Anwendung:
als Einzeltest:
um typische Rollen und Konfliktfelder
aus Sicht des Einzelnen zu identifizieren.
Als Interaktionstest:
- durch Analyse der gemeinsamen Antworten:
Identifikation der gemeinsamen (kognizierten) Rollen, Grenzen und Verhaltensregeln für jedes Familienmitglied.
- durch Beobachtung des Entscheidungsverhaltens:
Identifikation der wirklichen Rollen, der Grenzen und des gezeigten Verhaltens von jedem Familienmitglied
Application:
As test with one person:
In order to identify the personal opinion of the different parts of the family
and the different types of conflict
as a grouptask with the whole family:
- analysing the answers in FAMBIT:
to identify the (cognitive) consence of roles, limits and rules of behavior of each family.
- analysing the observations of family interaction:
to identify the real interactive roles, limits and the displayed behavior of each family member

Auswertung / Meßmöglichkeiten:
a) qualitativ / interpretativ / heuristisch
b) quantitativ:
mit einem Interaktions - Meßsystem
(z.B. Skalen von Bales - IPA

c) als feedback- Instrument
um der Familie die Rollen etc. bewußt zu machen, eventuelle Diskrepanzen für die Familientherapie nutzbar zu machen
Analysis - Methods:
a) qualitative / interpretative / heuristic
b) quantitative

c) as a feedback instrument in counselling or family therapy to bring ambivalents or discrepancies between cognitions and real behavior in consciousness.

Die Familie 2 zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Übereinstimmung zwischen kognizierten und real gezeigten Beziehungen aus

The family 4 is characterized as a family with big discrepancies between cognized and real applicated social support: in reality the first son receives the highest rate of negative treatments but is considered as (second part) positive. The parents are labeled and treated consistent negative.
Die Familie 4 hat ein dominantes negatives Sozialverhalten. Besonders problematisch ist die Rolle des älteren Sohnes. Dieser erhält in der Realität mehr als 50% aller negativen Äußerungen der Familie. In seiner kognizierten Rolle sieht die Familie ihn aber (nach dem Vater) als Mitglied, das positive soziale Bewertung erhält. Die Eltern sind auch im übereinstimmenden Bild der Familie negativ konotiert
