufacturing step designation. Manufacturing step designation is always editable. All fields are reportable.

PR Product Costing Calculation

7847203 SG&A and ED&D default expanded not working as a default

The administrator can specify in the calculation methodology which overhead cost splitting should be used in the calculation. Before 8.1, the overhead cost splitting could become different to the one specified in the calculation methodology by assigning an overhead cost, or by using a submenu from the overhead cost views. It was possible to set 3 different kinds of calculation overheads for the 3 different views.

With 8.1, the user can no longer change the overhead cost splitting from the UI but needs to use different calculation methodologies for that purpose. This change in 8.1 leads to a new migration strategy: all possibilities of combinations in the UI before 8.1 will create a separate calculation methodology. If customers had more than one combination in one BOM the BOM in 8.1 will use more than one calculation methodology.

The icon of procurement type "in-house manufacturing" was used for parts with procurement type "purchase with overheads". This has been corrected.

Bug Product Costing Quick Editor

Double-click on a raw material which is connected with mass calculator - Different behavior in Quick Editor

Double-click on mass calculated part will open the mass calculator. Select the open button will open the part itself.

Bug Product Costing Reassign Master data (assembly) button should not reassign master data if the data is direct input mode.

For switching direct inputs to linked again, use the right mouse click simulation reassign functionality.

Bug Product Costing Material view is displayed incorrectly (part number column size is too small) when using .NET Framework 4.6.x

The column width has been fixed. However this will not resolve all issues with very long names or numbers.

Bug - Limitation

Product Costing .ppccalc file cannot be imported if mass quality in use by calculation is not defined on target DB

On the target database the mass qualities must be there. Create them first and then do the import.

ER Technology Module 'Selection algorithm' for cutting materials seems to be incorrect

The selection algorithm for cutting materials based on drilling dimensions has been adjusted with 8.1.

The material calculator window will always stay on top and not vanish if other applications are used in between.

With screen resolution 1024 x 768, the mass calculator window was not completely displayed. This problem has been solved with 8.1.

PR Technology Module 7895809 Change of substance in mass calculator does not change designation of part

With 8.1, the substance designation is no longer initially transferred to the designation of the created parts. A renaming of the material mass part can be done in the material mass calculator editor. A change of substance in the material mass calculator will not affect the designation of the material mass part. Existing materials will not be renamed but for future creation of materials from within material calculator, the designation will not contain the designation of the substance anymore. An update for the designation has not been implemented.

Technology Module 7946696 Increased material costs in the 8.0 database after migration from 7.0 to 8.0

The material costs have increased since tool calculations from version 8.0 onwards use the standardized lookup for overheads. Overheads for the used cost types will be looked up globally on the database. Lookup criteria that can be used are plant (tool shop site) and date of calculation.

PR Technology Module 7896657 Injection time in cycle time calculator not realistic

The calculation of the injection time has been changed with 8.1 to a formula based on factors derived from empirical data and now reflects a rough estimation based on the injection volume (part volume * cavities). New Formula: Injection time = 0,336*Injection volume^0,3394 (based on “Injection molding technology: Processing – Machines – Peripherals”, S. Stitz /

PR Technology Module 7896734 Cutting speeds for thread tapping operations in Machining Cycle Time Calculator are too high

Fast motion speed is not considered as working speed for thread tapping cycle time calculation. What could be found as problem cause is the wrong cutting speed derived from the master data used. With 8.1, master data for thread tapping has been added as researched through a tool manufacturer’s catalogue / technical guide. With TcPCM, we provide HSS thread tapping and coated HSS thread tapping tool data. We do not provide HM thread tapping tool data. If different cutting data needs to be entered, this can be done by switching to manual mode.

PR Technology Module 7864473 Cutting width (engagement) in ProMill CTC formula wrong

The calculated cutting width sometimes exceeded the tool diameter. This has been corrected with 8.1 so that the maximum cutting width value is equal to the tool diameter.

Bug Technology Module Inject CTC: Injection volume must be derived from shot weight, not from deployed weight

If a material calculated part is linked to a cycle time calculator the injection volume will now be calculated from the shot weight and no more from the deployed weight. So the injection volume will also include the sprue weight (if sprue weight has been entered in case of using a cold runner system).

Bug Technology Module Machine lookup for Laser CTC is not correct

The machine search started from laser cycle time calculator filtered for machines with not-needed properties, such as loading length. With 8.1, not-needed properties are no longer be filtered, so that proper machines for laser cutting can be selected in the cycle time calculator.

PR Import / Full Text Search 7908432 Filters “Creation date”, “Last change date” in full-text search are 1 day behind

During imports, an incorrect UTC conversion was done for creation date and last change date. This has been fixed.

PR Import/Update 7570991 Importing tools and devices by "Detailed input" mode results in "Direct input" mode

When using the "Import BOM from spreadsheet" function in combination with configuration class "Converter for work plans", tools and devices could not be imported using "Detailed input" mode - even though the import was configured to use "Detailed input" mode. This setting did not get respected which resulted in imported as "Direct input" mode. This behavior is fixed.

PR Import/Update 7853835 BOM update capability does not update the calculation quality

When running a BOM update, the calculation quality could not be changed, e.g. from "Estimation (rough)" to "Benchmark". This is fixed and the BOM update now respects changes to calculation quality.

Bug Tool Costing Unused functions in stamping tool profile - Editor for Tool specification for function 3.6.6.4 - Slider

With 8.1 the options 'Insert for slider guide', 'Slider bar geometry', 'Slider bar dimension', 'Taper key design' and the slider editor option have been removed from the default stamping tool profiles function 3.6.6.4 - Slider. These functions were designed for an injection molding tool profile and were not used in a stamping tool calculation. With 8.1, the 'Type of material for stamping slides' and 'Heat treatment process for sliders' have been added to the tool specification editor for the slider function to makes them editable in the profile as these options were already editable in the functional structure of a stamping tool calculation. Now tool profile options and functional structure options for sliders are aligned.

You can now search for projects in the full-text search and use the “Folder” filter to search in a specific Folder or you can right-click on a folder and select "Set as filter in Search".

In the “Dynamization” tab the cost types should be entered per product (root parts)

Prior to version 8.1, you could assign increase rates in a profitability calculation at a project or plant level only. Now you can additionally manage increase rates on a product level (root parts under the project). Select “Product specific” in the "Increase rates definitions" to use this feature.


7946016 Calculation of cash flow / working capital and KPIs (Profitability) on product level

Prior to version 8.1, key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the net present value or the internal rate of return were available only at the project level. You can now calculate KPIs for each product in a project.


7946007 Add further distribution mode for investments in project - multiple-selection

Previously, you could allocate investment to one product within a project or to all products. You can now choose to apply the investment flexibly to a specified number of products at varying amounts within a project.

This behavior takes only place (and is as expected) if you hide known extensions from the Windows Explorer settings and add the extension .txt to the visible file names (since you suppose it is missing). Then the file name will be 'AddInsVersionNumber.txt.txt', and TcPCM does not correctly detect the CBD AddIn.
