THE SEARCH CONTINUES
Our Lenten study program had a rocky start this week with the severe weather and countless power outages. We apologize to everyone who has tried to log into a zoom meeting or join in an in person gath-ering this week. We will work hard to do better this coming week. Every group should move on to Epi-sode 2 this week (February 21-27). If you missed Episode 1, please watch it on your own and your group will plan on a little time to discuss it when you meet this week. If you tried to sign up for a group but never were contacted with a zoom meeting log in or phone call, please try to sign up again. We have experienced a lot of glitches in our communication media recently. I’m sure you will agree The Search is worth the extra effort to try again this week.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! As we increase the total number of people who can attend the Masses, by opening the chapel and parish hall as the overflow. We are in need of volunteers to greet, usher and run the com-puter/projector for the 10:45am Mass, please help. PARISH-WIDE BABY SHOWER The Daughters of Isabella will be sponsoring the annual parish-wide Baby Shower during the whole month of February to support the Cookeville Preg-nancy Center. There will be a box in the Chapel entrance to collect new baby items.
BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL Here we are. Another Lenten season is upon us. This is the year I’m going to make it all 6 weeks. I’m going to give up Coke and candy bars. I’m going to fast on Fridays, and I’m going to pray in the morning before work/school. I’m committed. (By the way, how are your New Year’s resolutions going?)
Don’t worry! We’ve all been there. Every year. All you have to do is try. All you have to do is try each day. Then, when you forget and eat something you shouldn’t have, or didn’t pray in the morning, just start over the next day. The biggest thing is to NOT GIVE UP.
Ask God for help this Lent. Ask him to walk with you, to guide you, to strengthen you. Then do your part - One. Day. At. A. Time. - and be sure to pray, fast and give. (Have you made your pledge to the Bishop’s Annual Ap-peal for Ministries?)

BABY SHOWER PARROQUIAL Todo el Mes de Febrero
Las Hijas de Isabella patrocinarán el Baby Shower parroquial durante todo el mes de Febrero para apoyar al Centro de Embarazo de Cookeville. Ha-bra una caja/canasta en la entrada de la Capilla para recolectar artículos nuevos para bebés.
LA BÚSQUEDA CONTINUA Nuestro programa de estudio de Cuaresma tuvo un comien-zo difícil esta semana con el clima severo y innumerables cor-tes de energía. Pido disculpas a todos los que han intentado iniciar la sesión en una reunión de zoom o unirse a una re-unión en persona esta semana. Trabajaremos duro para hacerlo mejor la semana que viene. Cada grupo debería pasar al Episodio 2 esta semana (del 21 al 27 de Febrero). Si se perdió el Episodio 1, mírelo por su cuenta y su grupo planeará un poco de tiempo para discutirlo cuando se reúnan esta semana.
Si intentó registrarse en un grupo pero nunca fue contacta-do, intente registrarse nuevamente. Recientemente, hemos experimentado muchos fallas en nuestros medios de co-municación. Estoy seguro de que estará de acuerdo que La Búsqueda vale la pena hacer un esfuerzo adicional para in-tentarlo de nuevo esta semana.
VÍA CRUCIS Los Viernes durante la Cuaresma, rezaremos las Estaciones de la Cruz en ingles, en la Iglesia a las 6:00 pm. Las estaciones también se trans-mitirán en vivo, para que pueda experimentar
caminar con Jesús. También se estarán rezando en espa-ñol, los Domingos a las 12:30pm.

CAMPAÑA ANUAL DEL OBISPO Aquí estamos. Otra temporada de Cuaresma. Este es el año en el que voy a hacer las 6 semanas. Voy a dejar la Coca-Cola y las barras de chocolate. Ayunaré los Viernes y rezaré por la mañana antes del trabajo o la escuela. Estoy comprometido. (Por cierto, ¿cómo van tus propósitos de Año Nuevo?)
¡No te preocupes! Todos hemos estado allí. Todos los años. Todo lo que tienes que hacer es intentar. Todo lo que tienes que hacer es intentarlo todos los días. Luego, cuando olvidas y comes algo que no deberías comer, o que no oráste por la mañana, simplemente comienza de nuevo al día siguiente. Lo más importante es NO RENDIRSE.
Pídale ayuda a Dios en esta Cuaresma. Pídale que camine con usted, que lo guíe, que lo fortalezca. Entonces haga su parte - Uno Día A La Vez. - y asegúrese de orar, ayunar y dar. (¿Ha hecho su promesa a la Campaña Anual de Minis-terios del Obispo?)

This is one option of marriage preparation offered by the Diocese of Nashville; the couples must still meet with the Priest in their parish. The next retreats are in March 13, 2021, April 17, June 12, July 17, in the Catholic Pastoral Center, 2800 McGavock Pike, Nashville. SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
BAPTISMS: Please contact the parish office at least 1 month before the intended date to receive information about the paperwork and classes. Baptisms are generally celebrated on the 2nd Saturday of the month, at 11am in Spanish and 2pm in English. Other dates are to be arranged with the office.
1ST. COMMUNION - CONFIRMATIONS - RCIA/RCIC: Please contact Val Richardson our Director of Religious Educa-tion. WEDDINGS: Please contact the parish office at least 4 months before the intended date (ideally it would be better to contact the office six(6) months to one(1) year prior. ANNOINTING OF THE SICK: (WE DON'T CALL IT "Last Rites" ANY LONGER): Please DO NOT wait until the person is unresponsive. Arrange a visit with a priest as soon as the person’s health starts to decline. As for regular weekly communion for parishioners who are sick and/or home bound we have a small group of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who can visit them regularly. THIS MINISTRY IS SUSPENDED TEMPO-RALLY DUE TO COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS.
FUNERAL SERVICES : Funeral services are designed to meet the needs of the family and every attempt is made to accommodate the family’s requests. The church office, and Pastor will speak with the family regarding the procedure and necessary items. Please do not final-ize your service date and time without initially speaking with the church office. This will allow the church office to check the availability of the Pastor and Church.
QUIENCEAÑERAS: Please contact the parish office 6 months before the intended date, to receive paperwork and start classes. Generally this is celebrated on the last Saturday of the month. ONLY FOR PARISHIONERS.
