ORANGE Order members fromacross the province gathered inBelfast yesterday to commemoratemembers of the institutionwho were murdered during theTroubles.

The highlight of the service– attended by up to 1,000 peoplein the city’s Ulster Hall – was thededication of a memorial stone inhonour of the 336 members of theloyal order who lost their lives as aresult of terrorism.

Of those, almost 200 werecurrent or former members of thesecurity forces.

LEADING unionists have hit outat plans to stage a mock executiono the Queen in Dublin, describingit as “incitement to hatred”.

Nigel Dodds said the protest bydissident republican group eirigi –

due to take place outside the city’sGPO building this Saturday – was“sinking to the lowest o the low”.

Ulster Unionist David McNarrysaid it was “disgusting, distasteuland totally unacceptable”.

custody.
