Currently the aerospace companies and institutions in

Saxony generated an annual turnover of approx. € 780

million with approx. 6,200 employees including a large

number of engineering and R&D staff.

Main fields and Competences:

• Materials/ Testing

• Production of composite parts, including interior,

insulation and technical textile materials

• Aircraft conversion

• Aircraft structural parts and engines

• Electrical, electronic and optical equipment

• Processing of metal parts

• Specialized manufacturing equipment

• Air traffic and services

• R&D – and engineering science services

• HR Services

Chances for the branch:- „Know how“ and Innovation from national and international partners, esp. also SME‘s can be involved more effectively in new products

Problems to be solved :- Realization of practical projects, which System producers and

OEM need, in short time and in an effective way!- Co-operation of SME with Institutes and „Big industrial players“

Progressive projects with new technologies can be successfully:

- in „Lang Run“ (Design- and Production cycles in Aviation and Space Industry up to 30 Years!)

- with Political Support by „Stabilization“ of innovative SME, „Forming“ of Clusters Measures for acceleration of Project „start-ups“
